~Anger's Spell~(1x1)(Awesomely Filled)~

Shelby held the chain, following as he left and passed him up in the hall, leading him now to the room with the very large bath. She refused to touch him. Even before she had changed him, she had avoided him, afraid that he would hurt her like he hurt her mother. Once they were in the bath room she headed to the corner, waiting for her father to get into the tub.

Jyrek followed after her, past the point of feeling degraded. His once strong pride had been ground into dust, replaced by a numb sort of sorrow. He watched her head into the corner, shaking his head with a soft sigh as he slipped into the large tub. It was more like a bowl-shaped hole in the ground, but it suited well enough. No more than a monster deserved..Jyrek kept his neck up for the moment, since she always took his collar off for a few moments when she was certain he was not a threat. Mainly when she was across the room, and ready to use magick at a second's notice. Jyrek's eyes were looking to Shelby intently, drinking in the sight of his daughter..his beautiful, cold daughter..

Mikra had just begun the conditioner when the door opened, revealing a smiling Lira. "I heard Shelby found a dog..and aww, he's adorable!" Kraelyn cringed at that, watching as she came forward and placed a hand in the soapy water, scratching his head a bit, "What a cutie," she cooed.

Shelby magickally took of her father's collar and brought it over to her before making the water turn on and adding soap to the water. A brush went and she made it start to scrub him down, cleaning him off from a week in the dungeon.

(I kept meaning to say, YAY! YOU'RE ALIVE! But then I forgot. T__T> o_O why the sneaky?)

Jyrek was relieved when the collar came off. Around his neck, various tufts of fur were missing where the collar had chafed him. The spots were an angry red, matted blood mingled on the spots and the fur around them, clearly tender, painful spots since the collar was constantly against them and rubbing at them. He allowed himself to lower in the water a bit, the water soothing to the areas and to him in general. Jyrek allowed the brush to do it's work after completely submerging and coming back up, squinting the water away since he was unable to really wipe at his eyes.

Shelby frowned seeing the blood around his neck. She couldn't help it, he WAS her father after all. She made the brush be extra careful around his wounds, however her expression didn't really change as she played with the chain a bit.

(o-o *steals your homework and burns it* Dieeee, evil distraction!)

Jyrek noted her frown but didn't comment or try to bring attention to it. She would keep her expression carefully blank or angry, he was sure, if he gave her the slightest inclination to how much even her frown meant to him. The brush was careful about his wounds and his gaze dropped to the water, his tail flicking back and forth. Water was always an odd thing these days..a comfort and a pain..not surprisingly, he'd considered just sinking into the water and letting the wetness take him. But he had never been a weak man, and being a beast only meant that he should be stronger. He would live on..and find a way to earn back his daughter's love..and his wife's too, if he only knew where she'd gone..

Shelby finished washing him and drained the water with magick before rinsing her father off with clean water. She then waited for him to get out of the tub so that she could dry him off . . . and trusting that he would do all his shaking BEFORE getting out.

(o-o b..b..but..high school interrupts beautiful roleplay time! T___T)

Jyrek felt the water drain and almost missed it, glancing to her and then shaking out his body as water flicked against the tub. Another mistake he'd made had been doing it near her..she hadn't liked getting wet..When that was done, he stepped out of the tub and stepped a bit closer to her, five or so feet away as he lowered himself to the ground with his stomach not quite touching so that his daughter could dry him off, but knew that he was respecting her desire not to get too close to him. Jyrek thought it was somewhat silly she muzzled him, after all, biting was hardly the only way in which he could hurt her...the clawed paws would almost be more effective and more easily maneuvered anyway, but he wuld never hurt Shelby so it didn't matter.

Kraelyn had finished with his bath and was being dried off by Mikra as Lira chatted away. Despite himself, he found he liked the girl..there was something innocent, and truly kind about her. And yet, he was certain she wasn't as ditzy as she seemed..He sniffed suddenly..catching an unfamiliar scent as his brow furrowed.

Shelby stiffened slightly as he came close to her, he had almost gotten too close for her comfort level. She magicked a few towels over and then threw them at him, rubbing him dry with them, although made sure that they didn't rub too hard around his neck. As the towels were doing that, she played with the collar, vaugely wondering if she should make it a bit looser so that it didn't give him such wounds. But, she decided against it, thinking that he'd slip out and come after her. And that was the last thing she wanted.

Jyrek flinched somewhat as she stiffened. Was she truly so afraid of him? He allowed the towels to rub at him, grateful that she seemed to be avoiding pressing hard on his neck. When they'd finished, he lifted back onto four legs and took a little step back, knowing that his height in relation to her had a play in how close he was allowed to be. Raising up meant he had to move back. Jyrek watched her in silence, his currently red eyes saddened and a bit longing as he looked to the daughter he loved so much..

Shelby just glared at him in response and magicked the collar back onto him. The, taking the chain in hand she led him back to his, now cleaned, cell. From there she chained him to the wall once again and then backed up to her usual corner, being sure not to touch her father. She wouldn't show him any affection since he hadn't shown her any before she had changed him. She looked at her father and then at the ground. "I'll be back tonight. I have other things to take care of at the moment." she said and then exited the cell, closing and locking the door behind her and heading up to see if Kraelyn's bath was finished.

Jyrek cringed as the collar was set back on his wounds..why did it have to be so damnably tight? Or why wouldn't she even just heal the wounds..was that too much to ask? Perhaps, in her mind..As he was led back and chained again, he watched her speak and was relieved that she would be back. And then she left..forgetting apparently that she'd kept him muzzled..or maybe she knew, perhaps she didn't care. Glumly, he took his usual spot on the ground, head resting by his paws.

Kraelyn spotted the culprit of the smell and instant before the maid who'd had him originally screamed. There was a Karuyan snake slithering acros the ground. Unlike most animals, they thrived in the winter and were a light blue color with icy, white veins running through them. Their venom was deadly and literally froze the victim's veins until their heart simply stopped beating..it was a terrible way to die. A bite, if not treated immediately, was almost always fatal.

It was between the maids and the door, and the closest to Lira. The snake reared it's head back and forth, watching them. It didn't seem to care how unusual it was for such a snake to be in these areas..or in a house for that matter. Instead, it eyed Lira, who was trembling now as she stood back against a wall. Jumping and running might tempt it to strike, but standing still..

The maids had backed up and left Kraelyn on the ground and he watched the snake coming closer to Lira..and he knew somehow what it intended. "Hey, go away!" And to his surprise, the snake seemed to hear him and understand..animal lingo perhaps? But then it came forward more as Lira attempted to edge away..and then he raised his head, "Watch this, puppy."

Kraelyn blinked in surprise as the snake rose and then darted forward, fangs at the ready. Without thought, he charged forward and seemed to be watching in slow-motion as the snake came at her, intending to sink it's fangs into her leg. Lira screamed loudly..and felt nothing. Glancing down, her eyes widened in horror as the snake sank it's fangs into the dog's right wrist.

Kraelyn let out a shrill bark of pain as a chill instantly settled over him..the snake had gotten enough venom to kill Lira..and as small as he presently was, it would be far shorter for him to die. But he wasn't about to let it strike again and with a snarl, he bit down on the snake, whitish blood exploding in his mouth, causing him to gag as he stood unsteadily, and then fell to his stomach, eyes closing as he cringed in pain.

Lira looked down and then to the other maids, all seemed equally surprised and horrified, too stunned to move for a moment.

Shelby heard Lira's scream and her head shot up towards the sound. "Lira!" what had happened?! If Kraelyn had attacked her favorite maid . . . She burst into the washroom and screamed slightly at the sight of the dead snake and a bitten puppy-Kraelyn near Lira. She went over to Kraelyn, picking up his wrist where she saw the offending bite and placed her hand over it, trying to draw out the poison with her magick . . . this was going to be painful for both her and the dog . . . "What happened?!" she ordered of her maids, needing to know exactly how long Kraelyn had been lying there with the venom in his veins . . . he had been her responsibility, and by the Gods, she was going to do everything in her power to keep him from dying! She wasn't a killer after all . . .

Kraelyn opened a sluggish eye a slit, catching a fuzzy image of Shelby but hearing her voice more than anything. He mumbled something incoherent but it came out as a growl anyway since the other had tuned him out, so it didn't matter. The eyes shut again and he lay still, only to vaguely feel his now numb paw being lifted.

All the maids had jumped at Shelby's entrance, and it was Lira who spoke with tears in her eyes. "T-the Karuyan was in here somehow..we didn't k-know..and then it went in the doorway, we couldn't get out..and," she swallowed hard with a sniff, "The snake was going to bite me..and the dog jumped in front of me and took the bite for me instead..he saved me..and now he's going to die because of me." She burst into tears and covered her face with her hands and both maids went over to her, each wrapping an arm around her.

"Not if I can help it . . ." Shelby muttered determinedly, and using her magick, pulled against Kraelyn's bloodflow, her mind becoming strained slightly. It was not her way to go against something's natural course. When she normally healed wounds, she sped up the healing process . . . but to save Kraelyn, she would have to pull against his bloodstream, the venom moving with it. It was harder since he was so small and the venom had spread faster. She realized if she had any real chance to save him, she would have to change him back, looking over at the maids briefly, she ordered through gritted teeth, "Tell no one of what you're about to see . . ." and then changed Kraelyn into his human form, finding that the venom was now coming out much easier since there was now more of a length to travel before it hit the man's heart. It was a struggle between's Shelby's will and Kraelyn's bloodflow. If the venom reached Kraelyn heart . . . it would be all over . . .
