As Aldaine and Reynard enter, they bore witness to Gannon and Gianna speaking with the students from yesterday. Given the over snarky and arrogant attitude from the one called, Sokea, if Aldaine remembered correctly, there seemed to have been some form of altercation. Honestly, kids these days. Things were serious enough without some snot-nosed brat who doesn't know when ti keep his mouth shut. On a personal level, Aldaine was annoyed with this particular little bunch of misfits for disobeying a direct order of the academy and nearly getting themselves killed. The Jaguar may not have known much about Sokea, but given what he just witnessed of the boys attitude, Aldaine could tell Sokea was the type of person he didn't care for. The seld-entightled type who constantly wears their heart on their sleeve.

Having said all this, while Sokea certainly wasn’t seeming tp help the situation, he was not the only one and fault. One could not afford to forget Thanya’s complete and utter childishness and disregard for safety and responsibility. By the looks of the youth shifter girl, she seemed innocent enough in terms of personality…and with innocence came recklessness and foolishness…and with those two…there often came a price. Aldaine did understand the adventurous curiosity of youth, all too well in fact, but even in his own childhood, his curiosity came with a terrible price. Besides that, there was a reason that these students were forbidden from entering forest grounds, and the girl completely disregarded such an order. Oh yes, for others, Thanya’s teary, guilt-ridden eyes may have been enough to soften them…but Aldaine felt nothing as he shot a glance at her. The girl brought this on herself, and now she suffers the consequences.

Then, it came to Gin and Rin. The situation in the forest was a delicate one, to say the least. When Aldaine gazed Gin, he saw that the boy was obviously quite brave, atop being a tad impulsive given the events of yesterday. Though Aldaine could not bring himself to harbour ill-will to Gin as, out of all of the students, he seemed to be the more mature, the type to take responsibility. Aldaine could see as much in his eyes and he could also tell when he managed to silence Sokea from eariler. Rin…she…well, Aldaine truly didn’t know what to think. From what he learnt at the time, Rin had given chase to her brother when he headed for the forest to save Thanya. Rin acted out of concern for her brother, much as Sokea did.

Regardless as to what caused the altercation, there were bigger issues a foot, such as the revelation of the missing evidences.

Reynard finally stepped forward to hear the same description Aldaine had given him repeated by Gannon. Aldaine had to admit, he did admire how Reynard took control of the situation and laid down the law with the students. Aldaine stifled a small chuckle at Reynard’s remark about not making them right an “essay” on why they should obey the rules. Aldaine respected that, Reynard didn’t take any nonsense. What matters was that the students had blatantly put their lives in danger, regardless of intent. It was starting to seem that Aldaine and Reynard were of the same mindset. As the meeting continued Aldaine managed to pull Rey to the side reminding him to inquire after the new Court Mage, Lord De’valaer, if case the notion had slipped the captains mind. However, Aldaine also recommended that Reynard did so after Gianna and the students left the office, there was no need to arouse suspicions with the students and direct them to the Valorian Royal Court Mage without necessary reasoning. The last thing they needed was rumours being spread by the students, and by extension, the faculty.

Once the business at the Academy was concluded, Reynard and Aldaine made for the barracks. During the walk back, Aldaine requested to be granted a bit of time to himself. He just needed to walk around the city for a bit, get some air and be alone with his thoughts before returning to the barracks. Thankfully, Reynard understood Aldaine’s position, and so, the Captain granted Aldaine permission and the jaguar went on his way.

Maybe a good walk in the park would do him the world of good…

Gannon had to admit, he was impressed with Reynard. The Captain of the Guard was a ‘no nonsense’ kind of man. Considering that he dealt with some of the City’s worst criminals on a daily basis, unruly students would be nothing to the man. While Gannon didn’t even want to contemplate what Reynard would do if he caught one of the Academy students in the woods, he did admit, he was curious.

With Reynard’s warning given, Gannon looked toward the students. “Captain Reynard’s orders will be fulfilled and left as a standing order until further notice. In the meantime, each of you will serve in detention on your Free Days for the next month, working around the Academy.” He wasn’t going to make them write essays – that wouldn’t solve anything. No, giving up their free time and working on the Academy grounds was a better use of their time and a good way to keep and eye on each of them – not to mention it was a good way to keep them all out of trouble. “This also means that you will all be prohibited from participating in the Autumn Festival in two days’ time.” He pointed out, in case they’d forgotten about the upcoming event.

“If anyone has any objections…” He said, looking pointedly at Sokea, “…then you can take it up with Captain Reynard and serve your detention time in the jails instead.” At this point, he was beyond caring if Sokea rebuked him or gave attitude. This whole thing had been so blown out of proportion. The ripple effect from one act was so huge, it was ridiculous.

“I expect you all to report to your elective classes tomorrow. On the day after next, report here for your detention assignments. You’re all dismissed.” That was all that he had to say to any of them, for now at least. After a quick word with Reynard, the Captain and his fellow guard left, leaving him alone with Brageet. Sighing, he spent the rest of the day seeing to her care and comfort.

For the remainder of the meeting all Rin could do was listen. Although deep down there was that want to speak up against Sokea, seeing her brother stop him from taking his crude comments any further would have to do. Especially now that the City Guard was present, she'd likely risk getting in trouble at this point. Well, more so than she already was. At this point Gannon, the Guard and even Gianna were making it clear just how idiotic they all were... While Thanya was safe, it very easily could have just resulted in more potential deaths. "I... Sorry, Sir..." Was all that came from Rins mouth... The Shifter took a glance towards her classmate who had been extremely quiet since they stepped in and felt her heart sink further. Thanya was at the point of tears. Rin couldn't blame her, she had, accidental or not, resulted in people being in extreme danger. She wanted to try to comfort her... But that nagging feeling inside reminded Rin that this girl put her brother in danger. A conflict that left Rin keeping silent and looking away.

Lastly the Court Mage gave them their punishment for their actions. They would be serving detention for the next months worth of their free days. Not exactly great... But a far better option than what that Captain gave them. But that wasn't all. They would not be taking part in the Festival coming up. Festival? Oh... Great. Was it worth it now, Catherine? You idiot... The idea of it would have been great but instead, she finds out about the Festival AFTER being told she cannot take part. But what's done is done... All Rin could do now is take the punishment. She waited for Gianna and Gin before going home, not even in the mood to stop and inform her roommate at the Academy.

Gianna remained silent as the City Guard Captain began to speak. What caught her completely off guard was the fact that the evidence was no longer there. It was destroyed. ”But that’s impossible…. It was there, in fact, I encased the tree with rock… it can’t be so….” Her brows furrowed as she tried to think of any possible ways that could happen. Nothing came to mind, and if something did it quickly was thrown to the side as not making any sense whatsoever. This information seemed to add another layer of stress on the female’s back as she leaned on Gannon’s desk again and pinched her temple. She tried to block out Gannon’s explanation of the event since she didn’t want to think about it from start to finish all over again. She understood that Reynard did need to know.

After that, the Captain began to lay down the law. Gianna felt no need to argue, in fact, she was perfectly fine. It was right. If that’s what it took to keep people out of the forest area, then so be it. She was just glad that none of the kids had to be taken into custody. It just was unfortunate that all this had to happen in the first place. ”Honestly, if anyone has objections, then they clearly don’t know when to stop. If you don’t agree with how things are going to be done, then none of this should have happened.” At this point, Gianna was finished. She wasn’t having it anymore.

So they were going to have to miss the festival, while she wanted everyone to enjoy the event, it couldn’t be that way. Nodding toward Gannon, she pats his back gently and gave a weak smile. ”Thank you, if you need anything, don’t hesitate to find me or Ven.” Not even glancing at Catherine or Gin, she walked toward the door and paused. ”Let’s go.” With that simple command, she walked out and led them home.

After listening for a bit and hearing what the two from the forest yesterday said, Thanya finally realized that they were from the town guard. This must have been more serous then even she realized. This information only made her more disheartened. They talked to Gannon about what happened yesterday but Thanya was too distraught to listen. She didn't want to have to relive that event anymore.

After being chastised by who must have been the head town guardsman, Gannon finally laid down their punishment. To her it seemed rather light. She half expected she was about to get expelled from that academy and would have to return to her village in shame. Thanya wasn't quite sure what detention was, but working around the Academy didn't sound bad. Sure it meant there would be less time for her to read, but she barely knew what to do with herself on those free days anyways. Her only knowledge of the Autumn Festival was a bit she had read about it in a book so it was hard for her to be too upset about missing that as well.

Still, the lack of heavy punishment didn't lighten the weight in her heart on how she had put everyone in danger. She still was not sure how she was going to be able to face everyone and the resentment she felt for her animal side was almost palpable.

After being dismissed, Thanya would stand up and bow respectfully to Gannon, though she still avoided making eye contact with anyone. Tearfully she would choke out. "I'm truly sorry for the trouble I have caused. I hope in time I can earn everyone's forgiveness." And with that Thanya would shuffle out of the office. Too upset to even think about eating she would head back to her dorm for the remainder of the day.

Aemon had spent a good hour asking for directions through the city as he made his way to the academy. Though he didn’t show it, part of him was very intrigued to see what the academy was all about. It wasn’t very often he got to peek into the world of academics. Hell, beforehand, he had never really cared. To a degree, when it came to the reading and such, he didn’t particularly care, however, if there were facilities which could aid him in controlling his power, that was enough of a reason for him to investigate.

As he approached the academy, he halted for a moment to take in the site of the grandiose structure which lay before him, surrounded by a myriad of beautiful gardens. They certainly went all the way with the design, that was for sure. However, looks weren’t everything and the Azarian warrior wouldn’t be convinced until he witnessed first hand how the academy operated. He made his way through the elaborate hallways and corridors, asking for directions which would eventually bring him outside the faculty office of one Court Mage Gannon Noble. Aemon had been told that if he wanted to apply for a position at the academy, this was the man to come to.

Taking a deep breath, he composed himself and he knocked the door 3 times.

[ - Begin Interaction for RP Day -]

    “$%!@*&%@#^@*(@#&!?!?!”

No amount of cursing could express the way he felt the moment he was informed that not only had a student been injured while engaging in combat on campus, but the Combat Training Grounds, a section of the Academy Grounds and an entire section of the North Wall had been utterly destroyed while he had been in town the previous day. To add insult to injury, Camilla had been sparring against her father, a man Gannon knew to be a cold-hearted SOB if he’d ever met one.

The fact that Lord Umbrawalker had essentially dumped his daughter into the infirmary and left her to suffer not only her wounds but a rebound from the excessive use of her Raiment, made Gannon sick to his stomach and angry as all hell. Standing over his desk, his hands on his hips, he ground his teeth and suppressed the urge to swipe everything off his desk and onto the floor.

Brageet, usually the voice of reason, shared his sentiment about Camilla’s father and didn’t chide Gannon for being so upset over the whole ordeal. The grounds keeper had informed him that Lord Umbrawalker would be returning to the Academy at some point to address the damages he’d done to the campus, but Gannon would rather spit in the mans face than accept his money to fix the damage. Lord Umbrawalker could rot for all he cared.

Taking his seat, he released a deep sigh, shaking his head a bit. “That b*****d…how could he do that to-?” Gannon’s spoken words were cut off by the sound of someone knocking on his door. He released an exasperated sigh and placed a hand at his temple, lightly massaging. He really wasn’t in the mood to speak to anyone but as the Headmaster of the school it was kind of his job.

“Enter!” He called, his voice echoing through the chamber and more than loud enough to reach the ears of whomever was on the other side of the door.

At the, rather loud, sound of a male voice emerging from the other side of the door, Aemon gently open the door and entered into the faculty office of Gannon Noble. The first thing that caught Aemon’s eye was a man with white hair in a fashionable blue garb, standing amidst the office’s fine woodwork and spotless ivory walls. Well, the official word was office, but with the myriad of books shelves, which were completely filled to brim with all manner of tomes and literature, it was more like a miniature library than anything else.

As Aemon gazed at the man that was Gannon, he noticed a…tense vibe from the Court Mage. Frowning slightly to himself, it seemed that he had walked in on a bad time. It certainly seemed like the Court Mage had definitely had a lot on his mind, even the pet owl on its’ perch had an intense gaze about it. It seemed like getting into the academy today may prove difficult, especially if the man who oversaw such procedures was not in the mood to speak to people.

However, Aemon would try regardless. After all, while the Court Mage may be in a bad mood, he still had a position to uphold. That’s Aemon’s logic on it at least. Bowing his head to the Court Mage, he spoke “Hello and good morning, Court Mage Noble. My name is Aemon. I had come here to inquiry about enrolling in the academy. I hope I am not intruding at an inopportune time.”

The man who entered was not someone he knew – not even remotely. Truth be told, part of him at expected it to be Lord Umbrawalker, but he was relieved that it wasn’t. If it had been the Lord, Gannon couldn’t have guaranteed that he’d have held his temper. Gesturing for the man to come closer and have a seat, he kept his keen eyes on the light-haired man. He seemed a bit exotic, although he did dress in a similar fashion to the civilians here. But something told Gannon that this man wasn’t from around here…Sure enough, the accent was a dead giveaway.

“No, no, it’s fine…and you may call me Gannon, I don’t stand on titles.” He said casually. “Please have a seat...” Grabbing a fresh scroll, he unraveled it and hummed lightly. Turning it around, he stretched it out in front of Aemon sliding a ink bottle and quill over as well. “Please fill this out for me. I need to know as much about you and your raiment as you can provide to make an assessment as to whether or not the Academy is a good fit for you as a student. Rest assured, all students are required to fill one out when applying. ”

It was very rare for the Academy to reject an applicant, but there were those one in a thousand cases that needed to be weeded out – students who weren’t here to learn but to scheme or some other nonsense. Gannon doubted that this man was one of those cases, but regardless, he would still need information about him in order to know what the Academy would be dealing with in terms of power and potential.

Nodding as Gannon spoke, Aemon approached the Court Mage and took a seat at his desk. Once seated, Aemon took note of the blank scroll, ink bottle and quill that had been presented to him. The Azarian warrior took further note of the contents he was expected to share, listening intently to Gannon’s words. So, the Court Mage needed to deduce whether or not someone was suitable for the academy based on some personal information… It didn’t seem out of the ordinary, especially for an educational institution such as this one. Aemon was here to learn about how to control his raiment’s power, if that took going into details about it, so be it. After all, he didn’t feel uncomfortable in doing so.

Therefore, nodding his head in understanding, Aemon took the scroll. Dipping the quill in the ink, he had begun to write down what was requested of him. Aemon spared no details, he shared every syllable of important information regarding his raiment and it’s capabilities. If the Court Mage was going to aid him in this matter, he would have to be as bluntly honest as he could in order to give the gravity of his reasoning for being here the appreciation it needed.

Once he was finished writing, Aemon handed the scroll back to Gannon, “I hope this information will suffice.”

Gannon sat back in his chair while Aemon filled out the form thoroughly, much to his appreciation. Some students would simply write a one sentence answer such as ‘I can control water’ or ‘I can hear people’s thoughts and it wont stop’. It was understandable that some people couldn’t fully grasp what their powers were and how they worked – they were trying to attend the Academy in order to harness their powers after all, but the longer the explanation the easier it was for him to figure out what to do to help a student.

Once Aemon was finished, Gannon took the page and read through it. Aemon, no last name, was recently arrived from Azar. His powers were classified as that of a Tenebrar…Nodding a little bit as he read, Gannon lightly gripped his chin, taking in all the details that Aemon had given. After a few minutes, he addressed Aemon but kept his gaze on the sheet.

“Not many Academies are equipped to help train Tenebrars, since they are quite rare, however you are in luck Aemon, we have a teacher on staff that is a Tenebrar just like yourself. If your goal is to learn how to harness and hone your powers appropriately, then I think Professor Chiba will be happy to teach you.” Gannon said, looking up at Aemon and placing the piece of parchment back on his desk.

“Tell me, Aemon, what do you hope to gain by attending Eoana Academy? Do you have any particular goals or desires in mind? If accepted, you would spend at least the next two years studying here so it’s important that I understand what you hope to gain from your time here.” Sometimes people applied to the Academy looking for certain things that just couldn’t be attained or acquired by attending this particular university. Others came for more sinister reasons, of which Gannon was not willing to accept.

Aemon paid close attention to how Gannon responded to the information he had detailed on the scroll of parchment. Fortunately, the Court Mage had not outright refused him, so that was at least a start. Truth be told, Aemon was in some sense concerned that the academy would not except him on the basis that he was a Tenebrar. Luckily, Gannon had informed him that there just so happened to be a teacher at the academy who was a Tenebrar themselves, hence, they would be a suitable mentor for Aemon’s studies.

As Gannon continued on, Aemon nodded in understanding, taking in every word. When the Court Mage had inquired into what exactly Aemon had sought to achieve, the Azarian found himself pausing in contemplation for a moment. Goals? Desires? He had…never had the time to contemplate such personal concepts. He had spent so much of his life simply making his way from point A to point B. Well…if he had one desire…he had some small notion of what it might be…

“In reading the information I have just discloses to you…you’ll know that…my power…this raiment…has a remarkably dangerous affect. I can absorb the kinetic energy of any physical attack…then…re-direct back towards my targets when I am ready to do so. However…there always comes a point…where the energy becomes too much…where I lose myself…lose control… Aemon paused a moment before continuing on, “I want to enrol here…so that I may learn of there is any way to change how I react to my raiment…for me to control it…instead of it controlling me…that is my desire for being here.”

Gannon nodded a bit – he had to wonder if Aemon would have any other aspirations as time went on and he gained control over his deadly powers. Truly, there was a reason why Tenebrars were feared. However, Gannon was of the belief that anyone, no matter their raiment’s power or type, was capable of acts of great good and evil depending on their mentality. Thus, he wasn’t quick to just someone just because they fell into a certain category/classification where their raiment was concerned.

“Fair enough. Welcome to Eoana Academy, Aemon.” Gannon said, offering him his hand. “All students have the option to live on the Academy grounds as room and board is included. All students also have the option to take an added elective class on top of their regular knit class. Knit classes are mandatory, elective courses are not.” Gannon explained, grabbing a pieces of parchment and presenting it to Aemon – it was a basic class schedule as well as a listing of the offered elective – a lot of which were regulated to self-study due to the lack of appropriate professors at the moment.

“Unfortunately you missed the knit class today, but tomorrow if you wish to participate in one of the elective classes you may do so. Just feel free to show up to one of your chose and ask to speak to the Professor. If the professor has any issues or questions feel free to direct them my way.” With that being said, Gannon gave Aemon some other materials as well as a basic Academy map with the listed classrooms.

“Normally, I would give you a tour of the grounds, but I have a situation that I need to deal with concerning an injured student. Please feel free to look around the Academy and explore on your own during your free time. If you wish to only participate in the knot classes then please feel free to do so and if you would like to stay on campus in the dormitory, there is a sign-up sheet outside of the boy’s dormitory with the available rooms.” Normally Gannon would show this all to Aemon, but again, he had other, more pressing issues to see to…unfortunately.

“My door is always open, Aemon. If you ever need anything or have any questions let me know.” That being said, he stood and led Aemon to the door to see him out. Once Aemon departed, he closed the door with a heavy sigh. Hopefully things would get better before they got wore…

Aemon nodded as Gannon informed him. Standing from their seats, Gannon led the way out of his office after he provided Aemon with some material and a map of the academy grounds. From his tone and posture and with the information that he had to attend to an injured student, the Court Mage did indeed seem to be a busy man.

Once outside, Aemon bid Gannon farewell and decided to take a look around the academy before leaving. Amidst his travels he found other faculty offices, the classrooms belonging to other knit specialists and student’s such as the elementor and shifter classrooms, as well as the training grounds and tenebrar classroom, where he would be attending his own classes.

Once his curious wonderings were concluded, Aemon headed back to the tavern for his first shift as it’s guard. Hopefully, his stay in Eoana would prove to be quite interesting.

~ Philia entered on New Day ~

Making her way through the hallway were the Enhancer Professor, who with some observation seemed to be making her way towards one of the Offices. Specifically Gannon Nobles. Having been unable to think clearly enough to teach what few students she'd had, she was only recently learning of one of their current conditions now. The woman required answers. Not to mention the damage in the training grounds that seemed far too well timed to have been a coincidence. She'd assume by the way Camilla is that she likely would not get much of an answer through the student... And thus had spent her time asking around the Academy for information to little avail. This did leave one man most likely to have an idea. She would hope he is not preoccupied however. "Whatever occured, it can't have been an accident." The woman muttered as she traversed the halls.

Once at the door to the Office, Philia would compose herself. It is best to remain calm and calculated in order to best understand the scenario. She'd clear her throat and brush down her coat quickly before giving the door three, short knocks of her knuckle. "Sir Noble. I would not happen to be interrupting you would I?" Philia spoke clear and slow, her voice somewhat raised so as to pass her words onto the other side with little miscommunication. Thus the Enhancer waited for some form of response from within the Office.
