Atheism isn't a religion, but rather a lack of one. Theism = religion. Theism broken into two parts - Poly(many) or Mono(one). The A before the theism in atheism makes it the opposite of theism. Meaning - Atheism isn't a religion. (but its is),,,

ok heres a point I have to make many people and most SHOULD KNOW!
that the old church(meaning old chatholic church like before martin luther)
was afake trick to take peoples money, so of course there are fake churches that branched off that..

so I'm going to talk more on my religion which can be considered christianisty but i prefer to call it "the undeniable fact."

that its impossible for people to in anyway evolves ,mutate or form from nothing!... so you say we made up God ...right ....NO!
you see even if God does NOT exist then there is still no proof for atheism cause no one I mean NO! ONE! PERSON! was there to witness it.. right

therefore you can not have any scientific proof for anything(that has not been witnessed or seen)cause science is the accumalation and classification of OBSERVABLE FACTS! therefor since no one witnessed the creation of earth and man no one! can proov that we evolved or were created

therefore its is impossible to know so stop making things up smile gosh,,but

theres is one way of knowing is to die....

ok no guees what I'M A CHRISTIAN!!!!!!

and know why!!!!!!???????

!. cause if ther was a chance in one hundred million trillion million trillion.tetc... you get thge point that God was real wouldnt you want to try going to heaven???
(if not your a stupid idiot as everyone already will knows)
and if there was a CHANCE in one hundred million trillion million trillion..etc ...........,.you get the point that there was a HELL would YOU risk it!???????????

I mean its stupid to risk it right so why not take the chance of heaven and not risk going to Hell... well duh it makes perfect sense (but your probly so fedup with yourselves that you think youir pleaseure is more important than going to heaven !!!!!!!!!)

so i believe for this one reason:

( ITS MAKES MORE SENSE THAN ANYTHING ELSE ITS THE MOST LOGICAL THE MOST ENJOYABAL EXPERIENCE YOU'LL EVER HAVE!

SO PLEASE LISTEN I don't mean to shuve it into your face or anything but everything I've said makes perfect senses!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Right. You're talking about "Pascal's Wager."

You're also, a giant idiot.

Theres one fatal flaw with "Pascal's Wager.."

To "get into Heaven," you must truely believe in God. If you "believe in God" simply because you don't want to risk burning in Hell for all eternity, you're blaspheming.

And quite frankly, saying you believe in something simply because you're afraid of the consequence of not doing so, to me, makes you a f
ucking coward.

And beside all of that- Your arguement AGAINST athiesm, is also applicable towards religion, possibly even moreso-

People like you say "Oh, people can't come from nothing, so there MUST be a God, who created them!"

Right. Well, if that's true- Where the f
uck did "God" come from??

I swear, at least half of the time that people debate religion, they must not f
ucking read.

MotherOfLove-Life
I am not an atheist nor do I believe that people should be! To feel that god is unforgiving or makes people suffer isn't up to him its because of events in our lifetime to cause these horrible things to happen, such as our economy, greed, and just plain being human. It is in our nature to destroy, and thats exactly what has happened we(humans) have distroyed what he has created. And thus cancer, and other deadly diseases have been the cause of alot of death... My mother suffered then died of cancer, i always wondered why did god put her through that! but, it wasn't god it was because she didn't respect and take care of her body while living...
I guess we will never know untill we die but, all I know is this, its how we live our life and what kind of teachings we leave behind that matters! I know that is holy and sacred smile

Wow.

So according to you, God isn't the reason a two year old baby doesn't get the chance to live its life because it was born with an extremely weak immune system, caught the flu and died?

It's because it made bad choices in the womb, and was a little ba
stard that kept kicking its mothers bladder?

Ugh...

How about this- Have you ever even considered that the reason that ANYTHING happens, isn't because of God? Have you ever thought to yourself, "Whoa, hey, wait a minute- I've never seen Him, I've never heard Him, I've never felt Him..... What if he's not real?"

One thing motivates me to be an Atheist and that is science.

As for the atheism being a religion. Of course it is a religion. After all a religion is just a set of beliefs.

I am exactly like that *looks up* ... I never believed in any "Gods" from the very start though. It just doesn't seem like that's possible... then after learning a bit of science... there is just no reason... how could you people think of all this religion crap when you have SCIENCE???!!!

There is no reason to believe that there is no god or even an afterlife for that matter because look at the paths which can be taken

No god - no afterlife - no longer extended sentience so it doesn't matter

no god - after life - nothing to instigate and counter death not possible

God - no afterlife - extend reason from first

God - after life - sentience continues so if believed then proved valid if not then is the only point at which a lack of belief matters

also I like Reneis Des Cartes prof of the existence of god esspecially because of science, but it is too long to post here so if you want you can look it up.

I have a brain and it produces thoughts. If there was a god, it would not let me have these thoughts, devil or no devil.

I don't believe in a god or gods, not because I can't 'see' him/her/them, but because I don't believe in the mainstream 'life after death' principle they all have. It seems impossible for any kind of being to have a soul, to me at least. ._. But if I had to adhere to any kind of beliefs, it'd be self-improvement, living life to the best of it, self-sufficiently, and dealing with your problems. I think that's all there needs to be in a religion. :3

A question that I fully can't answer. I don't believe in god, but I don't call my self an Atheist. I don't because I have no real reason to believe in him or not, and I don't have my own explanation for why the universe was formed.

I personally think it's wrong to force someone to believe in something that they don't. Say your parents are Catholic and you just don't believe in what they're saying , I don't think it's right you should have to just because your parents do. I want to believe in what I want to. I believe in god but , in my own way.
