Rein approached the gates of Kirigakure just as a crowd of people was walking out of the gates. The people were walking in an orderly fashion escorted by several ninjas who seemed to be of higher rank. Upon coming upon Rein, she placed her hand up high and commanded everyone to stop. Her chakra flared slightly, signaling to the other ninjas that she was not to be crossed. "What is going on?" she asked as a ninja walked up to her. The ninja explained to them the situation, the Mizukage had abandoned the village as well as its saanin and other higher ranked ninjas. The people were abandoning Mist and now heading towards other countries. According to them Mist was doom.
"No...Mist is not doomed," she said to them as she took a deep breath. The people were all looking towards her, curiousity filled their eyes. The elderly couldn't help but feel a familiarity with the woman, as if they knew her from a lifetime ago. "My true name is Kairi Ushio, the former Mizukage of the Mist Village. I have returned to the Mist in this dire time of need in order to repair the damages that was done and ensure the prosperity of the Mist Village," she told the people. This was only half truth. It would take time to get the people to acknowledge that the Brotherhood had now just taken over their village. By embracing her old identity, Kairi would sway the people and convince them to stay. The prosperity of the village was what was important. After spending much time speaking to the people, in which Armand was probably bored of the diplomacy, the people began walking towards the village.
"Come Armand, Blade and Axel must be here by now," she told him as she headed towards the Bloody Prairie. She could only guess that was their location. She should be thankful that blood was not spilled in order to take control over the village. "Yes Armand, I was a Mizukage, my old identity was Kairi Ushio of the Ushio Clan," she told him. Many thought that she had died a long time ago, and she wanted to keep it that way for as long as possible.

Korumo appeared at the gates of Kirigakure, wearing the disguise of earth that allowed him to appear as another (recently named Rosukus). He moved swiftly through the wooden arch so that he could enter the world beyond those walls, eager to be traveling again. The assassin kept a swift pace towards the land of lightning, but held back with his speed, for he knew that Armand would be following in suit yet he did not know how fast his comrade was.
In truth, he preferred flying, a form of travel that was swift and allowed him to rest his form more easily, but unfortunately he had a unique jutsu style and greatly desired that it would not be discovered before the exams even began. Thus he ran, his feet pounding against the dirt, his gaze cutting through the fogs of the land, half forward....and half back, keeping an eye out for allies and enemies alike.

XXXXX Armand finally completed his run. He was now approaching the gates of the village. Already, people were fleeing their homes and trying to evacuate themselves. He held his hands outstretched. "Hold on now, hold on!" He called out. The crowd began to stir. "Calm yourselves! These are dark times, but all is not lost! It is never lost!" He was raising his voice now, doing his best to try and be inspirational. "The food is but dust!" This was shouted by an old woman. "Dust...?" He muttered. He raised his voice once more. "I swear to you that we are doing the best to find out why this is happening and how to stop this! Please, all that the Kiri shinobi ask of you is to remain calm, peaceful, and to have faith in us. We are working as fast as we can!" He called out once more. More stirs in the crowd, followed by intense shouting and booing. "I hope the others get here soon..." A large and burly man approached him. "Move." He ordered Armand. "Please, be at peace. We are trying out best to solve this dilemma." His reassuring words were met with a punch to the side of his head. It stunned him as he fell to the ground, spitting blood out of his mouth. He staggered up. "To hell with genjutsu..." Now the villagers were starting to agree with him. Why should one young boy trying to instill peace be beaten? They would approve of his next action. Armand drew back with all his might, and cracked his fist across the man's head, watching him fall to the ground. "Do you see what is happening? If we don't remain strong and together, there will be many who seek to cause unneeded violence! We must remain vigilant!" He was starting to see some villagers nod in agreement, turning back into the village. It was starting to work, but he doubted he could keep this up. He would let those who wanted to leave, leave...but he headed further into the village to quell the uprising.

((man, I leave for family for 3 days and end up sooo far behind *sigh* ))
Korumo kept pace behind his ally, his feet carrying him swiftly to the gates of Kirigakure. The white hooded shinobi would not follow Armand to the same crowd however, for the village was broad, and would not be settled by a single man. Instead the jounin made his way past the first of the crowds that would hear his brother's call, and found himself in a place where Armand's voice would not yet reach.
A woman rushed to carry a basket through the streets, running from the darkness that made it's way there even though she should have known she could not escape it. The woman fell to the hard stones that paved the many pathways through the village, the basket leaping from her grasp. As she hurried to collect her goods once more to continue running a hand stayed in front of her.
"Why do you hold her back?!" came the shouts of an angry man, roaring at the stranger. " Why do you stop her, do you wish for us to die!?" He spewed his words like daggers at the assassin.
"Because there is little to run from...." He answered, inspiring a confused look on the face of the man. Raising his voice to address those that would here he called out. "The shadows are vast but they are nothing to fear, and should not cause despair. It is through fear that we are lost, not darkness." Rouken called out. "It is no more than nightfall come early thus far. It has brought no suffering to me as I was within it's boundaries and I stand before you unaffected by it's shadows. You fear that which confuses you even when it has yet to give us reason to fear, and your foolish actions will lead you to destruction alone in chaos." He scolded those who ran as if they were children, seeming to inspire confidence that here was a man that they could trust to lead....inspired them to listen.
"But our food rots at it's approach!" Another roared back, a scowl crossing his features.
"Then I suppose you should find some fresh supplies." The assassin finished.

Kairi materialized from a burst of mist, standing alongside Armand as she appeared with a deep and concern look on her face. "My people! I know these are rough times...but the Ushio family has yet to fail you. We are sworn protectors of the Mist Village, we will find out what has happened here. However, the worst that can happen is for us to turn on each other. We have to remain together, we have to work together in order for us to prevail. Otherwise only chaos and death will ensue," Kairi explained. Both Armand and Korumo had made excellent points, and all Kairi was trying to do was to reiterate those points. "We are the people of the Hidden Mist, the mist has always been a part of our lives. That means that we are used to walking through a veil in our eyes, this darkness is nothing. Our food rots, yes...it tastes like dust, yet it still nourishes our bodies. That is what's important, that our bodies are still healthy. The vegetation is dying, then we eat it before it dies fully. We must keep strong, this will only be temporary and I swear to you in the name of Ushio I will get to the bottom of this and I will save you all!" Kairi assured them. She then proceeded to look at Armand and placed her hand on his shoulder. "Are you alright?"

A crackle of thunder echoed as Raiden appeared in a burst of bluish white lightning. He looked at the people who were looking at Kairi and Armand. Their attention fell upon him, some looking at him unsure who he was. Others shook as they slowly began backing him, fearing this man was here to strike them down. However, there were a few who remembered him. The kaguya who both helped save the village from perils before and defended and defeat the Uchiha known as Sengetsu. "As Kairi and Armand has said...." He said, looking at the young man making sure he recognized his face when Kairi spoke to him before. It was how he learned his name. "Darkness has fallen throughout the land and block out the sun. There is no need to panic! Remember who you are, you are the people of Kirigakure. You have faced worse, faced attacks on this village and survived! This is no different then the sun going down and night taking over." His voice thundered throughout the area. "Natural light and fires die out...food taste like dust. Food still hold its nutrients. It as our ancestors have taught us when we were kids, eat your vegis before dessert. Get past the taste, and you'll still find yourself full. Make use of what is alive, and make it last. Stretch out what you have, do not let greed consume you." He said, looking from one side to the next. He had no idea why he was saying this, but it fell upon him like it was natural.
"The Ushio family, Luo and Kairi and many more to come in the future. They uphold their word to you, that they will protect you to the best of their abilities until death itself takes hold. In turn, you should do the same. Stay together, help one another and they will help you. You are all brothers and sisters of the Mist, stay together to survive or you will crumble and die." He said. He had no intentions on holding back. They will get the truth of the matter, even if it scared them. "We are doing what we can to find out what has happened. We are going through the same thing you all are. In a family, we all have our part to play, our task to fulfill. Our duties to uphold. We are doing our part, but we cannot do it alone. Help us, by doing your part in keeping the village together and alive. It won't be easy by any means...but its that or death. And I know about the Mist, I use to be a part of the village. Of the mist seven. When I fought with Zane, we knew what we were getting into. But it didn't stop us, and we made it. Shinobi or not, the pride and joy of the Mist runs through your veins. Fight like the Mist is known for, fight for yourself and your brothers and sisters. Stead fast and out last this plague, and we all will be freed from the Night's spell. For the sake of yourselves, and the future of the Mist" He said aloud, an air of command about him. In the back of his mind, he didn't know what made him say what he said. But, he did. And it seemed to make a large impact. The chaos slowly fell quiet, people looking left and right nodding to the other. The three shinobi who stand before them, one of them which they didnt even know well unless they were around the time when Zane was Mizukage. Wasn't too long ago, but nevertheless.
Raiden crossed his arm and looked towards Kairi and Armand. She seemed to be tending to him. He looked off in the distance, he knew chaos was breaking loose elsewhere. For now, they have calmed the people. He walked by a pillar, leaning against it. He waited for Kairi and Armand to finish whatever it was they were doing. What was all of that anyways... He thought to himself. Sparks of lightning danced along his body briefly before fading away.
"They say lightning never strikes twice, our battle will be your last"
