I need a ton of help for Nina and Jin. I'm trying to get ready for a few tournaments, including Jinmaster's replacement tourny if I can get down to DC. I've never played DR before though, I only have 5.
Is there a huge difference between 5 and DR where Nina and Jin are concerned? Any basic stuff I can work on in Tekken 5 that will probably hold up in DR?

Icege Xiaoyu doesn't have a b+1_2, or B+1_2 You know, that little chop ( called Great Wall, I think ) that ends in RDS. With B she stays in normal stance. Should I write b+(1_2)?

My mistake, I didn't recognize it without the ()
b+(1_2) is 6 frames to hit, and is actively hitting until the 12th frame iirc.
Casandra: In terms of DR/5.0, there is a HUGE different for Nina. Jin has some minor differences, but all in all is the same. It's still Tekken though. Punish, break throws, block the big lows, and make sure when you land something that can lead to guaranteed damage (ie: juggle starter) you follow through

My mistake for not bothering to find out the proper way to write it. So you mean that after the input it takes 6 frames to execute the move and, after hit, 6 more frames before the move is complete?

I usually try and knock a player up with the Geyser cannon combo and then hit them with d+3_1_2_f+1+2 (one of the blonde bomb combos, I hope I wrote it semi right). I must find a FAQ. I'm having trouble with chain throws too, and I have a bad feeling that I'll need to be able to pull some off to get far. >.<

Kradvity My mistake for not bothering to find out the proper way to write it. So you mean that after the input it takes 6 frames to execute the move and, after hit, 6 more frames before the move is complete? Yes and no. It executes immediately, and will be considered "hitting" in 6 frames. It will remain hitting until the 12th frame, and then it will go into a recovery phase.

Her u/f+1 command is gone, but her f,b+1 is now u/f+1. With this being taken out, her "instant-access" oki is gone and nowhere near as dangerous. Also, (U/B_U_U/F)+4 no longer hits grounded, so there goes that. You can't delay her poke strings anymore. Also, d/f+1,2 is -7 on block iirc. Spider Knee is no longer safe, even with JF. It's just not as punishable. With the JF, they can only get jabs in. Without it, they can get potentially more. Geyser Cannon and Divine Cannon (d/b+3+4 and d,d/b+3) are BOTH punishable now, as opposed to GC being originally punishable but able to track while DC was safe and did not track. f+3 doesn't give you a follow-up anymore. Now it knocks them away. You have to do the Jap Combo in order to really get any damage off. Launch, d/f+3,2~u_d, SSL+1~b, u/f+4, f+1, fF+1+2. Damage is big though. She's got an awesome, FAST new launcher. b+1+4. It's 14-frames, like Lee's u/f+4, so you get it for free off of low parry. You can also do CH f+4, b+1+4. Chances of you landing CH f+4 are slim to none, but it's good to know. With throw breaking, watch the hands. Left hand on top = 1 break. Right hand on top = 2 break. Both hands straight out = 1+2 break.

TOKYO POP PLAYA I hate T5, Im taking it back, TO ******** hard. crying stare Just go to practise mode and learn your characters moves! if your repeating the same moves all over (like 3 different moves, all the time) you may wanna learn more moves to mix ups. Also learn to launch and do combos. ALot of training will help, take a look at the thread I posted (Tekken Match Vids) and see the results of hard training and learning :3

One tap = side STEP Two taps = side WALK And Jinpachi's way too easy, even on ultra hard. It's so easy to read his moves. Trust me here, I beat him with Christie and Julia so he CANNOT be hard, coz I suck so much with those two.
