Jounouchi seemed taken aback, "Wh-wha...? N-no, that's not it." he quickly said, "It was just..." he looked around, then lowered his voice, "...your other self... I think he was haunting me again or something... erm... I know I should've said something right away but... I wanted to wait until we could talk in private..." he seemed more alert now, as if the secretive conversation had woken him up.

".... Really?" The Egyptian responded, a little startled by the news. He looked sadly at the blond, before wrapping his arms around the other teen's waist. "I'm sorry... I thought he was gone because... you showed up... but really he is bothering you now... that's terrible..."

Jounouchi looked at Malik in surprise, standing there awkwardly, then looking around the store nervously, "I-it's okay... I mean, it's not like it could really be your fault. You can't control him..." he put his hands on Malik's shoulders and gently pushed him away, taking a step back, "It's fine, really. No big deal."

Jounouchi... pushed him away too... that wasn't comforting at all...
But... maybe it made Jounouchi uncomfortable...
And he didn't want that either.
".... Hun..." Malik stated cautiously, "...maybe you should sleep over at my house tonight? Then if he bothers one of us, we can protect each other..."
"...and you know... I won't do anything... I told you, I promise. We can even do that pinky swear thing, if you want." He suggested, sticking his pinky finger in the air reassuringly.

Jounouchi sighed, "Malik, I think this is more serious than that... we might need... Yuugi's help. He has experience with this supernatural kind of stuff..." he glanced around the room, making sure nobody was paying attention or near enough to notice anything, then quietly removed Yuugi's scarf. Around his neck was a dark ring, a circular bruise that surrounded the whole of the flesh. "Last night... it wasn't just a weird dream... I really think he tried to kill me..." he stared at Malik seriously, "An invisible rope had found its way around my neck and was lifting me into the air. I would've suffocated had I not found the upper part of the rope and pulled myself up to it with my arms... then the rope just vanished and I fell to the floor... But the point is, this is serious. He really is trying to kill us. We need more help than just each other."

He wanted Rishid dead also.... maybe he...
Malik quickly abandoned the thought, it was too terrifying to even think of. His dark always wanted to get rid of the few people who made him happy, didn't he? It didn't make any sense...
The Egyptian traced the circle on Jounouchi's neck with two of his fingers, lavender eyes wide and fearful. He let out a sigh as well. "... I don't know how I feel about asking Yuugi.. I mean... he's already helped me too much... I couldn't ask for anything else... "

Jounouchi smiled reassuringly, wrapping the scarf back around his neck, "Malik, Yuugi doesn't mind... he lives for helping people. God knows how much I owe him, probably more than you do. But... he would never be able to live with himself if there was someone he could've helped and he didn't... that's just how Yuugi is. Besides, he wouldn't just be helping you; he'd be helping me too. He can just add what we owe him on his tab." he winked.
