I am .000001 seconds away from quitting my job at this point.

So, for working in the store, I obviously get an employee discount. Yesterday my brother and his friend came by and only the managers can handle transactions with the employee discount, and family cannot ring up family. So my manager took my brother and his friend, and my brother went first. So the manager asked my number and put it in for the discount. However, she assumed that his friend was also my brother, too, I guess? And she got angry and asked again for my number and gave him the discount, too, despite not being family. Then the manager got annoyed and said, "You used your discount two times in a row, and that's not good. The company can fire you for that."

Dude, first off I couldn't ring up my own brother you had to and you asked and gave him my discount. Second I don't know what happened, but you thought the second dude was my brother, too, and it's your fault for giving him the discount so for using the family discount on non-family, that's your problem and your fault, not mine.

I talked to another manager about it today and she understood, and she's letting me off scott free since it's not my fault but the other manger's.

At the end of the night tonight my GM counted out my drawer. Keep in mind, I've never been more than $1.50 short. My worst was $5 because an old lady who hardly spoke English scammed me out of the exact money I was short by and the managers witnessed it, too, so they backed me up. After I clocked out the GM, who has accused me of NUMEROUS things I've never done and the other workers and managers know it and have defended me at said times, came 5 minutes later literally yelling in front of all the customers, "YOU'RE $100 SHORT!!" And I asked her to recount the drawer, and check the lockbox where we put ALL 50s and 100s and she found nothing. So there I waited another 10 minutes and she came storming out again yelling in front of the customers AGAIN, that I was $100 short. We checked the lockbox once more and turns out the missing money fell behind it, and my GM didn't even apologize she just took it and walked away without even saying goodnight.

My managers know I don't do anything intentionally wrong. I've always been good and helpful, and they've even rewarded me for it. But the first manager I've mentioned, and the GM, they've threatened me with getting fired so many times I'm to the point where I'm ready to say to them, "Then fire me!" They're overreacting, and it's not fair, and I'm not doing well there anymore. I've literally never made a mistake, never gotten any demerits, but they've threatened to fire me so many times now that if they do I'm fine with it. My family even agrees it's so bad I should just walk out next time something like this happens.

For the GM to yell at me in front of all the customers twice and then not even apologize when the situation was over, and for another manager to try and reprimand me for a fault that isn't mine, man it's a shitty workplace. It's not me. It's just a shitty place to be working.

Life's too short to be miserable where you work!
I've had this conversation with my beau more times than I care to count (and I'm not going to lie, it's a really big deal for me to tell him to leave his job because he's our bread winner); if upper management can't be arsed to do anything about the real problems and the real problems are making you unhappy, it's never worth staying because, let's be honest, it's not going to get better unless someone higher up the food chain actually cares.
That being said, I don't recommend walking out, I DO recommend quitting properly, it looks better on you (best not to burn bridges and all that).
Regardless, whatever you decide, just do what makes you happier, because you deserve happiness!

I finally wrote the story for my character, Havard. But now I changed his name to Ingvar Ahlberg, and he's Hafgrim's brother.

So Ingvar originally went by another name but that one is lost to time. Ages ago Ingvar's entire village was slain by a vampire warlord named Mordekai and Ingvar was the sole survivor. Mordrkai found him, turned him, and forced Ingvar to be his thrall for thousands of years with no control over himself, and do his every bidding. But Ingvar's rage succeeded Mordekai's control and he sacrificed his blood to the Firstborn Vampire Queen to become a Vampire Lord and slay his master, Mordekai. With the powers of a Vampire Lord, though, Ingvar lost control over himself and couldn't contain them, so he locked himself inside a fortress which drowned over the years and he used the magicks to keep water away so he'd survive but no Human would come after him and get killed. Over the years Ingvar succumbed to the madness and lost his mind entirely, forgetting his birth name.

One day during low tides, Hafgrim found the fortress and traversed inside. Ingvar lunged at him but Hafgrim fought him off and saw Ingvar entirely decrepit, skin clinging to his bones and clothing nothing but rags and gaze entirely gone, then asked if Ingvar could hear him. All Ingvar said was, "Help" in a very weak, whispering voice, and Hafgrim then preformed a binding spell to get Ingvar back into his mind for just a moment. As soon as he could, he wrapped Ingvar up and took him to his longship, let the fortress fall, and began helping Ingvar recover.

Fearing losing control over himself with the rage of Vampire Lord powers, Hafgrim taught Ingvar to channel his rage like a berserker and showed him the path of being a berserker, and Ingvar felt safer and never felt lost again. But the ship neared Hafgrim's home over the coming weeks, and Ingvar didn't know where to go or how to live. He hadn't in 13,000 years. Hafgrim was all he knew, and all he cared for, and he didn't want to lose him.

Hafgrim realized he didn't know Ingvar's name. Ingvar said he didn't remember it, and together the two decided on a name: Ingvar. Then Ingvar asked, "What be your name, my brother?" And he hesitated, realized he let the feeling of brothership slip.

But Hafgrim smiled and said his name, and then the ship arrived at his house and he told Ingvar, "It's time to go home." And he lead the vampire into his home and told him, "Welcome home, brother."

Ever since, Hafgrim and Ingvar have been brothers and it's awesome. I love these boys.

I officially love being DM for D&D. My players kept ******** up the plans. So I ******** them back and they have to make a huge moral decision now.

And the madness begins.

And literally all my players are screaming at me. I love it. wink

Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God... I’ll leave you to read the sermon and then decide on how to run campaigns.

So somebody posted the prompt online of compiling some cool things your characters have said. So here's a list of some of my best, most inspirational and motivational quotes I've written them saying.

“Prophecy isn’t what makes heroes; it’s will.” -Zorak Ventalis (Giving Horizons)

“Just because the path isn’t yet trodden with footsteps doesn’t mean one can’t be made.” -Koth Rog'an (Human Follies and Mortal Toil)

"Regardless of which path you take, all will heed different answers. You must therefore ask yourself: which are the answers you want to hear?” -Auriel Lloyd (Siyith and Auriel storyline)

“The sun rises and sets to signify a new day, and a new beginning. You’ll see thousands of suns in your lifetime, which means you have thousands of new beginnings. Right now it’s about to fall once more. Tomorrow is another chance—another beginning waiting to happen. How about we take that as a chance to start again, and give ourselves a clean slate?” -Riken Agarius (Kodan: Hero of the Seas)

“Knowledge is the means to an end." -Grimchain Kalnova (A Means to an End)

Today was my graduation party. I missed hanging out with all my friends, and I got to bring so many of them together. I can't thank them enough for all the gifts they got me, and I just love everyone so much. smile

Beth got me a Swiss Army Knife. I've always needed one because I love going adventuring, but I struggle in heavy wildlife areas since I've never had much of anything to cut down whatever may be in the way of my path. And now that I have a car I plan on adventuring far more than I used to around the entire state, hiking and whatnot. It'll be awesome!! biggrin

Congrats on graduating!! Are we college bound? (If not, that's perfectly fine, it's what best for each individual person)

Also congrats on the license. I guess I'll just say, "Be safe." It's easy to get into accidents. But also....HAVE FUN on your adventures!!

Yeah, college is a choice, you can but don't have to go. Just talk to my dad, dropped out in middle school, owns his own successful business.

Remember, a study I read said that on average it only takes 10 weeks for bad habits to form while driving.

On the note of going on adventures, you should look into getting a wilderness first aid certification.

My religious organization held a major get-together this year but I can't drive out of state, and it also started on the day of my graduation party. But I keep seeing people post amazing videos of playing cultural games like Jomsvikingr and whatnot, and I wish I could have gone. But I get my full license in February. I think I'm going to go next summer. smile I'd love to, and connect with people of my religion and culture, too.

I've only been driving on my own for about 12 weeks, tbh. I only got comfortable driving alone back in May, I think it was, perhaps April. I'm definitely afraid of gaining bad habits while driving because my sister has PLENTY. She and I both advocated very heavily in school and (for her) college for no texting and driving, we became the most active school in the state for said advocation since we contacted reps and went to rallies and all that, but my sister still has the bad habits of speeding to hell and back and braking last minute. Like... so last minute that I grab the door handles every time because it's actually anxiety-inducing. And I've never done that myself, but I'm terrified her bad habits will rub off on me and I'll do that eventually. I try not to speed much, and I absolutely hate anyone who doesn't use a blinker or uses it mid-turn, and I always assure to follow the rules and whatnot perfectly, or as close to them as I can. But again, with my sister's speeding and braking influence which are arguably the two most important parts for driving, I'm scared she'll turn me into a bad driver in the future.

Tl;dr: I'm scared my sister's speeding and last-minute braking habits will rub off on me even though I refuse to do either.

Also I didn't know about a wilderness first aid certification! Beth got me into adventuring but she never told me about that and I'm absolutely going to look into it now! biggrin Thank you!!

And a lot of people tell me college isn't necessary. I'm not sure where to start with a career, though, and I'm personally not ready for one yet, so I figure college will at least help me prepare a bit. I'm stuck between an art career and a writing career since I've been in a mix of both for the past year or so, and suddenly decided to lean more toward writing just to test the waters and see if I'd like that more than art.

My cat is so chill. She was lying on the edge of my bed like a log, and my legs went numb, but if I put them out I'd have to use her as a leg rest. So I did just that. And she literally did like this little shrug, then went back to sleep and we just sat like that for a long while.
