The president hesitated, biting his lower lip for only a split second before replying. "Yes, precisely. Like I said, though, we don't mean any harm . . . " He trailed off again, though meaning them not to think he had come to kill them if they really turned out to be vampires.
One of the vampire guards lifted his arm to reach for the gun in his black jacket slowly, but stopped and settled when he saw the king of the vampires shooting a disapproving glance at him for a split second, Then, Lance's eyebrow raised at the president's question, as if thinking he were crazy and turned his head to look at Leora, allowing her to decide whether or not to tell them and trust that they would keep to their promise.

Leora scoffed, acting completely offended. "You think we're vampires?! You think we're . . . Well! I don't think I've ever been so insulted." she said as she turned and crossed her arms, as though shutting herself off from the conversation.

"Please excuse my wife, she's rather sensitive," He said, wrapping an arm around Leora's waist and pulling her close to him. "But what makes you think vampires exist? Let alone thinking that we are a couple of your make-believe creatures of the night."
"Well, it's hard to believe you aren't vampires, or at least you two are related with them and their killings. There was also three other people who had the two marks on their necks, though not dead, only found with less blood than usual, and, evidently, rather weak. The reason I bring this up is because that was only the day after Leora met Erin. At least, that's what she told us."

Leora glared at the president. "Did they say anything about vampires?" she asked, still acting offended.

The president took the chance and went with it. "Yes, actually they did. Also, a boy happened to give a description that seems, pretty close to yours." He said.

Leora huffed, though once again, her fingers twitched. "Well they must be crazy from the blood loss then." she said and then turned her nose up as she once again turned her back to the conversation.

"Even if they were, how could they and all of the people who have been victims to the murders throughout the country have anything in common other than the two holes that look identical in every case. How could scars form when the people were killed overnight?" He questioned Leora.

Leora shrugged. "No idea." she said, waving her hand dismissively.

"Alright, now I'm sure you do know. You just want to keep it a secret, that's why your trying to dismiss the subject." He explained with a grin.
Lance turned his head to look at Leora with a curious look to how she would respond to that, his expression currently soft to act human. But if Leora chose to reveal herself, he would follow and his expression would switch to the stern, powerful one it had been at his coronation.

Leora's fingers twitched again and she looked at Lance, wondering what she should do. She knew that he had wanted to keep the vampire race a secret, but she was running out of lies.

Lance remained silent and looked at Leora with a plain face, trying to send her the message that he wasn't going to help her with this too much. If she was the queen, she would have to learn to make decisions on account of her people. He watched her and waited to see what, or if, she said anything to the president.
Confusion riddled the president's face as he watched the silent conversation, wondering what was going on.

Leora glared a bit at Lance, basically sending the message that he was no help at all. She then sighed and turned to the president. "You said that you meant no harm to vampires didn't you?" she asked, caving in.

The president smiled at Leora. "Yes, we mean no harm. We would much rather like peace then this anonymous killing."
Lance ignored the look on her face and turned to the president, his face now stern and powerful, the face of a leader. He crossed his legs and leaned back against the couch, preparing to see what he seemed to have in mind by 'peace' and how this would end.

Leora frowned. "I want it in writing. Before I tell you anything I want a contract stating that you have come into our territory with no intent of war or harming us." she said, basically saying that, yes she was a vampire.

The president smiled in content and pulled out a piece of lined paper that had been folded and placed into his jacket pocket. A body guard gave him a pen and he began writing down the contract Leora had asked for and handed it to her. "Why do you say it's your territory as if you own it?" The president asked immediately, curious.
Lance smirked and allowed his eyes to return to blood red. "Because it is ours," He answered. "We're the vampire king and queen." He said, pulling Leora closer to him with the arm that was still around her waist. He looked at the human bodyguards behind the president, who looked pale-faced and shaken when they noticed Lance's change of appearance from human to vampire.
