Except getting a Persona is much harder, and none of them are really the summoning type, right?

Well, maybe Arcueid or Ciel, but...

@Malfrost: I'm thinking... Demon Clan, bound by an ancestor to serve the family, horribly mistreated in earlier generations and so they've got centuries of feelings they're not allowed to act out on... >D Not really done with making my ideas yet, but that's the direction I'm heading.
