When she said that Theo was patched up and resting, the man nodded, as though it pleased him. Prince Theo needed his rest after what he'd heard had happened to him. Of course, nothing had been officially disclosed but the head chef had heard things, unpleasant things. He truly hoped the rumors were wrong, for Theo's sake.

When Elizabeth told him what she wanted, he raised an eyebrow. Apples... with cream cheese? That was certainly an odd combination, and he told her so. "It sounds like something my wife would have been craving when she was pregnant," he told her. But he didn't say anything more before going around the kitchen and getting what she wanted.

The head chef nodded at her words before grabbing the cream cheese from the fridge and setting it on the plate beside the apple slices. Smiling, he walked over to Elizabeth and handed the plate to her. "Well, this is certainly the oddest request for a snack, or anything really, that I've ever had," he told her. And it was true. He'd had some pretty odd requests but never anything like that.

"When Prince Theo awakens, send him my regards." In all honesty, he liked Theo, and not just because he was his employer's son. He'd worked for their family a long time, watched the twins grow up. He was glad to see Theo returned and recovering from his ordeal and everything was getting back to normal. However, something, some feeling in his gut, told him that more change was just around the corner.

When Theo awoke, it took a while for him to register anything, even the fact that he was awake. He didn't move for several minutes, continuing to lay there. His body ached all over but it was not the horrible aching of freshly delivered blows. It was the aching that accompanied healing. Smiling weakly, he opened his eyes to find himself staring at the ceiling of his room. So, it hadn't been a dream after all. Turning his head, he found his beloved wife asleep at his side.

Carefully so as not to hurt himself, he rolled onto his side, facing Elizabeth. His eyes scanned over her features, drinking in the sight of her like a man who'd stumbled across an oasis after wandering the desert for days. Leaning in closer, he pressed a light kiss to her cheek, then her jaw, then neck.

Theo paused when he felt Elizabeth's breath against his ear, her words registering in his mind half a second later. Pulling his head back enough to look her in the face, he smirked. "And so are you," he said quietly in a tone that was anything but innocent. He was still tired but not nearly as tired as he had been before. His body hurt but, again, not as much as before. He was hungry and a bit thirsty but there was something he wanted -needed- more than anything else, at that moment anyway.

Lowering his head again, he pressed kisses to her skin along her neck and down. One of his hands grasped the material of her shirt, pulling it down inch by inch as he placed kisses along the newly revealed skin. His other arm slid around her waist, pulling her closer. "I have... missed you... so much," he murmured in between kisses.

Theo smirked as he heard the breathy tone in her voice. He loved it, even more so since he knew he was the cause of it. He could feel his heart starting to beat faster, feel his body's reaction to her being so close. He paused in his kisses to pull his shirt off, which was no easy feat. Despite his excitement, his body was still aching from the treatment he'd received. He had bruises lining his body and several cuts as well, some stitched shut while others needed only a band-aid or two. Regardless, they still hurt.

However, he hardly noticed. Once he had the shirt off, the grimace faded from his lips which quickly returned to her skin. His free hand released her shirt, instead unbuttoning the buttons that ran down the center of the front, kissing further and further down her.

Elizabeth stared at his bare chest, gazing over the battered skin. It made her sad at the sight of it but when his pained expression faded and he returned to his doings. Her back arched into his touch, making her bared skin as he unbottoned her shirt touch his to bared skin. It made her skin feel as if was light on fire. Her body felt more alive then she ever felt it before.

Elizabeth good only hear her heart pounding in her ears and the words that were whispered to her by Theo. She smiled warmly and laid her hand against his cheek and kissed him back but instead it was on his lips. "I love you too," she murmured back to him as she nuzzled her face against his.
