Trenton's eyes widened as the woman explained her situation. But certain things left the boy confused. There was now little doubt that this woman was telling the truth. "Okay... You're saying I'm just a pawn? Then if this is the case... maybe I should try to convince Cyra that the wedding shouldn't take place then, right?" he asked scratching his head. " But then.. why is master Ryu so terrifyingly confusing and abusive to his own son....and even to me?!?! And one other problem... I'm a boy... I can't get pregnant " he added with a concerned an confused face.

The woman chuckled "Trenton your not the one that will become pregnant you know." she informed him. "You see Cyra was born part male and part female. Yes he has a p***s as you likely know but you can ******** him Trenton and cause him to become pregnant. " she informed him. "Yes you need to make it so that even though you and Cyra care greatly for each other I know that you will not marry him that you will not make him happy and most of all Trenton you can not very much not make love to him. " she told him shaking her head. "But there is only one way that Cyra will turn you away and I'm not so sure that your willing to do what it takes to do that. " she informed him.

Trenton's widened, feeling like a puppy trapped in a corner. Things weren't making sense and now Trenton felt like he was in more than he bargained for. Trent had made Cyra his best friend and from the sound of this woman's words, she made it sound like she wanted Trenton to hurt Cyra on a psychological. "I don't want to hurt Cyra... I care about him too much, even if he doesn't love me! " he added stepping away from her. "But ... what if I just call off the marriage? Master Ryu wouldn't lose anything... And I'll force myself to never see Cyra.. o-o-or I'll run away.. Cyra can move on.. Can't he? ....." His mind was rattling with all of this confusing information, but something deep down just didn't seem right. "I don't like this... Why are you telling me all of this?....What am I supposed to do?" he asked as he transformed into a tabby cat, ready to flee if necessary.

"With your special connection to my son Trenton you wont be able to keep that promise unless you betray him and then go away. You have to do what I did in order to save both our clans. There is someone dear to you who has been with me but I'll let them come to you in their time. Trenton please this is important he is going to destroy man kind. All that we know and treasure he will destroy. " she told him shaking her head. "Ryu knows that you might walk away should you know but he doesn't think anything of it if you betray Cyra and then walk away because then Cyra wont want anything to do with you. Once Ryu is dealt with hopefully sooner rather then later then you and Cyra can be reunited. Then at that time I will make sure that Cyra knows that you never betrayed him and that you did what you had to in order to save our clans the last remaining shifters. "

In his cat form, Trent's ears flipped back as he lowered his head, now on the verge of tears. He really didn't want to hurt Cyra. "So you do want me to betray Cyra..." Trenton mumbled out loud. "And... and you're sure this is the only way to help him?.... Can't there be any other way?..." A strong sensation pulled at his heart as the tears started to drip down his face, unable to keep the form of a cat as he transformed back to normal. Sniffing and rubbing his eyes from the tears "I-I'll do it... But only to save Cyra!... You have to understand that he's the only one I love!... And if what you say is true....and this really is the only way to help him... there's no guarantee that he'll ever want to speak to me again.. he was hurt by whatever happened between you and Master Ryu..." Trenton wrapped his arms around himself to keep himself warm... He still felt like something just wasn't quite right. "What if Master Ryu goes after my family? It'll be war if he does.."

So... now I have to cheat on the only person I've ever loved.. break any bonds we could've had.... and then run away.... Sounds like one hell of great plan... Trenton thought sarcastically to himself.

Lila sighed "I'm sorry Trenton but the only way is for you to betray him. I know that Ryu will do things but we plan on taking your clan and removing them from here so that they are not in harms way. Its not right to ask you to walk away from your soul mate for a time only to have your family ripped into war and stolen from you too. We don't want your clan at war or that. My clan wants Ryu to be destroyed but he is strong smart and cunning. He will destroy anything and anyone that gets in his way. I'm so sorry Trenton so so sorry. I'm going to tell Cyra when its safe that you only were trying to save everyone and he will hopefully want you back. I trust that he will become alert to his fathers lies "

With a heavy heart, Trenton shivered and looked at this woman, eyes then to the ground." What do I do?" he asked sorrowfully and low, as if waiting for commands. Still... things seemed off in the woman's story. "Why do you want Master Ryu dead?" he asked. Even though the man was cruel and power-hungry, Trenton didn't really want to be a part if Cyra's father had to die. "I will do as you say... but...How do I know that I can trust you?" he asked timidly, wanting to go home soon as a chill in the air began to blow...

Lila sighed "Trenton here take this and ask Cyra about it. Then if you believe me follow your heart down the road to which you know it must go." she told him. "I had to make that choice for me and for you only you can know exactly what that choice intails. I am doing what I feel is best for me and my family" she told him handing him a locket that she had always worn

Trenton took the little locket in his hand and examined it and gently clasped it in his hand. "Before I go... If I may ask.... What..What happened between you and Master Ryu? What were your reasons on cheating on him?" he asked asked looking up at the women's eyes with his own. There has to be another way... some way so Cyra won't be hurt... any other way... Trenton kept thinking of ideas in order to help Cyra. "I don't know if I can hurt him like the way you want me to ... but I'll do what I can.." he stated quietly. Trenton wasn't really sure why he kept saying those words. Deep down, he knew he probably wasn't going to be able to purposely hurt Cyra. His heart was too far gone and belonged to the Thorton. But what else was there for him to do?

Looking off into the distance, Trenton could see his home lights that were quiet a ways away, begin to turn off. His family was heading to bed now.

Lila sighed blinking some "I didn't cheat on him Trenton it was he who did the cheating and had a child by the woman that he cheated on me with. This child has no idea that they are even his and the clan has no idea how to remove him from power because he threatens to kill everyone Trenton. He has control over Cyra which is the most important thing right now. My son needs to be safe and away from this hell that he is being put through. "

Pulling the locket over his head and letting it fall comfortably around his neck, the blonde male looked back at the woman with a shocked expression! So Master Ryu was the one that cheated on her!? And this manipulation and lying is just so he can stay in power and keep his son under his thumb. But why would Trenton have to hurt Cyra?... No there had to be another way! Trenton was probably going to take a lot of risks soon, but if they helped Cyra, they'd be worth it.

When a member of the Miles clan falls in love, they stay eternally loyal. Pretty soon, a bond would have been joined between the two lovers, and if they were truly meant for each other, they'd live a happy marriage. Trenton wanted that with Cyra so much, that he'd be willing to face all odds in an attempt to keep it... Trenton had an idea. But it could cost him greatly. Trenton memorized the woman's voice. Plans began forming in Trenton's head, if Plan A didn't work, then he'd use Plan B, then Plan C and so forth... anything to keep Cyra from getting hurt anymore than he had.

Taking in the woman's tale, he shape-shifted again into a sturdy young buck with the locket still around his neck. "Alright... I will do my best... now... would you like an escort home?" he asked, just being a gentleman like how he was raised.

The woman shook her head transforming into a large bird much like her son had done and flying away. But she was watching the other hoping that he did as he was told but she was being a nervous habbit to which she didn't wish to be continued. Sighing deeply she went about her way feeling something was wrong but she couldn't place it. Was Trenton going to go and put them all at risk.

In the frigid night time air, Trenton managed to bound home safely. Mato was asleep and Trenton really debated if he should his closest family member about the whole ordeal he was essentially being forced to go through. Trenton would never want to hurt Cyra.. there must be.. some other way.... The time of night wasn't helping the boy's mental processes form any brilliant ideas. He was deathly cold and drearily exhausted from the day's events. Trenton wrapped his arms around himself as he headed to his room. Shivering, he curled up in his semi-warm bed and made a strong effort of warming himself. Sleeping alone only made the cold feeling, sink in deeper.

In the morning, however, any attempts to come up with a plan to help Cyra were dramatically put on halt! Trenton woke up with 101 degree fever and had a severe runny nose. The cold air last night must have caused the young man to catch a horrible head cold. Groaning his head bed, he cursed himself for going swimming and staying out so late. The real problem was that, today, Trenton had a class to go to and with this cold, there was no way he was going to be able to make it. Reaching for his charging cell phone, he pressed a few buttons and started call someone. Pulling the phone under his covers, he began talking with his unfortunately congested and nasally voice. "Hey, Lenka... It's me, Trenton .." he sniffed in between the pauses. Lenka was a good classmate in the same class Trenton was missing today. They'd hung out sometimes, but Trenton could never get too close to Lenka, because Lenka was human. " Well I'm sick ... do you think you could take notes for then for me today?" he asked the other. Lenka agreed to do so, only if he was allowed inside to help Trenton study. Trenton never really realized it, but Lenka was in love with Trenton and was a bit of a spitfire that would do anything to get what he wanted. Trenton agreed to let the other stay and help, unbeknownst of the human's affectionate feelings. "k.. I'll see you later..bye.." said the shape shifter and he hung up the phone. Too tired to get up and tell Mato that a human would be coming to the house today, Trenton called the house phone and lazily told Mato that way. Mato only sighed at the young man's laziness and accepted the plan of the human friend coming over later that day..

Cyra was waiting in his room for Trenton to come back but the other male never did which hurt but he rolled over hugging to his pillow in frustration. "Why did you just up and leave me like that Trenton ??" he muttered to himself as he rose and paced his room not once stopping for six hours straight even though his father wanted him to stop but he ignored him the entire time just humming much he had when he was younger.
