New York Comic Con was yesterday.
It felt so much like a dream come true I thought I'd wake up the next morning and everything would be gone and nothing would have happened.
My cousin and I started in Artist's Alley where we met famous artists and stuff. We went our separate ways and called in to check on one another now and again. I traveled about to one side where, like a treasure in the sunlight, Alex Milne from Transformers, who has done art for MTMTE, Lost Light, and many more famous, important Transformers comics, was there. I got to meet him, I bought a poster with my favorite baby on it, Starscream, and he signed it!!!!!!!
biggrin biggrin biggrin biggrin biggrin biggrin blaugh After that, being in my Doctor Strange cosplay, I went to another artist who is famous for his work on Doctor Strange, bought a poster, and he signed that, too!
biggrin After Artist's Alley, I went upstairs and did plenty of amazing things. I found the RWBY panel which my cousin absolutely died with because she was Yang Xialong and so she spent the majority of her time there. We got to meet much of the cast and even got their autographs!! I went around and visited the Marvel and Star Wars panels, the Game of Thrones one where I bought a gorgeous House Stark hoodie (and saw like 50 overly sexy Jon Snows because oh s**t I'm gay), and overall there were so many amazing cosplayers from various fandoms there!
The entire center was split into 4 floors, and easily had about 10,000 people attending. It was impossible to move there, but super cool. The first floor was entrance stuff, big displays/experiences, the underground floor was the main stage and Artist's Alley, the third floor was the main exhibit and where most stuff happened, and the eatery, and the fourth floor was a Sci-Fi Channel fan lounge.
When walking about the third floor, I hadn't checked the back and figured I'd go there. Overwatch Payload Tour, I followed closely, and their schedule had NOTHING about being at New York Comic Con. I felt extremely bummed out about that. I really wanted to attend because it was a once-in-a-lifetime thing, and it seemed super cool. But there, in the back, the Payload Tour was right there, doing filming, entirely for free. The wait was nearly 2 hours but to ******** hell with it, I wouldn't get that chance again!
biggrin So like a child in a candy shop, I squealed and rushed into line and waited the entire way until I could get my video done!! I held Hanzo's bow and arrow, the arrow easily about 2lbs and bow 15lbs so my arm was trembling (but also because my lupus makes my limbs tremble when I hold them out straight), and I got my video taken in Rialto's attack spawn room!
biggrin biggrin biggrin biggrin biggrin Toward the end of Comic Con, I realized, as obsessed with Assassin's Creed as I am, I never had a hidden blade. I doubted anybody would be selling them, as I hadn't seen any weapons stands, but I decided with 45 minutes left, I'd check anyway. First goddamn stand I went to sold Ezio's blade and the one from Black Flag. I asked how much, I bought Ezio's, and holy s**t was I happy!!!!!!!
biggrin I love it so much!!!
There were plenty more things I did, and plenty more stuff I bought, but that was the important bit.
Now onto pictures!! I took lots of pictures with cosplayers, and sooooooo many people wanted to take pictures with me!!! I felt so honored with people asking to take pics with me!!! I don't feel like resizing all these, so all pics are under the spoiler.
