Lock still was being antisoci--wait. Didn't he have a thing against heights? Ah, crud, she probably was being too pushy then. But hey, he was already nose deep in his notes, so maybe the guy would be okay. Hopefully. Piper would cross her fingers he wouldn't fall out.
"Maybe!" she chirped back at the ghoul, perking at her success. One step closer to an adoring fan ahem friend. And speaking of adoration, the reaper sat up as Tajana began the class, soaking her words in like they were music from her headphones. Now Piper was more of a fashionista than a quartermaster, and she wasn't particularly good with creating anything other than a rockin' outfit. But armor couldn't be that hard, right? It was just like fashion except safety-er...sort of...
Watching the ghoul from before handling steel, she cringed away (too heavy no thank you!) and looked at the more organic materials. Who in their right mind used bark for armor anyway? Well, besides druids and treeish creatures, she supposed. But she was pretty sure giant spiders could go through that easy. Leather was probably better, but she really wasn't comfortable with being reminded that it came from once living creatures, and she certainly didn't want the extra pressure when she wanted to impress both the teacher and Amrita. Spiderweb it was. Heck, maybe she'd get bonus points with Tajana for working with it!
"Okay, uh..." She eyed the spider she was paired with hesitantly, arms full of the stuff. The spider, if it was biased at all towards her choice, didn't seem to react either way. It did, however, allow her to take a seat, which made the ride down a lot easier. When they reached a dummy, she gave the spider a thank you pat and hopped off.
Alright, Pipes, let's do this.
She woved as best a cover as she could, surprised once again at how well the web seemed to hold together no matter how much she stretched it. What was the word for it? Tensile strength maybe? She could wind it around the dummy multiple times easily, and it allowed for PIper to be a bit more creative with the extra bits left behind: the dummy received a shiny set of bracelets with a cute tie as well as what she hoped was a decent set of armor.
Turning to the spider, she backed off and began to say something about letting it attack, but it seemed to understand the message regardless. She winced as the arachnid went at it, tearing off layer after layer of web until she was sure she had failed. Yet miraculously when the spider finally finished, the dummy was still standing--and with some of the web to boot!
A fist was thrown in the air with triumph. "YEAH! UH-HUH! FIRST TRY, BOILS AND GHOULS!" Piper cheered, doing a little dance.

Had Camilla been there on the web in class the whole time? Yes, yes she had! She was just too fascinated by the web, the spiders, and the teacher to socialize. In fact, she'd been one of the first creeple there! The web had been climbed with ease and the giant spiders looked upon with awe and curiosity. Giant creatures, be them cats, snakes, or spiders didn't much bother the Dormouse ghoul, who was a specie of giant animal herself. The spiders especially didn't bother her, because she often had to shoo spiders out of the mouse tunnels which ran through the walls of her dorm! When your not even the size of a baseball those skitter minis can seem pretty big! The teacher had her even more fascinated! She didn't know they had a arachnid teacher! Maybe she was new! Camilla listened attentively and it soon seemed pretty obvious this teacher wasn't used to teaching... Which just meant Camilla would have to be on her best behavior! When the materials were offered -along with the help of a giant spider- the Dormouse ghoul couldn't help but cheer a bit! The spider she got was friendly and attentive, it happily helped her off the web and to the ground. It helped also that Camilla wasn't scared of it. When faced with the materials, Camilla puts a hand to her chin as her tail begins to sway musingly... Bark was just out of the question... There wasn't much chance it'd survive a giant spider attack... Leather... While it would naturally be Camilla's armor of choice due to it's lightness, wasn't cutting it in her mind... The steel was appealing... But... The spider silk had her the most curious! She'd never seen armor made from it and she wanted to try her hand at it! With her choice made she nods and pats the spider. "I'm going to try spider silk if you don't mind!" she chirps which receives a approving chitter from her partner! She gladly accepts the offered ride from the spider and gets to the dummies in no time. Once there however, she had to learn a few things about spider silk before she could even attempt to make armor with it... First, she learned a spider could produce roughly eight different types of silk! And each had a purpose. One was very strong and durable, another was sticky, another was flexible, etc. At first, Camilla tried to weave the more flexible silk into a sort of blanket... It didn't work so well... Next she tried the same thing with the more durable silk... That went even worse... Unfortunately, the Dormouse ghoul hadn't ever really put much thought towards learning weaving and sewing... Usually she'd just buy something or if so ething got damaged she'd buy a repair spell... Well, looks like weaving and sewing are just two more things to add to her 'must learn' list. But for right now? She was kinda struggling... Finally however, she patches together a sort of quilt made up of smaller silk squares... Frowning, Camilla wasn't at all confident in her 'armor's sturdiness... Still... She had to test it right? After covering the dummy in her spider silk blanket, she nods to her spider companion who looked even more unsure then she did... Still it gives a spider nod and charges! Shunk! The giant spider's fangs EASILY pierce the poor dummy causing both spider and mouse to wince at the sight... Well... That didn't work... Back to the drawing board! Nio Love Camilla has totally been in class the whole time! Totally! Hah hah! Hah...

It didn't take Titus long to remember why he didn't like classes. It wasn't that the classes were hard or he completely hated learning. Secretly he enjoyed it (though he was often very very bad at it) but what he didn't care for was the noise, the chatter, and the general meshing of students. Maybe it was because he just didn't understand the whole making friends bit but it slowly began to grate at his nerves.
At least after a short time the Professor got things underway. Taja-whatsherface. Titus paid attention the best he could though in truth most of the information went in one ear and right out the other. He at least managed to catch the important parts, he was supposed to make armor and their giant eight legged companions were there to help in one manner or another. Though this class would have taken an interesting turn if they in fact had to wear the armor they made and hope it would protect them.
"Right..." His gaze settled on the spider than had quietly sat and waited for him this whole time. Whatever, it seemed to at least listen. "Alright let's go." He said in a huff, hoping the spider would get the cue and follow. It seemed to get the idea and followed perhaps a little too close for comfort while Titus made his way down to look the materials over that he had at his disposal. This was where the hard decision came in. Titus didn't like to do a lot of work. Really if he could get by with minimal labor he would do just that but this class at least seemed semi-useful and he didn't want to make something so lacking that he would be made fun of. That meant bark and steel were out so he went the next route and grabbed up some leather. It didn't seem like it would be hard to work with and was the less strange of the two remaining materials and while it was light it would still give some protection. He just had to be creative.
It took him a bit of time to put something together but finally he had a chest piece to show for his efforts and he made his way to the location where the dummies were set up. As before the giant spider was close on his heels and it bumped into him now and again like it was yearning for attention. It only proved to make Titus speed up his steps, his long legs eating up ground until he nearly ran into the dummies trying to get away from his companion. Grumbling he fitted the dummy with his armor and stepped back and waited for the result.
Leather was not the way to go.
"Merde."

It was back to the drawing board and Titus still didn't want to make anything from bark and steel seemed like it would call for too much effort. That left him his second choice in material which was spiderweb.
"This stuff better not be sticky. Alright, eight eyes chop chop." At least the spider didn't seem to mind his bossy attitude and soon produced a sheet of fabric for him to use. It didn't seem like much but Titus still went through the effort to fashion it into a chest piece before taking it back to the testing area.
In a matter of seconds it was completely obliterated. "Okay so...that's out." Titus threw up his hands in frustration before he turned back to his eight legged companion. "You can't cut a boil a break?" The spider only wiggled happily in response as if pleased with itself.
Taking in a deep breath Titus sighed as he dropped his head. It was time to put a little more effort in.

Titus had no idea where to start with steel. Sure it might have been one of the easier metals to work with but he was no blacksmith. He stood for a long time just staring at the sheet of metal while his companion edged closer, a single leg creeping up onto his work surface like it was seeking attention.
"Hey, legs to yourself." Titus shooed the leg away before he stood back and looked at what he needed to do.
It definitely took more effort and will power to muscle through working with steel. At times it didn't want to bend or mold the way Titus wanted. It was often sharp along the edges and didn't want to cooperate. By the end of it Titus was covered in small cuts but he had something semi presentable as far as armor went. Now it was just a matter of testing it.
Either the spider had heard his previous plea to go easy on him or effort won out this round. His steel chest plate had survived though it was maybe a little worse for wear. Oh well, at least it was done.

After taking the silk armor off the dummy and spreading it on the ground, the Dormouse ghoul and giant spider got to work improving the design.
The 'armor' looked more like a quilt with a hole in the center... Or like a really weird poncho... That was the first problem. The second was the stitching was clearly inferior... and third it just wasn't thick enough... With the problems identified, they were on their way!
The spider helped her with the stitching first. Who knew spiders were so good at knitting!? Next they changed the design a bit to be more Tabard like then Poncho like. Finally, they worked to build up more layers. So, when they were finished they both felt more confident this time! The silk tabard was slid on the dummy excitedly and after backing up Camilla gives the spider a eager thumbs up! Nodding, it rushes at the dummy!
Shunk!
Unfortunately, much to their disappointment, the giant spider's fangs once again pierce the silk fabric easily... However! More resistance was met this time, so the dummy did have a better chance of survival!
Still... Camilla was quickly realizing that she just didn't have enough knowledge to make proper armor out of spider silk... "I think... We should try the steel..." she says musingly as she stands facing the dummy with a hand on her chin. The giant spider nods and chitters in agreement. With a nod of her own, Camilla climbs back onto the spider's back before the pare return to the web.

When the pare return to the web, Camilla spends a good while just sitting in front of the sheets of steel while her spider companion waits patiently.
She sat cross legged and cross armed with her eyes closed as she tries to remember her Knight Dream... Many times while Camille was maintaining her Rapier and Main Gauche, she'd stop and watch the smithy work. It was frankly, a fascinating proccess! The only problem was... Camilla didn't have any of the tools at her disposal that Camille would have had... But... She did have a few things Camille didn't! Like a Monster's strength and a propane powered hand torch! It was going to just take a lot of brute strength and some creativity to make steel armor!
Finally, with her idea in mind, Camilla opens her eyes and explains her plan to her spider companion. It approved and so they both set out to work!
The first step was determining the design. At first, she thought doing multipiece armor would be a good idea. But then she remembered now long that would take... And she didn't have rivets... So, in the end, she decided to go with a simple back plate and breastplate design. Using herself as a model, Camilla first took the needed measurements. Then, she began cutting things out with the hand torch. Once she had all the pieces cut out, she uses a large rock and several smaller ones to pound the metal into shape.
When she was finished, the breastplate looked very much like a metal tanktop almost. However the chest was domed out a bit to give a bit of space between her and the metal. The backplate well looked like the back half of a tanktop. Her biggest problem now was... How was she going to attach the two pieces together...? The solution to that problem came from a unlikely source. Camilla remembered how one would fit draws together in furniture and figured it might work well here!
Using her torch she cuts out several dove tails in the edges of the metal. Then, she rolls them up into loops and welds them down, cutting away every other loop as needed. When she was finished, the two pieces fit together almost like how two halfs of a zipper would! Finally, she uses a length of good sturdy leather cord to tie the piece together!
It was done! The armor wasn't exactly pretty, but it was functional and thats what was important! Happily both mouse and spider return to the dummies with armor in tow. Upon arriving back, a dummy of appropriate size was found and the armor was tied onto it. The pare were both excited but Camilla made sure the armor was on proper before bounding out of the way and giving a eager thumbs up! Nodding, the spider turns to the dummy and charges with fanfs bared!
THUNK! Riiinnnnnggggg!
As spider collides with dummy, it looked almost like a car hitting a wall! The poor spider was stopped instantly by the firmly placed dummy and sturdy armor! The sound of it hitting caused a loud metallic ringing to echo through the air even! The now sore arachnid crumples against the armor in a heap while chittering unhappily! "Ooo! Oh dear! Are you ok!?" she exclaims worriedly to the spider as she runs over to it! It rubs its fangs with a spindly leg more nodding and looking up at the armor with it's eight eyes. After sighing in relief, the Dormouse ghoul does the same. Only to gasp seconds later as she sees a fair sized dent in the chestplate! However, despite the dent, there was no hole! The dummy survived!
"Wow! Yay, yay! We did it!" she cheers while laughing happily and jumping up and down! The spider quickly gets up and chitters happily as well before doing a sort of spidery dance! Least it seemed like a dance. Finally, both of them calm down and the armor is carefully fetched off the dummy. "Lets go show the teacher!" she suggests excitedly while her tail wags merrily! The spider nods with equal excitement and soon both were back on their way to the web to show off their success!

"If you need someone to help with moving things, you can find me." Her hand was small compared to his, AJ wondered if ghouls' hands were always that small and soft. The boil grinned proudly, "Mhmm, I like to bake some treats for my friends and it's one of my hobbies. You seem not minding eating sweet, I'll add you to my list whenever I've baked something." When Damaris's hand was above the tail head, the long feather-like part over its eyes seemed to be fluttering in a spirited beat. AJ looked at the head, "I usually bake more than needed as Bro has a big appetite." The head turned in response to its name mentioned. "Reading....." The boil mused, recalling that Maple loved reading as well and he smiled. "You must love our library then, it's so big and full of different kinds of books." One side of eyebrows rose when she continued her reminiscence with a warm smile, "Next time, show me some of your sketches and teach me how to make flower bracelets? I know the forest near our dorm buildings has some lovely flowers." The request was made but when they were attacked. His muscles tensed up in reflex and was ready to fight when he realized it was Damaris's friend. He allowed himself to ease up and greeted said friend. He chuckled briskly at the behaviour resembled the tail head, especially the shared love for food. The hands with black nails brushed over the fleshy tail and offered Wrex a bag of spookies after Damaris gave him a few pieces. "If that's not enough." =============================== A polite smile was given to the teacher, "Thanks for the answer, Miss Tajana." Maybe he can try to weave a cloth with spider thread, that sounds fun. Alright, assignment was given. Class about combat made him happy, especially when the teacher felt like she would be a strong warrior. A hand gently put on Damaris's shoulder, "Yup, better start working." He turned to the docile spiders that approached them and talked to them like a good friend. "Alright, pals, this ghoul here needs some times to get used to you, so keep a distance, okay?" He patted gently on one of their heads, they felt like slightly bigger minipets in his eyes. "Let's get down, shall we?" The boil climbed down first, and let Damaris be the second so that he could catch her if she fell in the midway. He'd carried her and jumped down from the web if not he believed she would be frightened. Be like a deer caught in the headlights would then be her best description. After they landed safely, he watched their spiders hanging down by their tensile threads. "Cool~" he said with impressed tone. "I will be using their silks since it's a great chance to play with the material, how about you?" Having a giant serpent mount, it felt natural to ride on the spider. "Can I ride on you?" asked AJ, hopped onto the back of a spider when it lowered its body for him. "Damaris, come on." He reached out a hand waiting for ghoul, "I'll protect you if anything happens." It would be so much better if it was a horse, but for the boil, whether it's a horse or a spider, makes no difference. Kaineferu Oh she's pretty! Sorry I woke up late today so my tag only comes now.... Let's ride a spider biggrin medigel They can do their dummies near each other biggrin

"I wouldn't mind showing you at all. It's actually quite relaxing to make them." It was fun to try and weave certain flowers together and it always seemed like a fun gift to give. She didn't know many that didn't like flowers.
"O-oh... Yes. I-I could show you a few but they're not that great..." Just sketches of the clouds and some others of the flowers she liked looking at. A passing bird here and there. She never met anyone that showed interest in her sketches so it was an interesting inquiry.
The climb down was much harder than she would have initially thought but the deer ghoul managed a slight scramble before getting a helping hand down to the ground from the boil. "A-ah, thank you for the help." Her hooves touch the ground with her hands quickly adjusting her beanie as she had nearly lost it on the first drop down to one of the branches.
Her mind was still stuck on the reassuring words AJ had given her a bit earlier up on the web and the explanation he had given the spiders about her slight fear. And they seemed rather accepting of the fact which was a welcome surprise. The spiders sure were unlike the smaller ones she knew of from the forest back home.
Damaris's head flickered up at the question of materials from her companion. "O-oh, you know... That's not a bad idea. It the web threads was able to hold all of us up there, I wonder how well of a material it is." She tilted her head to the web still in it's pristine condition.
And, again, another way for her to over come her small phobia. Work more with the arachnids and get to know them a bit more. If this was going to help... Why not go the whole way?
As AJ climbed aboard one of the spiders, she glanced at her own arachnid steward. It stared back before moving to gesture towards the inquiring boil. Oh! Riding on them? With AJ? She hesitated while looking at the hand before placing her hand in his and was helped aboard the spider. "Thank you again, AJ." She replied with barely the strength of a whisper but she mean't it.
It felt... Strange. She normally was fine with being on her own two hooves with her already pretty speedy self. And Damaris was a pretty good jumper. But she supposed it was alright as it seemed the spider had offered. And he was quick! Those many legs moved in unison at such a speed! With how fast they were going, she couldn't help but cling to the boil with as much thought to not hug too tightly as she could, hiding her face in his back. She trusted him to take them where they were to go... Hopefully.
The fawn chanced a glance and saw that her own arachnid companion was following beside them. It was a mesmerizing sight to watch them move as fast as they did... For a moment. Then it was back to trying to ignore the fact that they could fall off or something.Meegane hoorah for spider rides! poor dama is scared of everything omg XD and no worries c: my tags do that too sometimes |D medigel training dummy buddies! : D

It was really a forever weakness and trauma for Mellow to face strong gumptious woman, if he was a human, he already generated several jars of FEAR enough to feed a classroom of scarelings. However, his status was more like a mixture of dizziness, fear, and helpless. His mother enjoyed pinching his cheeks when the demon glazed over during her allocutions. He hated it and would knit his eyebrows closely together. When Torsten did similiar thing, nevertheless he slightly squished his face, it wasn't unacceptable. His lemon yellow eyes followed Torsten's instruction docilely and just gazed at the dragon's clear beautiful eyes. The serious face of the smaller boil was something he had never seen, he found it extremely distracting to listen to Torsten when his heart begun to race that quickly. It was the first time the demon realized how charming his friend actually was. He was scared but blushed at the same time. The dragon's words directly played in his mind, he knew he have to get over his fear but he was weak and timid in the inside. When the boil has finished with his words, Mellow gave him an obedient nod. The demon had his fear pressed down and braced himself up. "Yup. What should we choose?" He returned a soft clasp. SwordOfTheDarkOnes Tor is sooooo manly in your post *^* He should play boy role sometimes <3

The teacher seemed rather grumpy, she reminded Trisha of a certain someone. No matter, the task sounded easy enough. Though she needed help getting down. Trisha stared down wondering just how she would manage when a spider saddled up next to her. "Oh can you help me?"
The spider paused and then seemed to make a sign of agreement. Trisha's smile widened. She didn't understand why the other students were freaked out by the spiders. They were rather sweet. Trisha ran a hand along the spiders back, brushing off some leaves before sliding herself on. Would it be strong enough for her? It seems it was, as it spun a thread, and then crawled down in a zig zag motion. "Thank you Miss spider." Why did Trisha assume female? Because it was big and strong and the females were generally larger among spiders right? Not that it mattered.
"Do you have a name miss spider? Oh I suppose you couldn't tell me anyways... how about Becky? I'll call you that for now." Trisha proceeded to bond with the spider as if it were a creeper.
Trisha being Trisha decided to decorate her spider with a ribbon. "Sorry I don't have any treats for you they got all eaten." she slipped off the spider once they were on the ground content to walk next to it. It was only the trees that made her worry about her footing.
Trisha did spot her favorite pony along the way to finding herself a dummy. She was still completely unaware of Mellow's fear of ghouls. So she stopped by for just a moment along her way. "Hi Mellow. Who is your friend?" Did she expect an introduction? Perhaps she did. "Sorry no sugar cubes today Mellow, I ran out. All I have are ribbons. Though I don't think they will make good armor." she smiled at the boils.
[quote"meegane"]Sorry stopping by really quick before going to whack the dummies.
[quote"SwordOfTheDarkOnes"] Hello cutie. Trisha has no clue sorry.
Trisha was a little startled by Torsten's insistence that this was class time but she smiled and went along with it. Ok, alright. She instead took her spider up to the dummy and sat making her armor out of spider silk. "It's ok Becky. They seem to be having fun together." but in her heart Trisha was feeling a little lonely.
Once done with the making of the armor, she got it on the dummy, carefully.
"Alright, I'm ready. You can attack." She grinned when the armor held up alright.

He was glad to see the change and effort the ghoul made, "You're welcome." He made sure she was hooking around his waist tightly so that she won't fall. He was glad she didn't refuse it as it would be a much faster way and he didn't wish to miss such a valuable opportunity. He'd walked besides her if she shook her head but now they were riding on spider. The night wind brushed over them was comfortable and cool, the ride was steadier than he expected and they moved fast. Realizing his hair was dancing in the air, he clamped the abdomen of the spider with his powerful legs while his hands worked on tying the long hair into a braid not easily blown up by the wind. Through the crowns of the tree along their path, he could see the beautiful moon following them despite of the pasting views. "AWWWWWEEEEEE WE'RE FLYING~!" Covering in a thin layer of fuzzy coat, the body under his head was pleasant to touch. Their spiders also had some lovely patterns on their limbs and back. AJ smirked for his discovery as well as the grab of those hands around his waist, he reached out to cover them to tell her it's fine. Shortly they arrived and the spider stopping skittering lowered its body for them to get off. He stroked the side of the spider affectionately, "Thanks for the ride, pal. You're awesome." The spider rose up slightly and fiddled its short pair of limbs closest to its mouth in a delightful way. "You too." He smiled to the spider caught up. Head, without hands, brushed itself against a limb of the spider in a mimicry. "Thhhhhhhank you three!" It was looking behind all the way and saw how the spider behind theirs skittered over the ground as if it was flying low. "Ok, we're lucky, these two dummies are not taken." He beamed at Damaris, pointing to two dummies clear of anything. Then he returned to the spiders and asked in a polite tone, "Can you knit us two sheets of spider threads with your intriguing craftsmanship?" He smiled. The spiders seemed to give him a nod as they began to emit silk from their bodies and their hands swiftly interlaced to build webs. "Thank you so much."
