A scattered soul...  It took a while for Thayne to respond. He was still pondering the risk of having a stranger near Gray in his weakened state. Geeze, what am I doing here? I only just met these people, yet I'm already so protective... There must be a reason we met... Thayne thought to himself. Atop of him still processing the positives and negatives, he was waiting for Umu to respond. He worried about her too. So many things going through his mind at once he simply said, "I guess you can stay here. But stay away from the others. Place your weapons where I can see them. And stay in my sight." Though it came off rude, he had been in that position before. He felt for the kid. "Where ya' headin' anyhow?"

Kisuke pulled his bow from over his shoulder and untied the sheath of his katana from his waist and handed them to the boy. He had some reluctance about just handing over the katana but felt he could trust the guy. Even through the rude tone Kisuke could see the boy was just being protective of the group he was with and took no offence to the tone. "I'm not really sure." He replied sitting down a few feet away from the boy and staring into the small fire. "My plan had only contained of getting away from my captors. My plans now are to avoid getting caught again." The young light haired man took a deep breath and exhaled slowly allowing his lungs to fill and empty again with the cool morning air still watching the small flames dance in the wind. "Before you ask I haven't actually broken the law." He said without moving his gaze from the fire feeling a sense of curiosity in the air.

Umu blinked as he bowed to her which caused her to place the sticks in the branches of one of her 'wings' to free up her hands. With them free she curtsied. Hearing Thayne and watching the boy she now knew as Kitsuke give up his weapons she made a slight face "I'm Umu and that's Thayne and Grayscar" she said softly "I think he's ok Thayne...if he were going to hurt us I don't think he'd have made himself known to us first" she said shifting, her leaves rustling slightly. "At any rate I''l return shortly with food...for everyone" she said as she walked to the fire and pulled the sticks free from her branches. Tossing some in she placed the rest of them next to it before making for the treeline "See you all soon" she called over her shoulder before seemingly vanishing into the greenery.
As Umu wandered through the forest she gathered various edible fruits and mushrooms, however she was hunting for something a bit more to Gray's taste as the same time. As she passed by nothing seemed to notice her, she was like a ghost of the forest. Seeing a turkey in a clearing up ahead of her she paused. Placing a hand on the ground supple vines raced along the ground towards the bird. It noticed too late that something was wrong, as the vines covered it in a net. It flailed and squawked as Umu stood and walked over to it. Placing a hand on it she calmed it and thanked it for it's sacrifice before gently ending its life. Picking up the vine pouch the bird was in she made her way back to camp.
It didn't take her long to return to the camp and she emerged from the forest waving to the others. Upon reaching the fire she up ended her pockets, pulling out several leaf packets of berries, fruits, nuts and mushrooms. From over her shoulder she set down the bird before stretching and yawning slightly. "This is all I could come up with I hope this is enough" she said softly. Umu herself didn't really eat a whole lot, with the trees in her body often providing her energy via their photosynthesis. However eating was sometimes more fun.

A scattered soul... The boy handed over his weapons and Umu left to gather stuff. Thayne no longer doubted Kisuke, though he kept his gaurd up. "As Umu said, I'm Thayne Grey. Pleasure to make your acquaintance. If you don't know where to go, I'm sure you could go with us. You'd have to ask the other two, but it seems you can put up a fight. Might be useful." Thayne set all the weapons down and took up seat across from Kisuke as they waited for their earth-friend to return.
Once she came back, she had plenty of vegetables and other edible items. He noticed the turkey and smiled. "You must be a pretty good hunter, yes? Anyway thanks for gathering all the stuff. Hope everything went okay?"

Thayne had made a perfectly sound offer for him to join the group on their journey, after all he really didn't have many other options. Being a firm believer in fate Kisuke decided he would ask to join them on their journey, after all he couldn't fault the idea. He was about to speak but heard the soft voice of Umu as she had returned with food. He looked from the fire to her for a moment. Is that a turkey? How did she catch it so fast? I mean I'm good at hunting but that was amazing. He quickly returned his gaze to the fire and grinned at Thaynes comment about the girl being a good hunter.
Kisuke laid back against the soft earth beneath him glad for the chance to relax even if it was only for a little while. The relaxation was quickly halted by Greyscar flying across the camp and hitting a wall. Now if that doesn't grab a persons attention nothing will. He thought to himself as the Lycanthrope began to speak with white glowing eyes. "That was... Interesting." Kisuke said now sat up and looking at Grayscar with a cocked eyebrow. The event that had transpired had gotten Kisuke a little excited even though he wouldn't admit it himself and he looked to the others to see what they made of this.

Umu blushed slightly as Thayne commented on her hunting prowess "Oh it was nothing really..." she murmured trying to play it off. She'd never had someone compliment her before, most people seemed to be afraid of her. She smiled softly at Kisuke as she noticed his gaze cut away from her. Hearing Thayne's question she nodded "The forest is calm and there's nothing happening like what happened yesterday, all is well here for the time being" she said as she skewered the mushrooms and some of the nuts to roast them over the fire. Just as she had put them in place and was about to speak about the turkey, Grayscar went flying across the camp. She blinked and looked mildly confused "Is he....ok?" she murmured wondering if he was going to make a habit of being thrown around at random.
She shifted her weight from side to side nervously, Thayne seemed to be better at dealing with Grayscar than she was so she decided to tend the food and watch Kisuke. Not that she thought he was up to something, he actually seemed rather nice. Pulling the turkey from the vine net she looked at it confusedly, admittedly she'd never really hunted much so she wasn't sure how to go about prepping this bird.

is the birthday of our eternity.
Lucius Annaeu Seneca  Idolum Idolum turned to see two attacks hit him. His body broke apart and fell into ashes. All of his army would now stay dead as soon as they were killed, again. It would take a few hours for him to reform next to his phylactery. The essence he took form the fire witch had returned to her. The Lich growled in anger and began to raise another undead army. Dying isn't easy,

~*Olivia Graystone*~ ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ She looked to the skeleton in surprise as their attacks worked not actually expecting that. "Well, that, was just odd." She felt a bit stronger since they started and noted Virgil beginning to be surrounded. She moved to stand before him though hoping to fend off any flames that may go his way. Now was the hard part. "Wait, please, we have a quest and need your assistance." She hated sounding like she were begging but she wasn't full blood, she didn't know how well she could match up and keep him safe in the process.

~*Mikayla Faerule*~ ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ She felt the chains then watched them fall. She moved poking at the dust before turning to see her guards surrounding the newcomers. She smiled lightly seeing the girl's eyes and motioned for the guards to stand down. she could have some play with this one. "Go on boys, I've got this one. Besides, they did try to help, even if she is a halfling." She noted the look the woman gave when it seemed she were asking for help. At least she had the pride of a fire-witch. She would motion the two to follow her closer to the lava lines at the inner temple. As they went lower the head would be almost blistering around them.

 Virgil Fox"Worlds crumble before its might...." "You know, in hindsight, maybe it wasn't the best idea to wear a black coat to a Volcano Village Temple Place." Virgil said, he was sweating like crazy. Well, I guess if we find a shard here, it'll be worth it. Virgil thought to himself as he followed along, he ust hoped he wouldn't burn up in this place. That is the weapon I will create.

To one side of the hall seemed almost like what would seem like a pool of water in form, but was just lava. She noted the one man sweating away, his slight suffering amused her. The half-breed though intrigued her. Normal fire-witches barely ever returned once leaving, and halflings never bolded themselves with entering. "So my young halfling, what brings you the to the temple of fire-witches? Hoping for half your liniage to be revealed? There was a spark in this one she could see but wasn't sure how strong it was. She doubted much considering she wasn't full blood. The fact that she didn't seem phased by the heat of the place puzzled her. Halflings were of the weaker and thus technically not allowed to be born. "Oh, where are my manners, My name is Mikayla Faerule. I am the Queen of the fire-witches."

She felt bad at his discomfort and was glad a moment the others hadn't joined them, When they arrived she took note of the lava then the woman now known as Mikayla. "Majesty, My name is Olivia Graystone, this is my friend Virgil. We seek your assistance in finding a shard that fell from the skies. We were told one fell here." She watched as the woman revealed a necklace and dangled it so they could see, that had to be it. "Please may we have the shard? It's our mission to collect the shards."

A scattered soul... By this point Thayne was no longer surprised by Gray's outbursts. It had happened a few times in the short time that they'd known each other. Though Gray had been weakened by the attack from earlier, Thayne wasn't too worried about him. He seemed to have better bearings on the world than most people. Instead of panicking he simply acknowledge Umu talking. "Well I'm glad everything went well. Thanks again for all your help. "He laughed at Kisuke's remark and proceeded to the limp body on the ground. Thayne got down on one knee and began to look over the body again. He was far from a medic. Not very good in the emergency situation. He never had been. Either way, he knew the basic stuff. He also knew a few extra things. Gray looked battered in Thayne's eyes. The only remedy for that that he knew, was spirit magic. Thayne's eye lids slid down, shutting tight. He concentrated all his will into his hands. They began to glow a blinding blue color. He opened his eyes and stared at the man once more. "Gray, I'm sorry, but this may sting a little." His hands touched the surface of the body's face. Thayne focused, whispering to himself, a small chant. Suddenly, out of nowhere, Thayne felt woozy. His body burst into a light, like blue flame. The dragon spirit revealed itself, taking over his body. A snarl came from the snout, showing horrific sharp teeth. Thayne collapsed to the ground in a seizing fit. He was still for a few moments, then reverted to a human again. He rubbed his face as if in pain. "Hey Umu... You think you can get me a few herbs?" His voice was angered, yet soft, with a subtle hint of pain.

Virgil Fox"Worlds crumble before its might...." "How did bonehead not know that was there. Isn't he supposed to have some sort of super intuition bullcrap or something?" Virgil asked and rolled his eyes, if the enemy was going to be that oblivious, then there was hope for them yet. Now the only foreseeable problem at present was convincing the Fire Queen Lady to hand over the shard. That is the weapon I will create.
