While building the snow trolls, Nanogg nearly fell into a burrow -- and there was something at the bottom. Or, rather, SOMEONE. He grinned -- score! Literally.

He tossed down a rope and lifted them up, trying to figure out who they were... to see if he could figure out a favor that they could do for him later.

Favors... could he ask for them later? Was it fair?

Yes. Of course. Points aside, he was doing them a HUGE favor by saving them from death-by-freezing. This was not something that one should do for free. Never. Plus, they were all teens and grownups, they should have been able to handle this s**t.

Nanogg thought that was fair, but he wasn't sure he would be able to get a word in edgewise, or get a good view of their symbols. No one seemed interested in conversation, or in revealing much about themselves in the short time he was with them.

Shame. He could use more favors.

Another one rescued, another one off without a favor. Nanogg sighed as his lusus 'escorted' them away with a sharp stick. Well, this was worthless but maybe he could at least... win? this game?

It was a pretty dumb game, all told. He'd have tolerated it more if it was an initiative thing, but this was... not beneficial to him.

Whatever. Nanogg decided he'd at least learn some s**t about snow and tracking in the meantime. It had to be useful somewhere, right? He wasn't sure, but he guessed if he was travelling in Busthind he'd need this. But literally nowhere else, right?

He was wrong, but he wasn't aware of that yet.

He was nowhere near this next troll, that was for sure. Actually, he wasn't sure why no one had cheated hard in this avalanche thing. There were ways to cheat, right? Why not use your skills to survive? Wasn't that the point? Nanogg wondered if anyone had tried... so far, he'd heard nothing...

Oh! He was... getting close now, actually! He could tell by the disturbed snow and the tunnel ahead. He tossed down the rope and peered into the tunnel. "Hey, if ya're here... get yerself a rope, and get out." Would someone not want to? Nanogg guessed it was possible. Maybe. For a fool.

Ah! He heard them -- a sullen sound, calling out to him. It occurred to him that Mari might be one to not come out if she was comfortable and had shinies down there. Maybe if she liked her ice sculpture home too much... no, no way. It was so wrecked... and cold.

Well, they were a yellowblood - Nanogg was going to give them the benefit of the doubt. They sassed him about his coat, but he figured that was just... what outsiders did. So much color-based bs. Just enjoy whatever color you liked, right? He was teal, but he liked yellow. So... ******** wear it.

Kerras... wore a lot of colors.

Another troll was buried close by -- Nanogg could see their tunnel was collapsed, so he took out the shovel. The snow would make one hell of a snow troll, that was for sure. Still, he wasn't finding anything after a bit of digging... was there more snow piled on top of them?

Anyway, Kerras was pretty cool, more or less. The colors they were wearing... did they like lots of colors? How did they feel about the hemospectrum?

Nanogg had nothing against [fellow] tealbloods. As far as he could see, they were closest to his ideals -- in the middle, neither held down nor pushed up.

His next rescued troll was a tealblood -- imagine that? They thanked him. Cool.

Anyway, shame that the whole outsider royalist system was shitty and unfair. When Nanogg reworked the world, it would be the midbloods he would emulate. Everyone would be like a midblood, and would rise due to their skills...

As he mused on the nature of blood, Nanogg knew he was getting close to another troll. Which was neat -- this wasn't too difficult to get used to. Still, no favors collected. That was a shame.

He would try to find them later, maybe, around bloodfest. These silly trolls would probably be there.

Yes -- he was close... and so was his time. he was sure that he could get one last troll before his points were no longer countable. Just a little more -- maybe a little shoveling, maybe a little roping, maybe some snow trolls to spook the silly grown ups when they go out of their holes.
