He sqwaucked as the Dragoness ran into him, and instinctually threw himself backwards, his talons held ready to strike. He flared his crest in anger as she snapped at him, and he bit off a angry retort when she apologized, but he realized that he did owe them all a explaination, which would be hard.... he himself had no clue what had happened.

" Trrrrruthfully, I have no idea. I talked to Larrrrka, something drrrrew my attention.... then all I rrrremember isssss a burrrssst of light, pain... then darrrrknessss... Next thing I know, I wake up a few milessss away frrrrom you guyssss and I find that thissss-" He held up a forearm, the reddish lines pulsing and flowing slowly across the scales and feathers "- hassss happened to me. Thosssse linessss werrre white beforrrrrr... I have no idea what thissss meansss...."

He looked the Dragoness over, and noted a patch of her scales seemed cracked and discolored, like some sort of energy had hit her. He peered closely, careful to stay far enough away to not trigger a "Fight or Flight" reflex, and he snorted, then met her eyes.

"I found the sssssite of the ffffight, so I have some idea what occured... but what exactly happened, Kirisa? who hurt Kaishin, and hit you with Magik?"

Marco had left the den for awhile, finding a place where he'd be able to rest. The black and red wolf had gone farther into the forest, now sleeping in the shadow of an old oak. Reaper looked down at him from the branches of the tree, feeling sorry for his old friend, he was always depleted of energy. "Hopefully now he'll be able to more helpful to the others." He muttered with a sigh.

Kaishin groaned as the healing waters worked their magic. He closed hie eyes and thoughts began to fill his mind, memories of the day he became Alpha. It had been raining hard all day. Hunts had turned up little food and the demands of Alpha Raiden had not made things easier. The packs best hunter, Larka, had retreated into the dark recesses of her mind, distraught over the events of several moons past. The Alpha had ordered the extermination of his own pups, for reasons known only to himself. Kaishin had been on the hunting team and was not present at the time... If he had been, perhaps things might have turned out different.

Once Kai had learned what had happened, he could no longer take it. The Alpha had to made responsible for what had happened. Larka had been his friend for years, and even after learning that Kaishin could use human magicks, she still remained so. Using those unique magicks was what enabled Kaishin to defeat Raiden and cast out of the pack forever. He was presumed dead and kaishin was made the new Alpha male.

He opened one eye and looked at Larka. he had always liked her, but he knew that she was mated with someone else. All that he knew is that her mate was a feline, usually considered taboo in a pack, but Kaishin wasn't a typical Alpha either. He knew that he too would have to eventually find a mate, but the choices around the Den were slim. After Raiden had been defeated, a lot of the older wolves had left, unable to cope with the sudden and unexpected change. Larka was actually the oldest female in the Den and she was the same age as Kaishin. the only other females around were Kirias, the strange fox Todd and the anthro wolf Kaishin had brought back from the village.

The re-appearance of Raiden was also a major concern. He had gained a great deal of power, most likely from the same daemonic force that his partner was from. Kai felt a little better than before, but he would have to wait until morning before he would attempt to move. he looked back up at Larka, "How are you holding up?" he asked quietly.

Marco groaned and slowly opened his red and blue eyes, looking out at the forest from the shadow of the oak. Reaper clicked his beak and moved to a branch closer to the ground, eying his comrade. "Did you have a nice rest?" Marco stretched out his red furred front legs and dug his black claws into the ground. "I'm closer than I was before to my full strength." He yawned and continued stretching. "Though, if what you said about that battle is true, they may be angry with me." He sighed and shook his, taking in a deep breath of fresh air. Reaper clicked his beak amusingly. Marco frowned and sniffed the air, finding quite a few new scents. He stood and began walking wondering exactly what he would find. "Why haven't I noticed these before." He muttered and followed the closest scent, his paws moving silently on the ground.

Marco walked out from behind a tree and found himself looking down at a pup. He examined her with his red and blue eyes. "Hey pup, you alright?" He asked, a little curious as to what a pup, would be doing all on her own.
