Dylan heard Hunter scream at him, You better watch your tongue boy!!! "Ooops. I forgot vampires have that whole... good hearing thing." He chuckled. Ravin was grinning and she kissed his nose. He was still imagining the same thing. "Just that you're beautiful." He kissed her lips.

She smiled and kissed him back. "So you have told me a million times, Dylan." Ravin opened the door to the bathroom. There was no one there. Apparently, the two had left to do their own thing.
Ravin turned around to face Dylan. She walked backwards until she was sitting on the bed with her legs criss-crossed on top of the covers.
"You up for a bedtime story?" she asked, her hands tingling in excitement. "It's one that has to do with vampires and being bitten."

Ravin broke into a small grin, blushing as his thumb traced her palm. She leaned into him and laid her head on his chest.
"Once there was a girl who lived in eighteenth century France. Her mother and father had died of smallpox. She had no brothers nor sisters nor any related family. She was alone." Ravin closed her eyes, remembering the story well. "Though she was alone, she was never lonely. She spent her time wandering France and eventually entered Paris. The magnificence of the city and its people astounded her.

"There was a rumor in the darker parts of Paris about dark creatures, monsters, roaming the catacombs. The girl, being the adventuror she was, gathered her confidence and wandered down deep into the catacombs. She brought one candle that would last for some time. It burned and burned as she walked. A stray breeze suddenly blew the candle out. She was plunged into darkness.

"Wildly her heart beat, but she forced herself to calm down. She began hearing hisses and murmurs too faint to decipher. Something came from the darkness and knocked her to the ground. The girl lay there, her eyes fluttering in the darkness. Whatever it was was wild in nature for there shone a red gleam of hunger in its eyes. It wanted her. The girl squirmed and tried to fight it away, but the creature took her arm and broke it like a twig. It was stronger than she had thought.

"The girl shrieked. No one heard her. The creature tore away the fabric of her dress to expose her throat. He, for it seemed male, licked its lips and then plunged its fangs deep into her throat. She screamed and screamed; that only made the creature hungrier. Once satisfied, the creature slunk away and left her there to die.

"Her mind was muddled. Everything was dark. Once she thought that she had lost herself, for there was a burning of such extremity it brought her to the edge of her consciousness. She lay there, her insides slowly burning. Then...the burning stopped. She gasped and got to her feet. Her arm was perfectly healed.
Even more, the darkness seemed to have melted away into light. She found her way out of the catacombs and onto the Paris streets. The moon shone down, pregnant and waiting. She held her hands out in front of her. Her eyes became full with disbelief. Her skin was pale as the dead and sparkled gently in the light.

"She ran to a puddle and looked down into it. Black hair cascaded over her shoulders, more luscious than it had been in her entire life. What frightened her most was her face. It wasn't horribly ugly. It was the opposite. It was the kind of beauty that could make one cry, that sent men to their knees.

"It was the beauty of a vampire."

Dylan stroked her hair lightly as he listened to her story. When she got to the part about the creature attacking her he could feel his body fill with goosebumps. By this time, he knew the story was about Ravin Black. The beautiful girl in his arms. left her there to die. Dylan swallowed hard. He was getting mad at some vampire who was, not only probably half way acrossed the world, but also, one he had never met.

The change, that Ravin spoke of seemed painless. The girl in the story looked into a puddle and she described the girls hair and how strikingly beautiful her features were. It was the beauty of a vampire. Dylan pulled her closer. As much as he hated the vampire that had left her for dead he couldn't help but want to thank him. For he gave him this gift that was laying in his arms. Dylan was unsure of what to say, of how to reply. His fingers lightly stroked her face, the face that the girl had seen in the puddle. The beauty that forced men to their knees. He was thankful to be the man to get her. She was his and his only.

And she had just shared her entire story with him. Her parents had died, she was alone. An adventerous loner who wandered alone into the woods. The woods that had been rumored to have creatures. He kissed the top of Ravins head, feeling the lucious locks of black hair beneath his lips. "And the beauty of the vampire belonged to none other then, Ravin Black. The gorgeous girl that I hold in my arms today." He squeezed her lightly.

Ravin sighed. "Beauty is hardly what mattered," she murmured. "I spent my early years fighting back the hunger for human blood. I rarely thought about beauty since then. I isolated myself and learned all I could. I gathered books and researched about vampires. I know as much as I could gather."

Ravin leaned into Dylan. "I'm not amazing in any way. I am just an ordinary girl hidden under beauty I never asked for. I never wanted this, to be hungry for blood..."

Dylan sighed, I'm not amazing in any way. I am just an ordinary girl hidden under beauty I never asked for. I never wanted this, to be hungry for blood... He held her closer as she leaned into him. "I know you didn't babe. But if what happened, wouldn't have happened, I would've never met you." He kissed her forehead. "I think you're absolutely the most amazing girl in the universe. Sure, you're beauty is what attracted me to at first but what can I say? I'm only human. But, I can see that you're amazing. You're smart and perfect for me." He whispered. "I love you Ravin."
