Heeeeere's JOHNY!
Bah! It's been far too long! How have my peeps been? ... Do not expect me to use the word 'peeps' again... I ran out of alternatives, somehow!
My college has been on strike for the last several weeks! Don't ask why, there's a lot of puertorican politics (the worst...) involved, and the atrocities comitted upsets me and makes me even more desperate to get the hell out of this prison! There's only two weeks of class remaining once the whole thing resumes. My transfer to the Philosophy Department is now official! Woo! My courses are: Artificial Intelligence. 3 Perspectives: Psychology, Engineering, and Philosophy. -7 Credits Radical Enlightenment: From "Libertine" to "Philosophe" -3Cr Ancient Philosophy-3Cr Introduction to Western Culture -3Cr French I -3Cr
I wanted to take a history course, but the huge elective at the top is hugging way too many credits.
Basically, I've been reading a lot and writing entire tomes for my writing courses. I've had to write 20 essays and journals, I still have 8 left. I hardly sleep still, reading keeps me up most of the night and my sleep schedule consists of black-outs while I'm lying on the bed or sofa So, I've pretty much haven't changed much!
Oh!!!! I've been meeting up with a professor and several friends from the Humanities every Thursday night and talking about specific chapters on philosophy that the professor gives us. I don't know how you say it in English, we just call them "Tertulias" (Don't you just love that word, Spazzy?) =D
I'm also looking into liberal arts colleges I can go on a National Student Exchange (NSE) for a year. I've been REALLY into Calgary University in Alberta since I really like their ideas on the Philosophy and History of Science curriculum. But I don't know what dementia made me even consider that as an option when I froze my nipps off in Orlando... in late March!
I wanted the University of Texas at Austin (among the biggest Philosophy campuses in the US) but they're not in the program. But ultimately, the Exchange is more about being on the mainland long enough to try and secure connections, gather financial aid info, write to and meet several professors in the area, and generally try to maximize my chances of transfering. For good. I've had enough of my homeland. It's a prison, I swear.
Oh, and I simply MUST show you guys a piece I wrote the other day. It's simply my best written work to date!
And I've rambled for too long! Nadi will shut up now!
