Saiya had looked around nervously while he was gone, gripping the torch in a death grip. Shrugging she put the torch to the firewood to start the fire. Once it was going she handed the torch back to him and pulled the cloak off, passing it back as well. She was nervous and jumpy in this odd environment.

Sticking the torch flame first into the ground to put out the fire Kai moved around to the pack and starting pulling out what they'd need for the night. "You know there's really nothing to worry about out here." he offered, noticing how jumpy she seemed.

Saiya sat down, still clutching her flashlight like a safety blanket. "Grandmother's stories still scare me." She commented with a smile at him. "It's hard not to be kinda jumpy. This is all so different to me, I've never been outside the city walls."

"I guess it can seem a little intimidating... But if you take the time to get to know it, the forest isn't so bad." Kai said, moving around the fire to lay a blanket he'd pulled from the pack across her shoulders. "Besides I'm here." he pointed out with a smile. "And no one knows this forest better then I do... Well except maybe the trees." Kai joked.

Saiya laughed and shook her head. "I know, still just kinda out of my element." She admitted as she slid out of her trench under the blanket and pulled her sketchbook and pencils from her messenger bag.

"Well I can understand that." Kai admitted, moving back around to where he'd laid the pack down. "You should see me try and hail a cab." he offered, setting stuff aside to cook with. "Its like watching a train wreck."

Saiya laughed at the mental picture that gave her. "Cabs are overrated." She informed him. "The rooftops are faster." She had started drawing so she didn't look up at him. "What an odd pair we are ne?"

"I don't know. If you lose that city grit, who knows." Kai teased as he placed a pan over the fire. Unwrapping some of the rations, he dropped them into the pan and sat back to wait. Stretching Kai laid back and rested his head on his bunched up cloak, and just gazed up at the ceiling. He still wasn't entirely sure if he could trust this human yet. But so far he'd gotten a feeling that she might be alright enough to point her to the people she needed to talk to if she wanted to information spread through the Supernatural grapevine like wildfire.

Saiya finished her sketch and held it back from herself so she could see in better. Satisfied she turned it to him. "Does that look right?" She wasn't sure she got the pattern just right and since he was more familure with them she wanted his opinion.

"That's really good." Kai complimented, turning onto his side to look at Saiya's drawing over the fire. "And you only got to see it for a little bit... I'm impressed." he added, smiling at her.

Saiya blushed lightly and shrugged. "Photographic memory." She offered with a yawn as she set aside her sketchbook and pencils. She shifted so that she was using her messenger bag as a pillow and lay down on her side. "Thank you for helping me. I'm pretty sure I'd have been lost in seconds without you."

"That's my job." Kai replied, sitting up to stir the contents of the pan. "Guiding lost little humans through the big bad woods. Just watch out for the big bad wolf." he teased.

Saiya blinked at him. "Wolf?" She sighed and rolled her eyes. "Of course we are in the woods after all." She said more to herself than him. She watched him stirring what ever was in the pan and felt herself starting to drift off. "I'd kill for a vanilla latte." She mumbled sleepily as she closed her eyes.

"I'm afraid you won't find many of those out here." he stated, taking the pan of the fire. "Now come on and eat something before you fall asleep. Wouldn't want you waking up to a growling stomach."

Asha groaned as she forced herself to rub her eyes and sit up with a sigh. "I'd rather just sleep really." She mumbled, only half awake.
