"The recorder." Jerome repeated, "S'that little flute lookin' thing?" He didn't recall ever having to learn how to use one of those in his younger years of education, when he actually WENT to school,
He let out a thick chuckle, licking his lips lightly and shifting out of the way of the two ladies before answering his partner "Naw man, I ain't played in years, Sure M'ganna have to re-learn all that s**t. Y'wanna learn?" Jerome finished up with a question.

"Sort of?" The teen cocked his head slightly and withdrew his hands so he could mimic how to hold a recorder. "It's like...a downwards facing flute, sort of." He laughed at the horrible description but inevitably shrugged it off. "It doesn't matter, if I ever go to my storage locker I'll dig my old recorder out to show you." He promised, craning his head to try to spot the food court though he ended up giving Jerome a vaguely incredulous look at the offer. "Learn to play the guitar?" He repeated, trying to imagine himself playing. "...Why not? It sounds fun and teaching is a great way to refresh your own knowledge." He nodded excitedly and wiggled long fingers to stretch them out.

[Citrine, Izumi]

Ion was prepared to introduce himself once Citrine mentioned introductions, but she beat him to it - not that he minded, of course - so instead he remained quiet for the time being, though he did offer Izumi another gentle smile. As Citrine introduced them, Jozette grudgingly gave Izumi a tiny wave, while Yulia offered a more friendly wave than her fire-type companion. Ion offered a grateful smile to Citrine before turning to Izumi, "It's a pleasure to meet you."

Tilting his head lightly with a quirked brow, the darker of the two men grinned lightly, getting a good enough picture of what he was trying to describe.
"I gotcha." He nodded "Bust it out though man, form a band r'some s**t." He chuckled.

Reaching a hand out to pat it on the younger man's shoulder blades Jerome grunted with approval when he agreed to let Jerome teach him "yer growin' more bad a** by the second man. We're gettin' ya there." He teased with something of his dead pan drawl.

"Seems I am late to the festivities," Keita exclaimed to her main pokemon Serperior, the regal pokemon scowling at those who passed by his owner. Keita had decided to finally stop training her team for the day and make her way to the Kodo's regional department store, mostly to get some good deals and because she had hear there would be music in the atrium. There wasn't many things that brought a smile to her face, but music was one of those. That was if it was good music of course. Who liked listening to cringe worthy racket? Not this team rocket grunt, nope not her! ", I wonder if I could recognize anyone. Hmmm..."

"I-its nice to meet you all... I'm I-Izumi." She smiled shyly at the two, though the expression slowly slid from her face upon looking at Jozette.

"O-oh..." The color drained from the girl's face. "I--Um..." She started backing away slowly, stammering ums and Is and making little whimpering noises.

Michiko turned towards Oliver, listening intently. "I understand not wanting to divulge information. Though I approve of sharing knowledge, researching is competitive. Don't want anyone stealing your research and taking credit."

She thought about the pokemon dragalge and heard about it. "I would love to see a dragalge! I heard about them, but I haven't gotten a chance to see one before. But i gotta ask. Do you know how golbat come to have a poison typing? I have a golbat but with it living in caves, I don't know how it could come to have a poison type when other pokemon found in caves don't have that typing."

"I think the poison typing goes beyond environmental causes. Zubats are blind and predatory, having poison to restrain prey is a beneficial adaption," Oliver mused. "Other cave pokemon could be said to evolve camouflage such as the geodude line. "

"Heh, don't want anyone stealing your expensive researching and making money on it. There's probably academic pride on the part of the people who work there but the people who own the company? Pretty sure all they see is the dollar signs," Dith added, smiling amiably and shrugging as he uttered the cynical statement. Capitalism had fun shopping, yes, but it also had its drawbacks just like any system of government.

"I had read a little about that, the tumors," Dith nodded to Oliver, "I forgot about it until you reminded me though! Heh, that's what happens when you get old, you forget things all the time. It's fascinating stuff! I hope we see some advances in it over the next few years.

"And, mmh," Dith nodded to Oliver, "that makes sense right? Because they drink large volumes of blood, they can be none too slow on take off after a meal! Having slowed their prey down would be an advantage to them. Honestly though the diversity of pokemon- it's huge to get your head around and work out where everything came from. I doubt we'll ever run out of things relating to pokemon to research."

"Humm, that's good; work can really get in the way of a relationship with anyone who's not in the same field as us, they just don't understand," KO nodded, smirking a little bit at the smile on Lex's face. How long would it last he wondered? Well for Lex's sake he hoped that he lost interest before anything blew up in his face.

"We should train together some time," KO added as he made his way down the stairs at a leisurely pace, he didn't feel like cramming into a lift with a crowd of possibly unwashed strangers. "I need to work more with my Ralts, with all of them really actually. There never seem to be enough hours in the day to get through everything I want to, so we should multi-task; train and socialise at the same time."

"This is the first time I have without living in the area... it is a lot more difficult, then I thought it would be." Lex admitted as they walked down. "It not like I can invite them over."

"Yes, training. And I really would like to meet your Ralts. They are adorable pokemon, very useful with the teleport move." Teleportation was just so fascinating and only a few pokemon could use it. "I would like that... have you ever considered night training? I need to work some with my sneasel and they only evolve at night."

"That would be tricky," KO agreed with a chuckle. "I suppose you could... blindfold him and confine him to your room? But security wouldn't like it. Oh to be rich enough to rent a place to be your fake home, humm?" Not on a Grunt's wage, or an Agent's he suspected or at least not an Agent who wanted to be able to buy things on a regular basis.

"But night training," KO made a face, "wandering around in the dark and the cold sounds so charming. I suppose it would do us all good though, consider me persuaded to join you on the condition that we bring hot drinks." Being prepared for any situation - or at least as many as possible - sounded like the best way to avoid dying again. That didn't mean he was looking forward to the proposed venture of course but he would try to keep the bad grace to a minimum.

Trafalgar HAD to take advantage of today. Sales were always the best after the holidays ended. Trafalgar glanced down upon his belt and looked at his two occupied Pokeballs. He had brought his Mudkip and Gardevoir along with him today. Today was an important day! He had to make sure he bought all the clothing that he needed to look trendy this year. Boy, was he excited! While gazing around the store, Trafalgar spotted a spiffy sweater and went over to examine it. "Splendid!" He thought to himself. He could tell today was going to be a day of great finds.

"Ooh how I wish," Lex replied. "But then it is rather impractical and while that sounds like it could be fun, if he was kinky, I don't need security on me." He made a face.

"Mmh, just and hour or two of your time and spiked hot cider. Shouldn't take too long, nor do I want to get very far." Getting lost in the snow was not something he cared to do. Let alone spending any length of time in the snow. Cold was unpleasant.
