YOU'RE SAVAGES! real tea is brewed, and blended with a small splash of milk...and served at scalding temperatures! No no no.
True. Perfect. Southern sweet tea is brewed and then sweetened by a simple syrup of the finest sugar. Then chilled till it's so cold it makes a polar bear's teeth chatter. Served on the front porch in the balmy summer.

first, take a s**t in it, second, throw it in the Nile
all tea sucks... hot, cold, plain, it blows

A simple syrup is sugar dissolved into boiling water.
It can be used to sweeten all sorts of drinks and have flavors added to it.
Like maybe a lavender simple syrup and put into a cocktail.

Though I do declare that hot tea is very pleasant.
I like earl gray with lemon.
Or a mix of this tarragon tea and lemon tea.
