Mairi smiled slightly "Neither do I.Ginhana belongs to Raen." She gave a little nod when Saeko said she'd be back to check on them.Ginhana bounded into the room as soon as the door opened and leapt onto the bed, sitting down at the foot of it.Mairi turned her head towards the door slightly and opened her eyes.Now that Saeko's back was turned, she didn't feel so self conscious about her eyes.

Raen shifted as he walked into the room, handing Saeko one of the bottles of water before walking over to Mairi and handing her the apple juice and banana he'd gotten for her. He set the strawberries near her as well, since he knew Ginhana was very fond of Mairi.

Mairi gave him a small smile when he handed her the juice and fruit "So that's where you two went..." Ginhana watched Saeko for a moment before going over to the strawberries.She made quite the sight, trying to eat a strawberry that wouldn't even fit in her mouth.Unconsciously, Mairi reached over and broke it in half.She waited until Saeko left before speaking again "I get a bad feeling about all of this...Your aura's changed from before and those two girls...It's weird..."

Raen half sat on his own bed, ignoring the bit of blood trying to seep through the scrubs and bandages. "What about 'those two girls'? Was one of them that one that escorted you here?" he said carefully, mildly amused at Ginhana's actions. He paused, cocking his head as he concentrated before summoning his katana, which materialized in a swirling gust of indigo-black flames. He noticed immediately there were threads of pulsing silver that wove themselves over the tsuba crossguard and the base of the blade. "It could have something to do with the fact that it seems that that little drop, on top of allowing Ginhana to speak, you to 'sense' where you are regardless of sight, and... well, I have no idea what it did to me, but I do know it made this katana sentient," he said quietly.

Mairi nodded slightly "Yeah..Her aura..Fizzled?I don't know how to explain it...But it wasn't normal." After he'd finished speaking, Ginhana growled slightly and Mairi frowned slightly "I've always been able to do that, but not to this degree and what do you mean it's sentient...?" "My being able to speak shouldn't be spoken about so freely." Mairi sighed slightly and took a drink of her juice.Her back was killing her.

Raen rolled his eyes when Ginhana spoke. "Why do you think I waited for the doctor to leave before mentioning it?" he said, flicking a thumb over his shoulder at the closed door, since Saeko had closed it when she left. "I mean that that 'fall'... whatever happened to us, changed us somehow, though I'm still trying to figure out how the heck a sword can be sentient, but then... being able to dismiss a katana or summon one with a thought isn't exactly normal, either," he said as he blinked, recalling where he'd seen that odango girl and the one that had escorted Mairi here. He didn't realize he'd shivered, the katana flickering and vanishing as it had appeared, at the realization. "I don't know how to say this... but I think we ended up in a cartoon," he said quietly. He knew how strange it sounded, but it was all he could think of.

"Don't make me bite you.You know what I meant." Mairi sighed slightly "Ginny, be nice.And how would the fall , or whatever it was, change us?" She distinctly recalled something similar in feeling to being around her grandmother when they'd gotten separated but kept silent about it.She frowned when his aura flickered, the mark on her forehead flaring a brilliant silver.It made her head hurt "What the hell do you mean we ended up in a cartoon!?I don't even watch cartoons!" Which was slightly true.To her, anime wasn't a cartoon.Ginhana looked from one to the other, her mouth full of strawberry.She let out a squeak when she saw Mairi's forehead, and backed away a little, unnerved by the sight.

Raen shrugged as he idly stuck his tongue out playfully at Ginhana, teasing her. He lifted his hand as the mark on the back of his hand ignited in a hot indigo and golden aura. "I'm not quite sure how, but when have you ever seen someone manage to summon a tattoo with unusual energy at will outside of an anime cartoon? I can't quite remember which one this is... but it seems familiar somehow," he said intently.

Ginhana narrowed her eyes and turned away, going back to eating the strawberries, but kept and eye as the mark on Mairi's forehead started glowing steadily brighter.Mairi gave him a withering look "Raen.I can't see anything besides what I can pick up with whatever you wanna call it that I can do in my head.SO as far as glowie tattoos go I'm completely confused." She peeled the banana and pulled off a chunk, thinking as she ate "Wait...what if whatever it is you're talking about isn't a tattoo, but a Mark?"

Raen shrugged. "I'm not quite sure what it is, but it feels very different... almost alive, so it ain't a tattoo, and I know for a fact tattoos don't glow," he said quietly.

Mairi let out a little huff and ate another chunk of banana she'd pulled off Storms, wormholes, blindness, and now glowing tattoos.This is one messed up cartoon if he's right. She went to lay back on the bed and shot back up when a sharp pain went through her back "Does anyone else you've seen have a glowing tattoo thing so far, or just you?" Ginhana turned a gave him a look, warning him to be careful if he chose to tell her.

Raen noticed the look Ginhana shot his way and sighed softly. "Not that I've seen, yet. I get a really strong sense I should recognize at least something around here though I don't," he said quietly. He blinked as he realized something that had been nudging at the back of his mind, unaware that in the instant of the realization he'd slid back on the bed suddenly, though unfortunately for him the support rail on the other side gave way beneath him with a metallic clatter before he was deposited with a loud thud on his upper back and shoulders. He unintentionally snapped a curse with the ungraceful landing that would have had experienced sailors blushing.

Ginhana gave a tiny nod when he didn't tell Mairi and mouthed the word 'Later'.Mairi continued eating, realizing exactly how hungry she'd been "Try focusing on something.It could be completely random, but it might help you find what you're looking for." She paused when she heard the thump and stifled a small snicker when he cursed "Shhh, you're gonna get us in trouble." Ginhana let out a snort and curled up on the pillow "That's what you get for not paying attention."

Raen winced slightly as he rolled through the semi-painful landing, his eyes half closed. "I had suspected something was unusual in that I recognized the nurse that brought in the initial snacks earlier and the girl that helped you here... and that odango girl in the cafeteria, but didn't connect the dots. I also unconsciously recognized the doctor, but didn't realize the links," he said quietly. He felt a tingle of energy shoot up his spine at high speed, though as he rose, he didn't see the nickel sized symbol glowing in a deep cobalt blue color just above his eyebrows on his forehead. Simultaneously, there was a brilliant beam of energy that shot skyward from a pedestrian bridge a couple of blocks away, obviously visible from where they were located.

Mairi chewed on her bottom lip, thinking.She'd noticed some things were off here, as He had but because she couldn't see she couldn't really say anything "Wait..Odango girl..." The look on her face was priceless.Somewhat between mortification and a little awe "There's only one anime I've ever watched that had a girl in it with the odango hairstyle.." When the beam of energy shot up, Mairi let out a startled breath and the mark on her forehead flared a brilliant silver lighting the room.Images started flashing through her mind, faces, Raen and Ginhana, as well as her own and a few others that she didn't recognize were among them.Ginhana looked from Raen back to Mairi, not exactly sure what to do.
