((Sorry it's been so long. I had massive writer's block...))

Bi-Bi frowned placidly at the cuts, ignoring his glare.
"Well.. they're not especially deep right? I mean, Kio's nails aren't as long as mine," she tried to assure, moving a hand away from his face. With a small twitch, her fingers grew three inches longer, forming curved points.

Eva's stare was more of confusion than it was fear, but the sounds around her were beginning to come back to her, and her mind could only process very little:
There had been a fight between Kio and a wolf.
Something had hit her shoulder.
The fight was still going on.

A defeated expression began to etch its way into her features. She had enourmous strength, lethal electricution gum, and a loud voice, and yet she still couldn't protect anyone. Instead, she became just like the people her heart strived to protect. Helpless and useless.
A few tears began to form inside of her eyes; a mix of frustration and disappointment fogging her mind, when she felt hands picking her up. Needless to say, the movement of her body sent spasms of totrure throughout her back, and she couldn't help but give a shreik through gritted teeth and closed eyes. Her hands clawed into the shirt of her transporter, trying not to continue the noises she dubbed as 'weak'.
'I can take it, I can take it, I can take it,' her mind chanted adamantly. She may have been too useless to aid anyone, but she refused to be pathetic enough to put her agon on display. She'd overcome that a long time ago in Omega.
But as much as she wanted to thank the person helping her, each shift in footstep quickly gave her something more painful to worry about.

Kio engulfed air as he was thrown, thanking the gods for the wires that caught him. Sliding to the floor, he gasped for air, trying to fill his lungs with as much oxygen as they lacked. Once the job was done, he sat against the wall, completely still. Closing his eyes, he breathed slowly, calming his heart rate. It was an odd thing he'd learned to do back while in medical school - or perhaps his experiences in Omega had made him learn this trick- but the more calm he became, the slower his heart rate became. The longer it took for his heart to pump his blood, the less he would lose in his injuries. As soon as he could count 32 bpm's, he opened his eyes and stood. He glanced towards the wolf in Brad's arms. It would have to wait.
He watched carefully as Jack slipped into a room down the hall carrying Eva. He guessed it would be wise to follow him. There could be medical supplies to heal his injuries.

((LOL Kio's such a selfish d*ck...))

((No problem. s**t happens. I've been having writer's block for a role play going on in here. Mostly because the author is letting it slowly die, but I had my share of problems too.))

"NO!" Gabriel barked immediately, and defensively.
Busted.
GUT HIM. GUT HIM NOW. Then, then, the secret will be our's again. GUT HIM.
Tell him. Get some ******** help already and tell him!
"Why would you think that?" Gabriel asked with a frustrated growl, the frustration coming from the fact that they would not shut up. For once in her life she truly needed silence, and they were screaming their heads off. And now, she was busted and she needed full concentration to escape and they wouldn't allow it.

At the second wall smash, the wolf let out a pained yipe as it felt and heard a few of its bones begin to break. Whether they were fractures or full breaks couldn't be determined, but it was beginning to hurt. And because of the pain it felt, it began to whine like the injured dog it was.

Jack frowned deeply as he looked down at Eva, seeing the pain she was feeling because he was touching her. He could only imagine what it was like, but he couldn't imagine leaving her on the floor. If he was going to treat her, he'd have to keep her close in case something went wrong. He had to move her to the medical room so she had the best chance of survival.
"Eva, it's okay." He whispered to her just as she began clawing at his chest. Thank God she's not a cat. He thought, but her attacks still brought a bit of pain. It woulda been worse if he was holding Bi-Bi though. A LOT worse...
After getting inside the room, Jack laid Eva down on a large, clean metal table in the very center of the room. "Easy, Eva.. Take it easy." He sighed to her, hoping the coldness of the table would help her. It helped him. Just having something unbelievably cold touching him distracted him from the actual pain. "Just hold on. I'm gonna fix you up." He said, trying to sound reassuring as he began to search through cabinets madly for anything that could help her.

Zahzi was suddenly right in her face.
"The fact that you're denying it like this just proves it."

Brad stared at the creature after the whine and stared at it.
"Well? You done yet?"

((Omg. I feel like such a nerd. I got seriously excited after looking up medical procedures. I wanna be a doctor so baaad!!))

A sharp inhale erupted from Eva's mouth as she was laid on a cold table. As happy as she was for its chill, the pressure on her back was worse than when she was being held. With a soft scream, she managed to push herself onto her side, then let gravity drop the front of her body onto the table. Breathing heavily from the effort, her ears finally caught on to the murmured voice of the person trying to help her.
Jack.
Even with her wound and the corresponding pain, her heartbeat sped. He had..carried her...and...now he was.....
Unfortunately, with her increase in heartbeat, so did her blood loss. As the room began to dim, she suddenly became very aware of her predicament. Salt water rolled from her eyes as a cheery smile graced her mouth. It didn't matter if Jack could see it or not. But she had to finish her earlier phrase.
"Thank you Jack.." she choked softly.

Stumbling into the room, Kio glared at the two people already in there as if he hadn't followed. Pushing past a bustling shark boy, he gave a glance at Eva, then to the boy trying to help her. A disoriented eyebrow rose at the boy's frantic search. He moved his eyes back to the girl he'd shot. She wasn't his problem.
"Good bye Eva," he told her bluntly. There was no way she was going to survive with Jack's lack of medical skills, even though her wound was only slightly mild.
Staggering over to a cabinet, he began to treat himself with a shot of steroids and antibiotics, then began dressing his shoulder bite. When he was done, he found a chair in the corner of the room and collapsed onto it, resting as if there weren't a dying girl on the table in front of him.

((Heh, it's fine. Someone in this group needs to understand medicine. I certainly can't *is a total medical reality law breaker*))

Gabriel could only pathetically whimper as Zahzi had zoomed in on her face, causing a deep blush spread all over. She opened her mouth to give an argument, but only small noises similar to squeaking mice came out. Embarrassed further, she shut her mouth tightly closed.

The wolf only gave another whine.

Raphael just stared down at Bi-Bi's claws, not sure what to say.
"...The hell..?" He finally managed to mutter, not knowing his expression looked like he was staring down like two psychic porn star midgets giving him a 'free sample'. Something that one could only respond with 'What the Hell'.

"Don't thank me yet." Jack growled as he continued to dig, almost not noticing Kio. "I haven't saved you yet." He grunted, before he sensed someone else was in the room. Immediately, he turned and saw Kio, immediately glaring at him.
"Hey ya fox b*****d." He growled. "You wanna clean up your ******** mess that you did to Eva rather than just sitting there being completely and utterly useless?"

((Kio, you're a d**k... Just gonna say that now.))
PostPosted: Sat Oct 02, 2010 9:58 pm
Zahzi gave a closed-eyed smile, patting her on the head.
"There there. You don't have a need to lie to me." he said with a chuckle.

"Because, you see...I'm in the same boat..."

Brad gave a grunt, placing the Beast on the ground, but kept an eye on it...

((I KNOW RIGHT?! I think I love him partly because he's a d**k...))

Bi-Bi gave a small chuckle as Raphael gave her an estranged look.
"See? Now you're not focused on your pain anymore!" she chirped, seeing her work was done. She glanced at the door. Brad hadn't come back yet. Maybe....
She shook her head. Brad was okay. He had to be...

Kio's eyes opened lazily, staring at the fuming sharkboy. Crossing his arms, his head tilted to one side.
"Do you really wanna know my answer?" he questioned back pompously, "Or are you gonna aske me nicely?"

Eva's eyes blinked heavily, watching her vision blur and clear at random intervals. She almost couldn't even feel her wound anymore, but her eyebrows furrowed sadly in the anger she could feel in the slurs of voice around the room. Other than Jack's, she could just barely recognize a familiar fox voice.
"K-Keo...?" her mouth slurred.

Kio snorted at the auroch's attempt at his name, though he felt a bit strange with the fact that the one person he feared most was now in need of his help. But he wasn't about to get sued or blamed if she died. Consent was the first rule in medical school, and like any rule, Kio followed it to a T. Unless asked by the patient -who must be competent-, he wasn't allowed to do anything by law. Unless of course he went by the Good Samaritan law. But he sure as hell wasn't a Good Samaritan. And Eva herself was no where near competent if she couldn't even pronounce his name. Thus, Jack was her only way to ask for help. And he certainly wasn't helping her case. For all he cared, he could watch Eva die. And yet, he seemed to glare at the sharkboy intently, almost demanding that he ask for help.

((Eh, Kio has his moments...))
PostPosted: Sat Oct 02, 2010 10:24 pm
"But... I'm... I'm not hearing voices..." Gabriel whimpered quietly, her voice barely even audible.

The wolf then slowly laid down on the floor, glaring daggers into Brad. It didn't want to go, but his eyes would not leave it. It was stuck in this position. It'd either have to play a waiting game, or give in.
Waiting sounded better.

"...You are a strange one..." Raphael grunted, turning back to the fridge, lightly rubbing his face at the stinging pain.

"Ask you nicely?! Be ******** counting your lucky stars I'm not biting out your throat!" Jack barked, slamming a cabinet door closed hard enough to rattle all the cabinets and their contents in the room.
"NOW HELP HER KIO! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, HELP HER!" He yelled, pointing down directly to Eva's wound as he lips pulled back in a snarl, the corners of his mouth twitching as he wanted to ever so badly get a taste of Kio's blood.

"How about I start?" Zahzi asked, raising an eyebrow.
"I hear them too..."

Brad merely crossed his arms and sat down next to the Beast, waiting patiently.

Gabriel only remained silent, not even sure how she could respond to anything Zahzi would say. A response would suggest that they do share a problem, and that she really does hear, and sometimes see, people no one else can. But she had to keep them a secret. Secrecy was.. wrong in a way, since it was almost like lying, but if she admitted her problem, God only knew what would happen to her. And she didn't feel like finding out.

The wolf gave a low growl as Brad sat near it, and quickly stood up and moved a few feet away.

Brad remained where he was. Had the Beast attempted to flee, his reach was still great enough to catch it..

Jack's anger didn't so much as make Kio blink. Instead, he tilted his head to the side, stretching his neck in annoyance. He glanced at Eva before giving a sigh.
He had been asked. He was now under oath to his medical school's procedures and regulations.
Standing, a professional gleam came across his eyes. He was no longer Kio. He was now "Mr. Westfield" as his teacher called him.
Striding over to the cabinets, he quickly found the gloves and slipped them on.
"Eva, can you hear me?" he called out from the cabinet. When he recieved no reply, he took that as a sign of unconsciousness and skipped over the sedatives. Grabbing the initial supplies, he dumped them onto a nearby table, then strode over to the patient.
"Female, bullet wound to right shoulder, possibly stuck in the space between scapula and clavicle," he spoke aloud to himself. Without reprieve, he wisked away the girl's hair, and pulled her shirt down to her stomach.
"Restrain yourself," Kio commented condescendingly towards Jack before grabbing a syringe.
"Methylprednisolone shot for inflammation," he stated, injecting the steroid without a problem. He then grabbed a torturous looking instrument attached to a long tube. Placing one hand just underneath the wound, he took a brief inhale.
"You might want to hold her," he stated before jamming the endoscope into Eva's skin.

Almost immediately Eva's body jolted from the pain, her mouth gasping for air.

With a swift elbow, Kio pushed her back down and continued digging for the foreign object in her body, cauterizing any veins that may get in his way. Perhaps this was why he loved working with endoscopes. Not only were they efficient, but they cleaned up the mess along the way.
Kio's eye twitched as the patient's screams became too loud to handle. Grunting, he jammed his free elbow into her clavicle, pinching a nerve to shut off oxygen to the brain temporarily.

Within seconds, Eva's body became motionless, collapsing onto the table.

Not a few seconds later, Kio removed the endoscope, staring at the bullet within its grasp. He spun to replace the device in his hand with gauze and bandages. Turning back around, he found the patient awake again, but this time, she was sobbing uncontrollably. He took a step forward.

Eva's eyes widened. "Don't come near me! Leave me alone!" she screamed, holding a trembling hand out.

"You've already lost a significant amount of blood. And since I don't know where Brad and Zahzi keep their blood, if they do, you aren't applicable for a transfusion. If you aren't bandaged, Mrs. Eva, you'll die of blood loss."

Eva's arm fell limp, though her mouth continued to hyperventilate. It was like she was back in Omega....If she were back in Omega....
"I'd rather die," her mouth whispered.

Kio snorted. That was all he could do. It was a bit ironic that the most painless part of the procedure was being denied.
"Then I suppose there's nothing else I can do ma'am." Setting the supplies on the table, he headed back to the chair to rest, becoming Kio once more. He stared at Jack intently.
"Is that enough for you?"

((My gawd, Kio's totally going to hell. Oh and you might want to patch up Eva, Jack. After that, I don't think even Hitler would trust Kio...))

Gabriel could only blankly stare back at Zahzi, trying to think of an answer to give. As if having no answer for the boy was bad enough, but they decided to show up.

Adrianna was sitting on the bed, coldly glaring at Zahzi.
"...I don't like him." She hissed, her eyes narrowing. "He's too friendly. He's probably going to use you for some personal gain. That's about all you're useful for anyway. Not much other than to be used."

Aiden was busy being... himself. Trying to gut Zahzi, despite the fact he technically didn't exist out of Gabriel's head. And luckily, he lacked the control to make it look like reality. All he could do for now was repeatively stab him in the stomach and chest. Within a few moments, he was at a stab count of thirty seven.

Amaya was standing behind Gabriel, her hands resting on the girl's shoulders as she was trying to be supportive.
"Just tell him." She cooed into her ear. "You need this. Tell him the truth."

"...Uh...?" Was all Gabriel manage to get out of her mouth, her face going pale.

The beast stared at Brad, it's own patience going thin. It wanted to so badly chew up Kio, and then later chew up the damn shark that was refusing to leave it alone. But the shark's tough skin eliminated the possibility of eating it as well, or even running off to Kio.
Giving up, it let out a heavy sigh as it closed it's eyes as if to rest.
Slowly, the animal began to shrink down and lose it's fur, it's body taking more a humanoid form.

In a few moments, Rose was laying on the floor, sleeping peacefully, her cloths missing as they were torn on the kitchen floor...

Jack could only blankly watch as Kio seemed to have a complete personality change while he worked on Eva's wound. He wanted to get involved and help the jerk while he operated, but the way Kio moved and worked while he was in this state made him feel like if he got involved, he would have only gotten in the way and possibly kill Eva. And look like a complete idiot to Kio.
In a flash though, Eva was screaming and crying in pain just as Kio finished up what he was doing, and the fox left. Didn't he ask Jack to ask him to operate nicely? Why was he quitting half way like a chicken s**t?
With a growl, began to finish the job himself. He was no doctor, but how hard could it be to wrap gauze around a wound? He never found it that hard when he had to do it for himself, or watched the others doing it for themselves (rarely ever did Brad do it on himself though. Hardly anything could break his brother's skin.).
"Easy Eva..." He sighed as softly as he could, trying to soothe her. "It' alright. I'm here."

Zahzi merely waited patiently.

Brad just rose an eyebrow, looking down at the sleeping Rose.
"Well, that explains the constant appetite..." he grunted, taking off his coat and placing it over her.

"Don't tell him anything." Adrianna growled threateningly.

"Tell him everything." Amaya whined, slightly shaking Gabriel.

Aiden continued to just stab Zahzi in the chest, his stab count now at one hundred twelve.

"Don't."

"Tell."

Stab.

"Don't."

"Tell."

Stab.

"Don't."

"Tell."

Stab.

"Don't."

"Tell."

Stab.

"STOP IT!" Gabriel suddenly screamed at the top of her lungs, her face paler than a ghost's and tears streaming out of her eyes.
"SHUT UP! SHUT UP! SHUT UP! SHUT UP! SHUT UP!" She screeched as her hands clamped down on her ears as her whole body shook, now beginning to sob as the tears came faster. "EVERYBODY JUST SHUT UP!"

Rose gave a soft smile once the coat-blanket was placed onto her, and curled up into a ball like a puppy would have.
