Vince raised an eyebrow upon seeing the Aggron being released. What could a pokemon of that size hope to accomplish? However he watched as his trainer, a confident, strapping young lad ordered him to use rock polish . Despite the van being unstable from the speed at which it went, Vince shot up as far as he could go without the seatbelt coming off. Rock polish: a move that increased the speed of rock types by smoothing the surface to reduce drag. From a geologic standpoint it seemed to make no sense, but that didn't stop the pokemon from quickly speeding towards the target at a surprisingly fast pace. Immediately Vince brought out his notebook and started jotting down how he saw the move work. In doing so, he nudged the premeir ball and caused the release of his Aron, Larry. Just then he noticed that one of the trainers, the one who sent out the dark charizard was offering him to come closer to the door. Slightly unsure, Vince did so, smiling a little at the stranger's words. "Yeah. it sure is. Thank you by the way." In that moment Vince forgot the danger involved and considered the experience purely educational as he watched all of the pokemon speed pass and jotted down little notes as fast as he could, forrgetting all his former fears to be replaced with awe.
On the floor near Vince's feet Larry once again blinked his big blue eyes to adjust to his surroundings but quickly noticed all of the action going on outside the vehicle. Suddenly, the Aron's eyes beamed at the sight of the massive Aggron that now sped toward the car at a speed that looked unnatural. Eyes fixed in wonder, the Aron stared as the Aggron made a swipe at the bumper.

Ty's jaw dropped as she saw the change in Vince. Glaring at Andre, the girl seemed ready to lean across the seats to get her hands around his neck, but with so much going on outside and inside and the movement of the van, she eventually decided against it. It wasn't wise to get unbuckled from your seat in a vehicle shaking as badly as this one.
The false Rapidash watched as other, flying pokemon sped on ahead of the running ones. They seemed to have a goal of reaching a second vehicle ahead of them and tagging it or...or something. Taking it a apart, maybe? Oh, look at those dragons! Maybe she could try to be one of those. Ah, on the other hand, they probably wouldn't appreciate her company and they looked pretty fierce.
But then there was an Aggron. An Aggron moving faster than she'd ever thought such a large pokemon could move. Staring, Aquamarine made a quick decision and mimiced the form of the steel-type, using Rock Polish as he had so that she could race him. Suddenly she was aware of her strength and ability to eat metal. Hmm...what would a piece of that vehicle up ahead taste like? Was that why everyone seemed to be so eager to reach it? Was it really that delicious?

As one might have suspected of a Rocket-made cargo vehicle, it wouldn't easily yield to any single attack. The strong metal of the exterior withstood much of Fraener's Air Slash and Aurora's angry claws, though it jerked back for a moment as the Aggron's claws briefly took hold and it escaped again. The Bouffalant's horns scraped along the edge of the undercarriage, effectively ripping the bumper away from the car as Luna's Megahorn tore into a tire. Dolly's Flame Wheel singed its target, pieces of various sizes falling away from the damage. The windshield, much to the driver's fortune, was strong enough to stand up to the Fire Blast, though it did veer suddenly and violently - likely due in equal part to the blown out tire the vehicle now sported. As a Dragonite too put its efforts towards stopping the car's progress, it came to a sudden halt, the driver's side door flung open. A single Rocket extricated himself from the seat, nearly falling over himself in an effort to get away as a string of screamed profanity followed him.
Almost simultaneously, a second car swung around and jerked to a halt near the disabled vehicle, a man in a black uniform jumping out of the driver's seat with a hand at his waist. At once there was a Charizard at his side that, after presumably receiving a command from its apparent trainer, flew up into the air and crashed down on the sands in a violent Fissure that would instantly knock out every pokemon in contact with a solid surface.
"Hang on!" Petra wrenched the steering wheel to a side abruptly, digging the wheels into the sand to stop the car as the earth ahead of them quivered and split, opening up into a long chasm that separated the pair of Rocket vehicles from the League van and the following police cruisers.
Alder held on tight as the van swung to a stop before the chasm, then opened his door and jumped out to get a better look at their newest obstacle. It stretched out a great distance, preventing them from simply driving around it, and its width of at least five or six feet prevented them from driving over it. Shoot. Turning back to the van, he moved to open the door. "All right everyone, we need to get across this," he gestured behind him to the large, long chasm, "so if you have any pokemon that can traverse it, please let them out now and cross over it carefully."
With a quiet sigh in frustration, Petra removed herself from the vehicle as well, approaching the crevasse with a quick step and waved an arm in a beckoning gesture, "Those of you unable to cross on your own, over here."

Bouffalant had every intention of continuing, as well as turning on the newly released Charizard, but his determination turned to a brief flash of surprise right before the attack knocked him out.
As the Charizard crashed into the ground, Luna stumbled briefly before tumbling into the sand, unconscious.
When her precious Rapidash fell, Sera inhaled sharply and got out the instant they were able to. The shifting sands and the distance prevented her from trying to recall the fire-type, so instead she focused on passing their newest obstacle. Plucking a luxury ball from her belt, the brunette released her Metang. "Mordecai," she started as she replaced the ball, then gestured to the vehicle and the downed pokemon on the other side, "I need you to carry me across."
"Metang!" The dual-type whirred and hummed happily, lowering himself so that Sera could climb on top of his head. Once she was situated, he levitated back up and headed over to the other side of the chasm, with Giselle following after them worriedly.
Alder pulled out a pokeball and let loose his Braviary, though refrained from mounting it just yet so he could assist any others near Petra if need be.

Moriko didn't know what attack she could use to stop the van, but she didn't really think it mattered; all the other pokémon seemed to have some way to do it. She was just supposed to keep pace and help out when she could.
As the van was stopped, she sped up a little bit to make sure she wasn't lagging behind too far. There was a human... Two humans... Coming out of the vehicles. And there was an enemy Charizard. Oh dear. The vibration from the Fissure travelled up through her legs as they hit the sand, and, mid-stride, the Sawsbuck tumbled to the ground.
"Damn it!" Lin cursed, seeing Moriko go down, and then catching ahold of Jeeves as he threatened to tumble when Petra stopped the van. As soon as Alder opened the door, Lin scrambled out and began striding, determinedly for the chasm. He looked over, and into, it, then turned back, made a hand gesture at Jeeves, before seeming to take a run up at the big hole in the ground, as though he thought he could simply jump across it. And the Snivy seemed to be following suit... The pair flew into the air, over the empty space as a vine spread around Lin's waist and another sought out purchase at the other side of the chasm.

THe moment the fire blast had been released, Thierry had darted off again, doing his best to get as far out of the way as possible, in case his attack had been successful, and as it apparently had at least caused the driver to veer off course, he sped off, intent on making a large loop around the entire group, his eyes narrowed as he tried to figure out what was happening closer in. The charizard's attack, however, caught him just in range, and the rapidash stumbled and collapsed.
Aurora, angry that her claws had been unable to pierce the van, slid off and immediately leapt for it again, thankfully airborn when the charizard's attack struck, and turned her attention to the enemy pokemon, leaping forward toward it in a Wild Charge. Unfortunately, the attack still was in effect, and te moment her paws touched the ground, the arcanine crumpled as well.
Dove was jerked in the car, slamming into Dith's side as the van skidded to a halt, and was quick to follow everyone out into the sands once more, her eyes widening behind the goggles as she watched the attack take down a large portion of the team. The massive fissure in their way made her brows furrow, and she pulled out the masterball, releasing the mew against her chest to shield it from the sands that whipped around. "Trill, can you transform and get us across? Your pick, just choose something big, if you can see."
Though unhappy with the sands that hit it as it looked around, the little pokemon set its sights on the Braviary Alder had loosed, and in an instant, it leapt from it's trainer's arms and transformed, allowing the girl onto its back as it followed after Sera and her Metang, swooping as it attempted to gain new bearings, but bringing the girl safely across. That done, the girl slid off of its back, thanking it quickly before returning it to its ball and looking for more orders or an obvious task.

The van was surprisingly sturdy, but the combined efforts of the pokemon finally managed to put an end to its progress. Unconsciously Luke gave a curt nod in approval of Tartarus's efforts, having foregone his seatbelt in favor of having a better view of the unfolding events. Even less expected than the vehicle's durability, however, was the sudden appearance of a Charizard and the nearly concurrent rocking of the ground - splitting of the ground. Righting his footing as he was nearly thrown, Luke searched the area across the chasm for his Aggron, frowning severely as he found it lying unconscious in the sand. Somewhere in the midst of things he discovered he had disembarked from the vehicle, and he paused to look to Rosie. They both had flying-types to convey them to their destination, but he had told her he would stay at her side and intended to keep her at his. He could certainly wait for Perdy's return - or however she chose to cross - before embarking on Leste.
__
As trainers gathered nearby, Petra released a massive Steelix from one of the balls at her thigh, encouraging the steel-type to lay across the gap - several times shorter than his length - so those waiting could cross.

Upon seeing the bridge Andre concluded that it was a lot safer to cross that way. Why tempt fate trying to ride his unpredictable pokemon when he could easily cross with everyone else. That being said, he turned towards his dark Charizard and leveled it with a menacing look. "Listen to me," Fraener reared back, obviously angered at the tone and look he was being given. "No, listen to me." He hissed, taking a step into the pokemon's space. "You will assist the other pokemon and you will not kill anything." The pokemon leaned down into his face, trying to assert its dominance but Andre didn't even blink. "If you do you will never see the light of day again, is that understood?" He asked quietly. There was no need to draw anyone else's attention. The two continued to stare at each other until the Charizard eventually relented and took a step back. "Now go; and stay away from the other Charizard." He ordered and immediately his pokemon launched itself into the air in an indignant fury.
With that taken care of, the trainer went to retrieve his Espeon from the van. "Velencia, come." He called as he passed the van and made his way to the bridge. The Espeon came readily, much more manageable than her trainers other pokemon.
