[FIN] Finish the Promise

Sera merely sat on the bed silently, awaiting Luke's response to Rosie's suggestion.

He shrugged lightly, neither inclined nor disinclined by the suggestion.  

[League Trainer Rosie]

She clasped her hands together behind her back at the wall of silence that she was answered with.
She tried to frantically figure out what to do, what to say? she felt like she was just doing everything wrong, she didn't know how to help her friend, she didn't know how to even talk to him right now that wouldn't just make things worse! was she making things worse? She didn't want to be!

Rosie took the silence to take in a long, very silent breath, and separate her worry from her thoughts.
Look Rosie... you can only do the best you can. This is your friend, Luke. You've known him for a long time.

She knew she couldn't be certain what she was doing would be helpful, she couldn't know quite what he was going through, not to the extent he was going through it anyway. But the only thing she knew is that he could probably just use a friend, even if he didn't say it. That what she would want. so... she would just go with that.

"Alright well... I think some fresh air might be nice, maybe take a look around this aria. We don't need to go far."
She tilted her head, looking over at Sera, and moving as if getting ready to head out. making sure all her pokeballs were on her best securely. "yeah?"

Sera hesitated as she looked between both of her friends. Despite Rosie's internal struggle to figure out what to do, the brunette thought her best friend was handling everything with ease - that Rosie was naturally so much better at this whole emotional support thing than she was. But, the blonde did look to her specifically, so Seraphine replied uncertainly, "Did you guys want me to go too..?"

Luke replied with a brief nod, willing to go wherever he was encouraged in his present state.  

[League Trainer Rosie]

"Of course you're welcome to come Sera..." Rosie said with a smile.

The brunette still seemed a little uncertain, but she rose regardless when it appeared they both wanted her to (because why else would Luke be nodding, obviously), so she nodded with an, "Alright," then waited for Rosie to lead the way.

She waiting for Sera to walk over, before she headed toward Luke and the door.

It was very late, and very quiet outside, not even having to mention very dark.
stepping outside she crossed her arms, moving tot he side to let the others out as well as she glanced around the dark buildings and empty streets.
She didn't know this aria, nothing looked familiar, not even the way the buildings were constructed. It was a little creepy, but it did feel good to be outside.

Luke followed as if he were on a line, only faintly registering the change in temperature and atmosphere that indicated the shift from indoors to outdoors without creating any specific thoughts or feelings on the matter. Through some chance he remembered the ice in his hand and its intended purpose, and he halfheartedly raised it to the bruise.

Sera followed her friends out, not too keen on being outside in the middle of the night in the poor section of a city she didn't know, but Giselle was following them and she had the rest of her pokemon with her, so they would be fine... Right? Right, yes, of course they would.

"So," she hazarded as they began walking, "any idea where we're going? Or just walking around?" She'd been having a lot more experience with the latter over the past few months than she ever had in her life.

"Ummm..." Rosie glanced around, realizing she still didn't know what she was doing. "I wouldn't really know where we're going." She looked over at them, giving them a sheepish grin. "So we can explore a little, see what's around."

She turned back around, shuffling a few steps before the picked up her feet. She had nooo idea where she was going, but she headed in an interesting looking direction, that might lead to an interesting looking aria.

"Shouldn't go to far," Luke contributed, the words only barely leaving him. "The Guarde is probably still looking." He said it almost mechanically, as though he were an outsider to the whole situation. Everything felt so distant and impersonal, as if he were amidst strangers rather than his dear friends - as if he himself were a stranger.

Mention of the Guarde still after them made Sera tense, and she silently hugged her arms across her chest as she followed her friends. "What's his problem that he sent the freaking Grand Ile cops out after you guys?" If he hadn't, they could've all just gone back to hers and Rosie's hotel room, and they could be all comfy and safe in there and safe. Sera didn't want to admit it even to herself, but walking around the Lower Quarter in the middle of the night when the Guarde was after them in a country they'd been in for less than 24 hours was more than a little frightening.

Rosie stopped at his words, bunching her shoulders up as she glanced around, as if remembering that they were being looked for. That Luke was being looked for.
She was certainly not used to that AT ALL.
She turned when Sera asked, glancing over her shoulder.
"Does he think he's protecting you? your father?"

Luke nodded in response to Rosie's words, elaborating quietly, "All the problems with my health started in Kodo, so he villainized Kodo." Or villainized anywhere that wasn't the manor, apparently.
