Tambrey smiled at the strange young bird but sighed as the ball didn't work.

"Mind your head." She told the creature and reached to carefully open the car door to let the legendary out.
"Hopefully this works..." She told the agent who'd spoke, and stepped toward the rocket with the cart, gesturing at, or onto, it as she did so.
It worked for getting the Yvetal into the car after all...

As the door opened the juvenile pokemon did indeed mind its head, ducking out of the window and then happily hopping down onto the floor. A quiet click sounded as the grunt locked the cart's wheels into place so that it wouldn't move - or at least not too much - when the Yveltal tried to get in. It needed very little encouragement and squawked eagerly as it waddled over to the cart and set about inspecting it with immense curiosity, occasionally poking at it or nudging it with its beak. Once satisfied, it settled itself down beside the cart, rather than try to climb up its high sides, and looked to Tambrey.

"Ah." Tambrey watched the dark type just... settle on the floor. "Does anyone have any food? It, um, seems to understand reward..."

Either way she smiled at the thing, shook her head and gestured again at the cart.
"Come on now, in here! In we go!" She was trying to avoid it, but she suspected it wanted to be lifted in... But as small as it was for a legendary, it had shaken the car and was still somewhat large. It would probably be heavy.

The small group of Rockets shuffled a bit, each looking around to the others before one shook their head with a vaguely bewildered expression, "Ah, no, we didn't bring any food.."

Tambrey's excited words got the Yveltal similarly excited and it brightened and straightened up, wiggling in place a bit as it looked back and forth between her and the cart. Understanding her command now, the young pokemon briefly fretted over the cart, circling it and peering in it and nudging it with its beak until it finally stopped and gripped it in its beak and tried to lift itself in. It didn't get far at all, only far enough to wiggle one foot in the air a bit before it switched tracks and started flapping its wings, but with its beak holding onto the cart it didn't get too far that way either. Relinquishing its grip for the time being, it stepped back a bit, flapped its wings more, and pushed itself into the air long enough to half-fly, half-glide into the cart. Once inside the bird took a moment to settle itself and pull its large wings in to its sides as well as its tail, but once it did so it gave a triumphant squawk and beamed at Tambrey expectantly.

"Um, could someone get some please?" Tambrey asked hopefully, and hoped that petting would be enough of a reward to pacify the little deathbird for getting into the cart.
"Good bird! Very good bird! Well done!" She sort of baby-talk toned at the Yvetal, reaching to pet it extensively again before hoping to get the cart moved for the lab.

"So, um. This one and the, uh, package in the car both need to be secured in the labs..."

One of the Rockets hastily departed at Tam's request. The Yveltal squawked excitedly and seemed to bounce in the cart, eagerly pushing its head into Tambrey's hands and nudging them as she petted and praised it.

"Uh, we'll get the fossil," one of the grunts said before two of them circled around to the back of the empty vehicle, no longer afraid to go near it now that the Yveltal was in the cart instead, and carefully pulled the box out and onto a separate, more appropriate cart for carrying a large box as opposed to a large pokemon. The last extra rocket fidgeted a bit, not seeming too willing to get close to the Yveltal despite its tame behavior. "Are you going to, uh, just... wheel it to the labs like that?" He asked uncertainly. "You're not going to knock it out first or anything?"

Tambrey kept petting the legendary but turned to look back and watch the fossil's box being unloaded.
Legendary death bird or not, the fossil was /still/ very exciting.

"Hm? Oh." She glanced back at the Yvetal, smiled at it, but considered it after the Rocket asked.
"No, it's still a legendary. It'll be safer if it's asleep." She palmed a pokéball from her belt and started humming at the little legendary- a lullaby- as she released her Butterfree, Pili.
"~Slee-ee-eep Pow-ow-der~" She sang into the lullaby, feeling ridiculous.
For Pili, of course, the target was obvious.

The Yveltal cooed at Tambrey and nuzzled into her hand, and when the Butterfree appeared it chirped at it happily - and then its head dropped into the cart the moment the puff of Sleep Powder hit it, and promptly fell asleep. After a moment or two, it began making soft cooing sounds in its sleep. The nearby Rockets visibly relaxed once it fell asleep, but as one approached to push the cart he said, "We'll have to transport it quickly, we don't know how long it'll stay asleep for. Agent, would you mind accompanying the Yveltal in case it wakes up again?"

Sync coughed to overpower the laugh that threatened to bubble up, then moved to assist the pair of grunts with the fossil.

"Good girl Pili. Return for now."
The Butterfree was returned to her ball with a happy chirp of her own.
Tambrey glanced at Sync. She might have been concerned that the cough was because he took in some Sleep Powder somehow, but as he didn't drop, and she didn't actually look too concerned, it probably wasn't that.

She smiled at the Yvetal, petting it one more time- thank goodness for the short viability of natural Sleep Powder- and then glanced at the box with the fossil when asked.

Between 'potentially very interesting fossil that still had to be unboxed and unpackaged before any useful study could be done, or identification made' and 'sleepy very cute baby death legendary' was a surprisingly easy choice.

"Certainly." She nodded to the Rocket who asked. "Let's get going."

The Rocket looked quite relieved to hear Tambrey's response, and nodded before wheeling the sleeping juvenile legendary out of the garage, taking them on a very short trip to the elevators, while Sync and the others followed with the fossil cart. Once at the elevators, both carts split, with the Rocket pushing Yveltal along with Tambrey stepping inside first. The legendary remained fast asleep, making soft noises every so often, even as the elevator hummed and moved them all the way down to the bottom floor for the labs.

After exiting the elevator and heading down the hall, the others arrived on the same floor but headed in a different direction with the fossil, leaving Tambrey and the other grunt alone with the Yveltal. Said young legendary stirred a bit and made a sleepy chirp, blinking open bleary blue eyes that sought Tambrey out from within the cart, but otherwise didn't seem too inclined to move just yet.

In an elevator with an Yvetal.
Once upon a time that might have been a nightmare scenario for Tambrey, but with this Yvetal, and not only due to it being asleep, of course, it really wasn't. She wasn't sure how the others felt about it but based on how the bird had behaved so far, and how cute it seemed to be even in sleep, she couldn't help but feel... well... fine about it.

At the sleepy chirp, she peered in and waggled her fingers at the baby dark type, not reaching in to pet while they were moving along, of course, because that would make pushing the cart awkward.
PostPosted: Thu Nov 12, 2015 9:08 pm
While the Yveltal was asleep the grunt seemed fine, though he tensed when the baby legendary seemed to wake up a bit, but refrained from reacting since it didn't immediately jump up and assault either of them. Instead the juvenile made a sleepy but happy coo at Tambrey, but otherwise remained curled up in the cart.

...for just the next few minutes, at any rate. A bit further down the hall, the legendary suddenly decided it was done riding in the cart, stood up, and hopped/flapped out of the cart with less effort than was required to get in initially. The grunt inhaled sharply and staggered back, even though the Yveltal did little other than pause and look all around the room. A couple rockets in lab garb emerged from a nearby room at that same moment and the dark-type gave a start of surprise before reacting immediately: It gave a frightened chirp before hastening over to hide behind Tambrey and peek out at them from around her legs.

The sleepy cooing reinforced the baby legendary's cuteness and Tambrey couldn't help but grin, but with a pang of sympathy, for the grunt's reaction. It was a perfectly reasonable reaction after all; she was much the same before the baby had proven itself so... well behaved and adorable from picking it up from the side of the road, to the car ride, to here...

Oh good, nearly there without an incident...

And it was out of the cart.
Right. Okay then.

"Whoa, whoa! It's okay!" Tambrey crouched down, but with her left arm extended, trying, it seemed, to reassure both the little legendary and the humans around.
She then reached out to pet at the little Yvetal, gesturing toward the rockets that seemed to have startled it.
"They're okay, see? No different to me or, um, him." She nodded toward the grunt who'd been pushing the cart; the Yvetal hadn't seemed to have minded him either. "See. Nothing to worry about. Fine."
PostPosted: Thu Nov 12, 2015 9:23 pm
When Tambrey crouched and spoke, the legendary seemed to calm a little, but only just; it remained hesitant and continued to peer around her uncertainly at the new humans, and instead of calming fully it crept closer to Tambrey and carefully leaned against her, occasionally peeking around her at the new Rockets.

One such Rocket spoke up, "We were wondering when you'd arrive. I'm guessing you couldn't put it in a ball, so we'll get someone down here to wipe its registration so it can be transported more easily next time. We can take it from here."

"Ah, yep. No ball. That's, um, good though. Will make it easier. It definitely seems /used/ to pokéballs. It held still when we, um, tried one. So not only registered but someone may have kept it in one for a time or too." She frowned. That idea just made it more odd that they'd found it where they had.

Tambrey petted the creature a little more then moved to stand up.
"Uh. Well, if will go with you. It may not. It seems to, uh, have developed a liking for me. It's been very co-operative until now..."
