Vaul Moon
Vaul was left in a bit of a daze. Blinking slowly he caught sight of Marie and reached up grabbing a hold of her shoulder. A few stray thoughts wandered about his mind and he felt alright for the most part. "I can move backs just a bit sore" he said in a soft voice, but it was easy to tell that he was in some pain. He grasp her shoulder tightly and brought her down. He wrapped his arms around her body and hugged her tight for this moment. It was only to help his dizziness. He stayed like this for a few minuets before finally let go of her. It was not too long after this that he sat him self up and pressed his back to the stone he hit. "Sorry about felt dizzy and you where the most stable thing around" he said in a soft voice. He needed some rest but she still seemed to be in a panicked state.

Marie Marie heard him talk and relief swept over her, at least he was concious. She felt his hand on her shoulder and then felt herself being pulled down. When he wrapped his arms around her she stayed perfectly still. She was a bit confused at first until he let go and and explained. She nodded her head somberly. "Well feel free to hang onto me whenever you need to." She tried smiling but it wasn't happening. Her lips stayed in a grim set. She was annoyed with herself because she had felt happy when he had hugged onto her and right now wasn't the best time to think something like that. She shook her head. "We need to see if you have any injuries and we might have to stay here for the night to make sure you are okay." Marie wasn't sure if her words were making sense but she was trying to calm herself down. Thoughts kept racing through her mind however. What if he had died? You should have known better. You should have moved faster. She was silently screaming at herself. She spun and grabbed the food and water out of her bag and handed them to him. "Drink the water." She said realizing it would help him.

Vaul Moon
"I will keep that in mind" Vaul said in the same calm voice he used earlier on. He pressed his back to the rock and let out a soft sigh at this moment and he was sore in a few places but could move on without much trouble. As well did not seem like anything was going his way aside from having Marie around. Crossing his legs he heard her statement but they could not stay here for the night. It would best for them to move out and head to this town as fast as they could. "My body is fine although a little rattled. I need only a few moments rest before we continue" he said. A stray thought or two wandered about his mind and he knew that she was not in the best state her self. It was obvious enough to him that stress was getting to her as well. Grabbing the food and drink he took of his mask and she had already seen his face once before so there was little he could do about this. As well they seemed a little past the friendly stage in his opinion. Taking a few bites of the food he shifted his gaze back to her. "How are you holding up" he asked in a curious tone. Extending his hand out he held the water skin in front of her to take.

Marie "Alright, well when we start walking again I want you to put most of her body weight on me, I will basically carry you so you don't get hurt again." She ran her fingers through her hair closing her eyes for a moment, she tried to envision the path, the curves and details of it. Some of the memories were a bit fuzzy but there should be river somewhere, that was how they would know when they got close. When she opened her eyes she noticed he had taken off his mask. "I thought you..." She trailed off confused, looking at the mask then at him. She shook her head, realizing he had asked her a question and took the water he was holding out to take a sip from it. "I'm wishing I was a bit faster so I could of prevented this, and relieved that you're alright." She anwsered him putting the water down between them. She moved so she was sitting crosslegged next to him.

Vaul Moon
Vaul sighed a little at her statement and he would be fine and he was not sure how to make her understand this. "I think it would be best if you just stayed close. I am heavier then I look" he said. She was running her fingers through her hair and he wandered if would be possible for him to convince her to let him walk under his own power. "You have seen my face already and its a bit late to hid it from you. This is simply easier then having you turn around" he said in a calm tone. He was not going to lie to him self, he had developed a slight fondness for Marie but he would not say anything about that matter. Reaching out he took the water from her and took another sip before resting it in the same position. "What is done is done and there is nothing we can do to change. Although we can defiantly prevent this from happening again" he said as he looked over at her for a moment.

Marie Marie looked over at him, she had a feeling he wasn't going to give in and let her carry him, so sighing she decided to relent in this matter. "Okay, I'll stay close, but promise me that if you start to feel weak or like falling you'll let me take your weight. I can handle it, I'm strong." She heard his next words and a small smile found it's way to her mouth, she felt very happy that she had this privledge of seeing him without his mask. Thinking she realized that Vaul's company was something she enjoyed much more then that of others, and this thought brought a slight blush to her cheeks. "By walking closer together?" She asked when he mentioned preventing it from happening again.

Vaul Moon
"That works for me" Vaul said. He was glad she would let him walk under his power and that he would not b stripped of that so early. He took a few more bites of the food that she had brought with her and he was filling up slowly. Although he would use this time to take a break from there walking and spell casting always drained him. "If you don't mind" he said as he kept his gaze fixed to her. "If nothing we will just link arms for the time being" he added. Sure it meant they would have to take things a little slower but it should help with his balance among other things. A few stray thoughts crossed his mind as he waited for her reply.

Marie Marie nodded and took another sip of water thinking again. She felt like she was forgetting something but couldn't place her finger on what she was forgetting which was always a bit frustrating, but she quickly shook it off, she would remmeber when she needed to. "I wouldn't mind at all." She said looking back at him and smiled. she stopped for a moment though and thought on what she had said, did it sound eager? She hadn't meant for it to sound like that. "I mean, that sounds like a good idea." She rephrased her words shaking her head a bit. "Just let me know when you feel ready to go." She added a moment later.

Vaul Moon
A nod came from him when she agreed to link arms as they traveled and he would not mind. As well there was a sense of eagerness in her voice and he began to wander what she truly thought of him. Although he did not bother to pursue the matter at this moment. "Its fine and I am glad you agree" he said not trying to let out any of his excitement when it came to that matter. The thought had crossed his mind many times now and he could not help but feel a fondness for her although he was unsure where it was fonded. But then such thing where illogical after all. "I will" he said. He turned his attention back to the food an water and ate a bit more before putting down. He gave him self fifteen minuets to rest before standing to his feet. "I am ready to leave when you are" he said as he made his way towards her.

Marie Marie glanced over at him when he said he was ready and jumped up in such a hurry she stumbled over her feet and landed right back on the ground. A laugh broke through her lips at her own clumisness, she stood up again wiping the dirt off, still laughing a bit. "Well then we should get going." She grinned holding her arm out to him. This time however she watched closely as they went up the hill looking for rocks and twists. When they got to the top, she saw two paths. For a second she was confused, had there been two paths before? She closed her eyes and tried to remember, her instincts were telling her to go to the right but her memory was telling her to go left. She had never been one to ignore her instincts so she nodded toward the right path. "That should lead us right to the river." She said almost confidently.

Vaul Moon
Vaul watched as she tripped out of clumsiness and chuckled a little. He did take a moment to secure he mask into position before linking his arm around hers. A nod came from him before they where underway and things seemed to be going well. He had not fallen and the area was clean enough but they came to a fork in the road soon enough. He just looked over at her shrugged slightly at this moment. But he felt she would lead them the right way and he just followed along side her. "Hopefully it dose" he said. Although he could not hear the sound of running water anywhere near them but he would just follow her lead. "In the off chance this dose not lead us to a river where do we go from there" he asked in a curious tone. He was not doubting her abilities just asking about a possibility.

Marie Marei bit her lip furiously again as she thought about what Vaul had just said. "I suppose we would have to come back and take the other path, I just don't understand, I don't quite remember there being two trails." She shook her head. "I'm sorry Vaul, I should of thought of how the path could have changed with time." She hoped that this trail was the right one, she didn't want to let him down and time was still of the essense. She headed off down the right trail looking around her for something familiar or even the river, so far nothing struck her.

Vaul Moon
Vaul listened to her statement and pondered a few thoughts. He nodded slightly at her next statement. "We will continue down this path and if we do not encounter anything soon we will head back and try the other if nothing" he said in a calm tone. He followed behind Marie and scanned the area over a few times, it seemed unlikely that they where heading in the right direction. "As well you have nothing to be sorry for" he added. He knew that she was somewhat up set for leading them astray but he would not hold anything against her. He watched her rush on ahead and he still walked at his normal pace before catching up to her. "Any luck" he asked in a curious tone.

Marie Marie shook her head "No nothing looks familar at-" She paused, she had heard a growl. Turning her head to the sound she saw a large animal approaching them. They must have stepped onto it's territory. It looked like a cross between a bear and wolf which unfortunatly told her that the village was at least within a few miles since they were known for crossbreeding. "Vaul, take three steps backwards very slowly." She said without moving her lips too much. She then muttered a few words to try and communicate with it. Before she could say anything she heard what the animal was saying while it growled. "Dinner." She let a swear and backed up a bit. Pulling her blade.

Vaul Moon
Vaul nodded slightly at her statement. Scanning the area his gaze came to rest on a large creature and he was not too sure what to make of it. Following her instructions he moved three steps back and began to mumbled a few words. It would only take him a few moments to cast a spell of sorts on the creature and he hoped it would be useful. A brown colored light filled his hand and took the shape of a flat disc. It was not long after this that he pressed it into the ground. The earth its self moved up to shackle the creature in place although he was unsure of how long it would be able to hold such a beast. As well it would not last forever. He began to cast another spell but he needed some time to prepare it.
