I just put Mother on the plane to send her home, after a really lovely visit. I wish we lived closer.

I think the hard part about a parent's visit is that she's only got a week to visit, so she has to cram a year's worth of mothering into that one week. She's a bit up in my grill, trying to do things for me and wanting to fix my hair and shop. It's very sweet, but it's too much. But living far away just is not enough. I miss her. I miss living near Mother, or SOME family members.

Bump 5 stare
So, I got word of another movie filming in my area. This happens a lot. This time, they want extras for a church/community scene -- all ethnicities, all ages but especially older than 25, wearing muted colors (not bold, not bright, not red, not white, nothing that draws the eye away from the lead actors in the scene) of nice church clothes. I hope that's the same as nice synagogue clothes. Extras won't get paid, but there's a drawing for $1000 for five people on set, and we MIGHT get our names in the credits. If I'm credited, you'll probably see "Woman In Snood" or something like that, somewhere in the closing credits of The Return starring Rachel McAdams, Tim Robbins, and Michael Pen~a. That'll be me.
I don't know if I'll be chosen for a part yet, but they're going to call back today to let me know. Keep your fingers crossed for me. Playing an extra in a church scene won't get me my big break, but at least it'll get me on a list as an extra for future movies.

Bump 6 xd
I'm ALSO supposed to do grocery shopping, laundry, house cleaning, and getting my wardrobe together for the movie in case I'm chosen as an extra. Each extra is supposed to wear one possible outfit and bring two others. Oh, and did I mention we have to be on the set by 5:30am, and it's about 2 hours from my place by bus and/or train? Totally worth it, as long as I don't wind up on the cutting-room floor, edited completely out.
