((Maybe :'D This'll either go well or ... horribly))

Fletcher scratched at his trim beard, not seeming to mind the glare or laugh but making mental note to give Khan the facts Luis gave him about the metal. His gaze turned towards the medics and wondered if any of them would know how to possibly get some smokes or whatever this day-and-age's equivalent was of cigarettes was (seeing the medical technology and hover-beds used to move the cadavers made it obvious this was nowhere near the year they'd gone to sleep in) when Luis started to flip out and the three dog-piled on top of the beautiful blond and tried to get him closed up. Only for Luis to get them all off as the wound was sealed, and Fletcher sighed at the order, cool eyes meeting Luis' enraged ones before they great game of keeping the 'wolf' away from the medic 'lambs' began. Because really if Luis wasn't blocked off the blond would've gone to town like a wolf among sheep.

Fletcher hopped pods and sped to block off Luis from those working to do ... something with dead bodies and pods. Fletcher didn't really care; but if Khan was working at it then it had to be important somehow. And John had told him to help control Luis, so that he would do. Eventually it came down to him boldily getting tackled by the wild animal in question, the two of them grappling on the floor as Luis tried to run off, but Fletcher was having none of that. And the wrestling and squirming between the two pajama'd men came to a stop as Luis got a grip on Fletcher's throat, giving the sniper pause.

Fletcher blinked, then slowly sighed through his nose with a disgruntled, tired look as Lana and John tried to talk down Luis ... with about as much success as they would've gotten trying to talk to a wild animal. Damn Fletcher wished he could've just stayed asleep; he figured it was more likely than anything he was about to have the unpleasant sensation of getting his throat ripped out. To a eugen like him it wouldn't be fatal, but damn it was going to hurt and bleed like hell. Fletcher yawned widely, even with Luis's teeth clamped onto his neck. Just stretching his jaw calmly without a care in the world; as if it were some puppy nipping at him instead of the insane Luis. Well, at least Fletcher was someone who was calm in any situation; it wouldn't have been good to have someone who would panic in a situation like this; because panic would've likely just fueled Luis' predatory instincts to kill. Only prey or the weak panicked. Fletcher, despite his current situation, was neither.

The sniper moved an arm slightly--they were both pretty well-entangled on one another after their initial scramble--and put one hand around the back of Luis' neck. Which was odd considering grabbing the blond's hair would've given him a lot more to grab onto, and grabbing the front of Luis' neck might've given him a chance to crush the other's windpipe even as his own throat got torn out. But now; he grabbed the back and held tightly, like a parent wolf grabbing a unruly pup by the scruff to carry them back to the den before they got themselves into more trouble. Fletcher could feel the other's vibrating growls thanks to how close they were, but only added his own gruff voice to the other's noise.

"If you ain't gunna do it, then let me the ******** go." There was no heat to the words, not even in the curse. Just a simple matter-of-fact 'if you are not going to put your money where your mouth is, then sit down kid'. Fletcher had zero fear or worry going through him, unlike John and Lana. Like a hawk he floated above such petty things such as stressful emotions, living with simple wants and needs. Like the needs for uninterrupted naps, smokes, and a gun to shoot with. All three of which he currently did not have, and the metal ground was rather unpleasant to the bits of his naked flesh that was touching it, giving him goosebumps that he ignored. Right now all on his mind was following the orders given to him, and looking for tobacco products afterwards ... if tobacco products still existed (which they did not, considering the unnecessary health costs to keep checking and treating cancer growth had finally had the things completely outlawed about a century ago).

His grip on Luis' neck was tight, but not threateningly so. Just a reminder the other wasn't holding something easily cowed in his jaws. Fletcher yawned again, scratching at some bits of frozen ice still stuck to some of his beard that was also rapidly melting and feeling funny against his face. Really, Fletcher was acting like Luis was no threat, and in turn not acting very threateningly himself. Or anxious; because mixing worried stress with uneasy stress usually led to bloodshed when it came to animals; fear meant weakness which meant blood was going to be spilled.

Luis was looking for a threat where threat was due but thankfully he seemed to have latched himself onto the least threatening person in the group. John and Lana stood around in anxious energy, worried that Luis was going to rip out Fletchers throat, but it seemed that the other was doing a very good job of deflecting the rage and whatever else that Luis was feeling. Luis shifted in his spot when the hand raised up, grasping the back on his neck, then he stilled because there had only been one other person who had done that. There were eugens that Luis had been close to, ones who knew how to handle him, but they had died while he was still young because they were considered defective because they were not as brutal as him.

It was so odd to feel that kind of touch, that kind of calm, it made Luis angry for a moment but then relaxed him as he realized there was nothing that he had to worry about. It still took some time for Luis to calm down but after a few moments he pulled away and watched the bruises quickly heal away before he tried to move away, the others hand still in place. "Glad to know at least some one knows how to handle a rabid wolf." Luis shoved the other away then stood, still covered in now drying blood, before Lana ran over and started looking him over. He wrapped his twin in a hug, chuckling as she did the same, then looked over at John.

"Sorry about the abrasive entry there but you know how I get… guess we were lucky Fletcher was here?" John sighed heavily and shook his head before walking over and pressing on Luis's stomach to see if there were any tender spots.

**

Jim received a comm shortly after the incident started with a rather upset ensign telling him about the escape but it being under control. Jim was happy because he really didn't want to do what he needed to at the moment… which involved getting dressed and getting off the rather comfortable Vulcan pillow he had for a first officer. Sure it wasn't the most ethical thing to do, Jim knew that very well, but damn did he not care about any of that. He was happy to have the Vulcan in his grasp and ethics or morals be damned he wasn’t going to let starfleet codes interrupt him because there was nothing about him and a first officer just someone… below that. They had to get up though, go deal with the situation, Jim really hated being on ships sometimes.

((It went well for now but I give it very little time before it goes very wrong.))

Fletcher just waited, unconcerned with his own personal well being and just blinking as Luis let go of him and pull back a moment. The sniper just grunted at the shove he got, letting go of Luis and rubbing his own healed neck to get the other's saliva off as the 'rabid wolf' went over to his twin. Fletcher got to his own feet, leaning against a pod and glancing over where the doctors and Khan looked to be finishing up putting cadavers in the free pods. Khan, of course, had not missed the fact Luis had growled at and shoved his John, but when he marched over as the 'dead' pods were being carted away to another cargo bay to show off to Admiral Krell, he clearly was not very happy with Luis even if the other had, somehow, calmed down.

"Boss," Fletcher spoke up, then explained what Luis had already told him and the doctors about what he remembered of his imprisonment and where the metal shards had come from. Once his report was done, he asked simple and straight to the point: "There any smokes on this ship?" Fletcher did not much care if it had been odd he'd somehow managed to handle Luis without getting his neck torn off; that was already water under the bridge. Current 'assignment' completed successfully, his mind was right back to getting some personal comforts.

Khan was already processing the new information, frowning to himself. Metal taken straight off of a wall? Engineers did plenty of that, and knew how to handle raw and sharp metals with familiarity. So, this was the work of some nameless redshirt that likely blended in easily with all the rest ... as for whether it was a security guard who'd blabbed to an engineer or one man who was a part of both pools had yet to be seen. He needed more clues. "No, it is likely they do not," Khan answered with a bit of a snap; he'd had to do quite a lot of hunting to get himself comforting nicotine patches when he'd been John Harrison; quite a lot of black market dealings to get ahold of old-fashioned tobacco products were done planet-wise, and a few areas still sold them legally. But on a ship like this ... hell, Khan was sure there would be very little of that kind of rarity to go around, if any at all. And he'd rather not give Fletcher a reason to go looking; because Fletcher did have a bad habit of shooting people in the foot sometimes to get what he wanted. Literally.

"John, did whoever did this know what they were doing, or just stabbing for fun?" he asked the doctor, seeing as scar tissue didn't last long on eugens. Especially those like Luis; John and Lana had seen the fresh evidence so now he needed to know all he could about it besides the obvious.

Fletcher slumped a little, heaving a large sigh. Damn it, no smokes. Well, he'd get some ... somehow. He needed his smokes. And maybe a pair of pants, now that he looked down at himself and thought about it. Pants, smokes, and he'd be happy as a clam.

Spock's eyes opened as the comm went off, listening with a slowly growing frown and then sigh as he heard the message relaid to Kirk. Since Jim was not moving, the Vulcan beneath him did, sitting up slowly and saying with insufferable logic: "We need to get going, Jim."

Luis almost bolted when Khan started approaching, knowing he had shoved and growled at John, but thankfully Fletcher redirected the male and Luis was able to hide behind his sister while John just sighed. John looked up at Khan then nodded in reply to his question "Yeah they knew what they were doing… they knew very well what they were doing. If Luis had been a normal person this would have been much different, he wouldn’t have lived, there would have been no way to get the metal out in time before he bled out but this person knew that and knew just where to put everything so it wouldn’t be see right away through the pod." Luis gripped Lana's arm roughly not liking the conversation and she just sighed, patting his hand, Luis was used to her showing at least a little bit more and he had just been tortured so he thought maybe a little more compassion but it seemed that was out of the question.

Luis pulled his hand away then stepped past everyone to Hamish "You mind showing me to where we are staying on this vessel? I got an ear full from my captors, I know why we are here, and I just need a good clean up." Hamish seemed a bit surprised and so did Lana. Lana stepped forward to try and lead her brother away, grabbing his arm, and Luis just shrugged her off. He crossed his arms over his stomach and followed Hamish, still bloody and aching, out of the cargo bay and away from all the people that were still frozen while Lana stood shocked at her brothers disregard for her.

John looked over his shoulder, watching the two leave, then sighed heavily and shook his head. "I wish people would stop HURTING our crew Kahn. I am getting really tired of our people being treated so poorly by the ones who created us." John looked to Lana who was just staring after her twin silently then gently grabbed the woman's arm "Take Fletcher to a room yeah? He needs a place to sleep." Lana nodded then motioned for Fletcher to follow her while John and Khan talked over what was going on and Khan got the information that he needed.

Hamish showed Luis to the deck they were staying on then to an empty room, knowing at this point he wouldn’t be wanting to stay with Lana, and watched the other for a moment. "Luis-?" The blond looked around the room then down at the ground and to Hamish, a small smile gracing his face, it was so rare to see him without his hard mask that Hamish almost reeled back. As a child he had only seen it once or twice and then as he got older it never appeared again. Luis just wasn't one to look soft around anyone but Lana and even then he figured someone was always there to sneak a peek so he would rather not. "I am fine Hamish… Just need to clean up." Hamish nodded stiffly then watched the other disappear into the bathroom before he left.

Lana showed Fletcher to the same room, not making any conversation, and sighed when she heard the shower going. "For now we are doubling up on rooms just to keep things easier to handle. You will be sharing with my brother for now…" She wanted to say more, to do something, but instead she cast a glance to where she heard the humm from the sonic shower then turned away and walked off. A few moments later Luis stepped out of the bathroom look much cleaner and a little less… massacery.

Jim groaned as Spock sat up, rolling away from his now moving pillow, and hit him with a pillow. "You know it's just not fair that we have to get up." Jim sighed then sat up feeling oddly stiff and… sore. He certainly hadn't had that in a while, a long while, so it was very strange to suddenly be sore in that place. Jim stood and walk/limped to his dresser to get clothes before glaring down at himself because holy s**t he didn't remember the last time he was sore after sex and Spock was not super well versed but that had been awesome and… wait. "I never did ask you how many times you have done that Spock. You seemed to know what you were doing but I always thought you didn't find sex Logical." Jim looked over his shoulder at Spock as he pulled his boxers on and tried not to fidget at the eyes on him.

"We don't exactly have much control over the current situation," Khan grumbled at John's complaint, more aggravated by the fact their crew was in such perilous straights without the ability to protect them or let them protect themselves; than being mad at John. "We will need to talk to the captain about this. So long as things don't go wrong, anyway ..."

Fletcher just hung around until Lana motioned for him to follow her, not in any rush to be anywhere or do anything. It seemed highly unlikely he was to be getting smokes or a gun to call his own anytime soon, if John and Khan's weaponless states were anything to go by. Sure, John was a doctor, but the man--when able--seemed to be just as ready for anything as the next soldier. The lack of arms on those two clearly telegraphed to the sniper they were in a situation where they were not in complete control. So, he just sighed to himself and shrugged when showed to the room he would be sharing with Luis. No skin off of his bones; okay well it might lead to some skin and flesh getting bitten off of himself, but Fletcher didn't care. A room was a room, though he stared a few moments at the single bed before shrugging to himself and digging through the dresser.

By the time he'd found a scarf, Luis was walking out of the bathroom looking much improved. Fletcher glanced his way, scarf in hand. "We're sharing the room." It was a statement of fact. Fletcher then flopped onto the bed and wrapped the scarf around his eyes like a blindfold, pulling the bedsheet up and over himself. If Luis wanted him to move, the other would order him to do so, Fletcher knew. Until then, he would sleep in the 'dark' so to speak. Fletcher could only sleep in complete darkness or close to it, so when he slept it was always with any kind of makeshift blindfold to block out light.

Spock simply tilted his head at the whack he got with the pillow, getting up himself and trying very hard not to look ... pleased with himself as Kirk got up and limped around. The Vulcan admired the others body, but was also working on getting properly dressed himself. There was still anger at the sight of all the scars, but Spock had a better handle on controlling it now. "Sex is often not logical; but for you humans it is a natural key means to reliving stress and tension. Therefore in such a high risk situation it is vital to make sure you have the complicity to preform as well as possible, and sex helps you do so, Captain." Trust Spock to totally avoid the first question of how many times he'd done 'that'. The first officer was already dress and ready to go, raising an eyebrow at Kirk. "Shall we get going. Or do you need Doctor McCoy to assist you with that limp?"

There was no way to tell if the Vulcan was being genuine or sarcastic. But there could be no doubt the Vulcan was ... pleased with his own performance in this case.

Luis looked up at the other, watching him, then he just huffed, and changed into something moderatly more appropriate than just the sweat pants he was wearing before walking out of the room without a word. No need to tell the other male where he was going, Fletcher wouldn’t care, and while he should be resting that was the last thing that Luis wanted to do at the moment. Instead Luis decided to go looking for something to do, someone to talk to, he was hoping that Hound was awake so he could pester the other dog and the other would let him break down after what happened. Hound and Fox had always been the people he went to when he didn't want his sister to see him fall apart and right now he felt like he was on very shaky ground.

Luis found the two males room and gently tapped on the door in a common pattern, nervously rubbing his hands together as he stood at the entrance, when the door opened he gave the best grin he could but his insides were still hurting and he was feeling slightly crushed. "You wouldn’t believe the wakeup call I had." Luis chuckled a little at the greetings but once the door closed he couldn’t hold up anymore and stumbled out what happened with barely there confirmations and barely held back tears. Anger radiated in the room but Luis just sat there with his elbows on his knees and his head in his hands.

"The idiots didn't even know how to set a pod correctly… they put me back days ago but I was still conscious, they thought I was asleep, it was only a matter of time before I defrosted… I wish I hadn't. I don't even know why it was done to me, why they tortured me, god I have done things but I don't torture people. Leave that up to the elders of our group I just kill who I am ordered to and even then I don't even know anyone in this time line I could have killed. How did any of that warrant what they did?" Luis shook his head "And then I am the bad guy because I get angry, because I want to fight back, I all but had my guts ripped out but I am the bad guy." Luis shook his head.

**

Jim was very aware of the careful dodge on Spocks part and he figured he would just have to ask another time to get an answer. Though as Jim was pulling on his shirt after cleaning up a bit Spock was making a comment about his limp and Jim was stopping to look back at the man. "You cheeky little-" Jim was stopped by his com but the grin on his face said he wasn't angry at all. He actually quite enjoyed Spocks brazen attitude. "I am heading to the bridge now. Calm down Uhura." Uhura sighed then said like ten different things about Jim being late before both him and Spock were heading out.

Jim tried his damndest to mask his limp and succeeded for the most part, even on the bridge, before he sat down and started asking for updates. "Everything is going as planned captain and we should be able to get the pods over to Krell soon enough." Jim nodded and shifted in his seat, wondering when his chair had gotten so uncomfortable.

Needless to say, Hound and Fox was shocked to hear the familiar knocking, Hound hurrying to the door only to see Luis standing there when the other should still be frozen. Needless to say it was a relief the 'little wolf' wasn't out massacring everyone on-board the ship--though Hound wouldn't have really minded--it was a shock to see Luis the way he was. The massive grizzly of a man let Luis in, both he and Fox giving confused greetings. Middle-aged Fox was sitting on the bed in the room but made room for Luis to sit down next to him, Hound pacing and Fox frowning deeply as Luis explained what had happened.

Fox sighed, lightly stroking Luis' light hair. "Idiots have always killed wolves because of the off chance a wolf may or may not kill and eat their livelihood. Humankind is not tolerant of ... superior predators. And because they can easily tell themselves those predators are a danger to all men, they feel killing those superior to themselves is a victory in a war that is truly nothing more than a genocide. There is no sensible way to explain it, Luis."

"Forget explaining it; we need to find those little ******** and rip their guts out," Hound huffed, to which Fox only rolled his eyes.

"How ... brash. And something that would set the entirety of the Enterprise against all of our own crewmates."

"So what?! We could take 'em! Me and Luis here could wipe the floor with 'em without breaking a damned sweat--"

"Need I remind you some of us don't care for blood drenching the walls," Fox barked before Hound could work himself into a lather, the doctor still patting Luis. "We've fought. We've run. It's damned exhausting and doesn't damn well fix a thing! We run, get chased, get caught, kill, then run again. I for one am tired of the loop! Khan and John have been able to at least talk to the captain of this ship without getting us turned over to be weaponized of dissected. So we are going to sit, try this out, and rip out guts only when Khan gives the say-so, got it?"

Hound grumbled, kicking (and breaking) a chair before sitting next to Luis on the bed (making the bed dip a bit) before heavily sighing and giving Luis a light pat on the back. "... We'll get 'em even if the human Captian doesn't want to turn 'em over kid, don't you worry."

Fox sighed. "Shut up, Hound."

"You shut up, you damned Fox."

*

Spock looked perfectly innocent as Kirk turned and looked at him at the comment, and followed the captain right up to the bridge before going to his own station and barely able to hide a smile. Though, it wasn't long before Scotty himself came up for a rare personal appearance on the bridge, coming to turn in a list of engineers to be matched with a list of guards and commenting on how well the Enterprise was shaping up when he noticed Kirk's ... wiggling. "Oi Capt'n, you get nailed good or are ye just really needin a wee?" Of course the Scotsman was as blunt and forward as ever.

Luis leaned slightly into the patting, quite liking it, before he just sighed and shook his head. The two were arguing about getting back at the people who did this and for once Luis didn't even really care, he just didn't care, because this time he really had done nothing but hurt his own people. He hadn't touched anyone and he doubted he looked like he could hurt anyone so he just didn't understand how he ended up being the one to be abused like this. Luis winced at the pat on his back, silently wondering if there was still some metal lurking away inside his stomach, while he listened to the two bicker. After some time of not much talking on his part Luis said he was tired and decided that he should head to his own room.

**

Jim looked up at Scotty when he came in and took the list from him, unable to sit still, but froze instantly when the other spoke. He could feel the heat running up his neck and into his face, suddenly all eyes on him, but he was very quick about keeping his composure before he looked up at Scotty. "Is that really an appropriate question to be asked on the bridge Mr. Scott?" Jim looked down at the list, going over the names, then nodded "Check the cameras in the cargo bay over the past week during each persons shift. Run it through the recognition software and should they come up bring them to me and no Khan first. I would like to know what a member of my own crew was thinking before anything to rash happens. We may just end up beaming them onto a federation outpost once we pass one by should they not meet and unfortunate fate in the mean time." Jim sighed.

"Not to say I won't have them guarded and protected but the actions taken were against and innocent bystander for all we know and it was very violent." Jim nodded and Uhura pulled up a few files to start going over. "Captain should we contact Krell? The pods are ready to be transported over." Jim thought about that for a moment then he nodded. "Yes. We will tell him those are the pods we have that we can send over but we would need him to come over personally and sign off on the others. Can't sign it all away so soon. Once here we will take him into custody and should his first officer object we will happily remind the crew of the other ship that all admirals are currently under investigation due to the Khan incident and should they object to strongly we may think they were aware of the admirals participation." Jim grinned a bit at that, there was a reason his plans always worked.

The screen popped up and Jim relayed the information to Krell who seemed none to pleased but willing either way. "I expect to see Khan's body when I board your ship James." Jim grit his teeth, the way the other said his name… the tilt of his name reminded Jim so much of someone else that he wanted to puke. The screen went black and Jim took a deep breath "I can't wait to get this over with. Come on Spock." Jim headed for the turbolift and then made his way to the transporter bay to wait for the admiral.

Jim waited beside Spock and when Krell materialized something seemed off, he seemed to familiar to Jim, Jim ignored it though and stepped forward. Just as quickly security personnel had Krell and were leading him off the transporter pad. "You are under arrest for several counts of torture and criminal misconduct Admiral Krell. What do you have to say for yourself?" Krell stared at Jim then a grin twisted his face "It was good to see you again James… so very good." Jim stilled, stuttered, then motioned for Krell to be taken before he just stood and stared at the far wall. He was dazed, completely dazed, because that wasn't the voice from the video and Jim felt sick, so very sick. Jim couldn’t move though, not even an inch, his feet were planted and he felt sick before he realized his heart was pounding and his hands were shaking.

Jim gave out a low chuckle, thinking about all the different reactions he thought he would have, this wasn't one of them. It was worse, this blind panic, it was so much worse to be blindly panicking and not know because that man… that man had done such horrible things and Jim had thought he would never had to see him again. "Spock… looks like we were both wrong. The federation has more secrets than I thought… we just took Kodos into custody."

Fox and Hound quieted at once, Fox standing and walking Luis to the door. "You need anything, you know where to find me--"

"And me!"

"--so don't be shy." The older man gave Luis a little smile, before letting the other go on his way.

By the time Luis returned, Fletcher had apparently finished his short nap or found the scarf insufficient enough to make everything 'dark' enough for him to sleep. Either way Fletcher was up and fiddling with a pad he'd found and was currently researching the fall of the tobacco companies with a softly disgruntled look on his usually expressionless face.

*

"Do yee usually answer a question witha question capt'n?" Scotty returned, chipper and not really expecting a straight answer at this point. He nodded at the orders and went off to go look over the camera footage, not caring how Kirk spent his free time. He'd mostly been joking, but hey if Kirk was that defensive about it ... well, the engineer just shrugged in the turbolift and hurried to the security station to get at that footage.

Spock was glad to hear regulations would at least be followed in the matter of taking care of the individuals who had done the extremely dangerous and unethical act on one of Khan's crew, having been feeling, well, uneasy at the thought of handing over the Admiral to Khan. It was logical to detain the man, most definitely, but Jim's earlier words hung heavily on the Vulcan's mind, though right now Spock was focused on just staying close to Jim's side as they went down to the teleporter room to meet the Admiral. With accompanying security, of course.

Krell's reaction was, to Spock, entirely illogical. But he stayed with Jim, highly worried--though most wouldn't know it just by looking--at the other's clear emotional disturbance at the man's simple words before the prisoner was led away. The Vulcan grabbed Jim's upper arm securely, as if to try to help steady the other where he stood; Jim looking like he'd gotten hit by a ton of bricks. What Kirk said made Spock freeze up himself a moment, emotions unreadable but likely not very positive thoughts before gently giving Jim's arm a squeeze. "... We will need to proceed very delicately, Captain." He couldn't grab ahould of Jim and hawl the other back to the Captain's quarters and just hide him there until the danger blew over like he deeply wanted to; they were the Captain and First Officer of this vessel. They had their jobs; though in this situation Spock was sure it would be much better to have Jim not dealing with the prisoner any further beyond this point.

"If the Federation has been infiltrated to that point; for so long; we will need to be very careful with how we report back ... and we will need to report back. Before those on ... 'Admiral Krells' ship do before us."

Luis, being who he was, when he came back and noticed that the other was no longer sleeping and instead researching something he decided to take a not so sneaky approach to looking. He wasn't one for personal space, less movement room for someone who mainly used guns meant he was an advantage should said person get angry, so instead he just oh so 'gracefully' draped himself over the other's shoulders and stared at what he was doing. He was silent for a few long moments, reading the information, before he sighed. "Nicotine addictions can be hard to kick." Luis leaned over, entering a few things into the screen before some seemingly random information came up and Luis nodded before pulling away. "You shouldn't worry about it. I am sure you can find some sort of substitute for the moment." Luis patted the others back then went to the bed and laid down to try and get some sleep.

**

Jim looked to Spock for stability, a place where he wouldn’t fall apart, and just like he knew the other would Spock guided him in the proper direction. Jim stood a bit straighter at the others words, his hands pulling at his uniform as if he straight out his frayed nerves with the material, before he was quickly turning and heading for the bridge. "Let us go speak with the other ship. Hopefully they are no parties in this and they will allow us to carry on as we see fit but should it come down to it…" Jim stilled for a moment then hit his comm to ring down to Scotty. "Get our girl up for running speed. I want to be ready just in case." Continued walking, limp forgotten, and while to everyone else he would look stable he knew Spock could see the way he wavered.

Jim wanted to do something he had never thought of before, he wanted to kill Kodos, he wanted to kill the man now that he was in his grasp and he was having to hold back a great deal so that he wouldn’t do it. Jim stepped onto the bridge and motioned to the view screen, Uhura instantly coming the other ship, Jim sat in his chair just as the other men came up and stared at a rather mousey looking man who was currently in charge of the ship. "The admiral has been taken into custody for crimes against the federation… do you men have any idea who was really running your ship?" The man on the screen seemed outraged and confused "What crimes? You do not have the autho-" Jim held up his hand to silence the other man.

"This man you referred to as Admiral Krell is actually a man named Kodos, I am sure you have heard something of him, He has undergone a great many changes but you cannot change blood. We have taken him into custody not only because he is a criminal on that standard but it is under the assumption that he worked with Marcus because he is the only one to have come after Khan and his crew. Now I give you two options… say nothing and find a safe port to station yourself while issues are sorted and WE can bring this to the federation through proper channels and trusted officials… or try and blast it then go against not only the federation but her flagship." The man on the screen was very silent, the rage gone, and then he leaned back and sighed. "Alright… Alright we'll go find a port to station at while this is sorted out. With all the troubles in the federation I don't want to test it." Jim nodded then the com turned off.

"Uhura were you monitoring there systems?" She nodded and then sent Jim what had been sent out. "They said that everything was fine in the system and all the eugens had died due to malfunctions in pods." Jim sighed in relief and leaned back in his seat at the momentary calm. "Monitor their transmissions for now, they don't look like they are going anywhere at the moment, we will stay put here while the cosmetic work is done and we receive some supplies but then I will send in for us to receive our orders for that five year mission while we are out. Better to have us moving with who is on our ship… for now we will just keep Kodos in lock up. No one is allowed to go down there and if any of your do so find your self's curious I will have you detained to your rooms for an indeterminate amount of time."

Jim stood, knowing the punishment sounded harsh, but he knew what Kodos could make someone think and everything that the man had on Jim… He was probably tormenting cupcake and the other security watching him. "Good work everyone, feel free to take a small break after all this…madness, just be ready for when we get moving." Jim nodded then headed off the bridge because he needed to just be away from people so he could properly have a break down. Jim found Spock the most secure thing when the other followed him down because Jim wasn't going to break down crying, not yet anyway, and just having the stability that Spock gave him was enough to just have him able hold it together and not run down and kill Kodos.

For the first time ever though this turmoil wasn't comforted with sex and when Spock did try offering Jim pulled the other onto the bed only to wrap around him and just… be silent and still. Let his mind be silent and still in a way that most people would think was impossible for Jim. They didn't have much time to talk before Jim was asleep, the peace easing him faster than he would have ever thought, so the conversation would have to be brought up in the morning when they both woke up.

** The next morning**

Hamish was… wanting. He had left Chekov to get some sleep when he saw the other leave the bridge early and now he was doing something he really shouldn’t be doing. He was waiting outside the others room for him to emerge so that they could talk, or go watch movies, since he didn't have a shift that day because he was wanting of the others company and that was a rare thing for him. Hamish was bouncing a ball against the wall in the hall, all the way across and back, just trying to distract himself as he threw it. Then he heard the door open and he jumped to his feet to see Chekov standing there and he smiled at the other widely.

"I am sorry, about yesterday, we had some problems so I needed to stay with my family but I want to… be together today? Is that the right way to say it? Do people say hang out?... Will you watch some movies with me?" Hamish smiled widely at Chekov, hoping the other would say yes, then gently grabbed the others wrist. He raised an eyebrow while waiting for an answer because as Chekov knew Hamish would start singing "do you wanna build a snow man" only instead it would be "Do you wanna watch some movies?" Because he had done it before…

**

Luis had awoken soon after falling asleep, getting enough rest for his usual sleep schedule, and then he was gone without a word to go see if he could find something. He wouldn’t be needing Van's help for this, in fact, he liked the idea of him being the only one able to find this specific item. He searched for a while and pulled strings most of the night before he finally found what he was looking for and then he was on a mission to hide what he had found all accept for a small amount. He knew that there had to be some laying around, no way there wasn't, something like that just doesn’t go away completely.

Finally Luis stepped into his and Fletchers room, found the other, and was very forward about sitting in the others lap and then grinning at him. "I have something for you… a sort of thank you for the whole stopping me thing… sort of." Luis stared at the other, straddling his lap and able to look him right in the eyes, before he pulled out a pack of cigarettes. Of course when Fletcher grabbed for them Luis held them back and out of his grasp. He leaned in real close, lips just barely brushing the others throat, before he gave a firm bite. "I said it was a sort of thank you." He chuckled then handed the other the pack and slid off his lap. "Do try not to kill anyone will you? I know that was a mean tease but I had no intention of keeping them away from you. Enjoy your smokes." Luis knew that the other could have full well just killed him to get the cigarettes but then again Luis was the only one who knew where the supply came directly from.

Fletcher turned his eyes towards Luis as the other male slid right on up to him before Luis just draped his handsome body over the silent sniper. Fletcher did not tense or relax, he simply remained as he was before Luis had put his arms around him, and the Adonis-like male fiddled with the screen to look at a few things. “...” Of course 'should not' was not an order, so Fletcher wasn't about to stop looking over the reasons for the loss of his one few wants. Though he hardly felt he was 'worrying', despite what Luis said. The suggestion to try to find some replacement had Fletcher thinking as Luis pat his back before walking away. The sniper cleared off the apparent 'nonsense' Luis had pulled up on his screen before trying to look up some decent substitutions to smoking. One was working out, and Fletcher passed that option by; he doubted physical exertion was a good solution. Khan tended to use plenty of physical exertion when stressed and that hardly seemed to help him. Taking extra leisure time was another suggestion which Fletcher graced with an eye roll before looking down the list to see meditation was also recommended. Nope; he was not the sitting around and thinking type; unless he was thinking of how to get someone dead, that is. And in this current situation Fletcher highly doubted he would have the chance to pull of a murder of any sort.

Perhaps if he'd been allowed access to some live weaponry and target range this loss would not be so bad. The fulfilling feeling of feeling the hard knock-back of bullets as they left the chamber, the symphony of fired rounds, the sight of a target as they felt the small punch of unexpected momentum as the bullet entered their body. The moment of them standing, dead on their feet, before gravity took them down.

Somehow the shooting range fantasy had turned into the fantasy of an actual hit job, though Fletcher did not dislike the shift. As collected and calm a eugen he was, he was still a predator. And if the taste of smoke was not in his lungs, the taste for blood rose up. It was simply one of his needs; not too strong a need, not one of the big three, but one nonetheless.

When the next suggestion came to be as ludicrous as 'interior designing' to apparently help him get over the loss of his smokes Fletcher turned off the screen and just sat there a few moments, drumming his nails against the table as Luis slept. And it seemed by the time Fletcher had thought out a possible 'substitution' for smoking Luis was already waking up and leaving. Fletcher left as well, not caring what Luis did with his time.

The sniper walked near-silently through the halls, absorbing facts of this new time through observing the civilians and security around as he went from his room to the cafeteria, to the rec room, and wandering aimlessly after that before returning to the room. With a wad of gum in his mouth, Fletcher chewed unhappily. No, no no. Not like smoking at all; it didn't work. He spat the wad of pink gum at the wall, hitting the dead-center of some pretty holo-picture and making the image fizz a bit where the gum was now sticking through, stuck firmly to the wall behind the projected image of some woodlands and farm fence stretching across the horizon. Fletcher glanced at the time, and wondered what to do now. No orders, none of his usual pastimes were present to distract himself with. Fletcher sat down on the bed, contemplating sleeping to pass the time ... when Luis walked in, and plopped himself on the sniper's lap.

Fletcher tilted his head as the other stated he was giving him a 'sort of thank you', the killer wondering what the slaughterer meant by that. The pack of cigarettes caught Fletcher's attention immediately even with Luis gazing at him, like a hawk zeroing in an a fat, limping rabbit. He reached to grab it, but Luis was quicker. For a millisecond, as Luis held the thing he very much wanted out of reach, Fletcher contemplated snapping the other's neck for it. It was a baser thought; and if he had not been as well trained as he had been the reflex would've become reality. Like a poorly-trained bird eating of it's own kill, tasting blood and freedom, spreading its wings and flying off into the distance, never to return. But Fletcher was well trained, and wanted more than just one pack, so he simple sat staring with his cold piercing eyes into Luis's wild orbs until the wolf leaned in close to his neck, and bit. The pain was sharp, but not deadly. Fletcher knew what lethal force felt like. This was something else, this was ...

He tilted his head and held the smokes in one hand; his other reaching up to rub at the n** that would likely leave a pink mark for five seconds more below his beard. What an odd thing for the earth to do something like that to a creature like him. Fletcher did not understand why the insane male wanted to thank him in this way or even continue to hang around him, but decided not to question the facts when most straightforward thinking would not help with ferreting out an answer. "... There is no 'try'. I either will, or I won't." Fletcher opened up the pack, pulling out one smoke before standing up and walking over to a wall panel and opening it up to grab two wires; ripping the protective coating off of them and rubbing them together to create sparks, and igniting a strip of torn paper from some dusty notepad ... and then using that fire to properly light his cigarette.

Fletcher took a long drag of the cigarette, eyes closing and looking almost like a man taking his first breath of fresh air in a long while, before letting out the smoke in a long, slow exhale. Fletcher looked ... more comfortable now, like a hawk with its ruffled feathers smoothing. Though Fletcher never lost his cool ... that didn't mean the risk of him killing under stress was necessarily low when his 'needs' were unmet. "I don't enjoy anything," he replied simply to Luis, whips of smoke dancing off of his tongue before he took another long drag, savoring the taste of smoke and death.

Spock woke before Jim, though he didn't wake the captain just yet. The Vulcan lay there, sitting up and looking down at Jim, mind having been very busy ever sense the day before and the following ... events. He and Jim had no place to be, with the bridge crew on 'leave' unless something should arise, but Spock was fairly certain Jim was likely to want to confront Kodos. Which the Vulcan also knew was the last thing that should be done; Kodos had been the one to give Kirk most his scars; the visible and not visible ones. The probability of the man being able to undermine Kirk's mental stability was alarmingly high, especially seeing how just knowing who the man really was had affected Jim.

So, Spock lightly shook Kirk's shoulder, determined. "Captain," he began once the other was awake, but he had no chance to speak his mind, because Kirk's comm was beeping for attention. Disgruntled but not without patience, the Vulcan let Kirk answer ... and regretted his lenience quickly.

"Captain," a much different voice said, "I believe you have one end of a bargain to live up to." Ah, yes. Jim had promised Khan could have at the Admiral, hadn't he. Khan did not sound very patient.

Chekov was covering a yawn as he opened his room door, only to get suprised by Hamish sitting right outside. "O-oh, goodmorning," the Russian said around his yawn before it finished, and blinked at Hamish's apology and explanation. Chekov slowly smiled, rubbing one eye. "Yea, yea, let us hang out and watch some mowies," he chuckled before the other could start singing, holding up one finger. "But first, breakfast. You and I can split some pancakes," he said, slipping his wrist out of the other's grip so he could hold Hamish's hand a moment, just grinning up at the teller male before walking towards the cafeteria. "What mowies were you zinking of seeing? I heard zat zere are a bunch of comic-book mowies; mowies all connecting together a little bit and really coming tgether in a few films. Marwel moweis," Chekov explained as they arrived at the cafeteria, ready to order himself a heaping plate of pancakes to share with Hamish, knowing the other didn't usually eat much.

Luis watched the other take a few drags from the cigarette, obviously relaxing with every puff, before rolling his eyes. Of course the other would say that, the man certainly acted as such, Luis knew though that the other had a few things he actually enjoyed and smoking was one of them. "Don't lie. It's unbecoming of someone of you caliber. You don't need to lie, people like us really don't need to, so don’t because your actions betray your words quite easily." Luis started looking around the room and throwing a few things all over the place, looking for something to do, before he started pulling apart a few chairs. "In my opinion if you enjoy something don't hide it because as long as you don't enjoy it to much it's not a problem… Did you get to the section of the cigarettes where they tried electric cigarettes?" Luis pulled out all the tools he had found around and started pulling combining a few pieces of metal and just kind of screwing around with what he had.

**

Jim was still relatively out when Khan commed, having been floating toward the surface of wakefulness, when the voice pulled him completely to the surface. Jim huffed a bit and leaned over Spock to grab the comm before speaking into it. "We will have to wait some time on that Khan. I have some question to ask this Krell and I need him undamaged before I have them answer." Jim sat up, the sheets falling off his mostly naked form, and he waited for a reply. "I am not saying you will not get what you want, I will be the last person to stop you at the moment, but I need to find out about the others he was working with and unfortunately I know this man… the only thing pain will do is turn him on." Jim wanted to bite back the words after they left his mouth but he couldn’t take anything back so instead he just took a deep breath and then ended the call.

Jim looked to Spock, knowing they would have a rather displeased eugen to deal with, but he also knew that the other wouldn’t want him to speak to Kodos. He had to though… the man wouldn’t answer to anyone else, Jim knew that, but Spock wouldn’t quite understand why Jim was running off to speak to Kodos. "I know you don't like it but I need to speak to him… alone. I don't want to but he won't talk to anyone else."

**

Hamish grinned at Chekov, gladly holding onto the others hand, he didn't even care that passerby's would stare at the two of them. He figured that the crew would have gotten used to the sight of them together by now but it seems that they hadn't. Hamish couldn’t figure out what was so odd about the two of them but then again if Hamish wanted to he could very easily rip Chekov limb from limb. That was a horrible thought, he instantly hated that thought, Hamish blocked that thought as he heard Chekov say something about Marvel movies and the slight down turn of his mood instantly picked back up.

"I want to watch the Marvel movies! I loved super heroes as a kid, they were amazing, we should watch that and get some food." Hamish rushed Chekov along so that they could eat what they were getting of course by share some pancakes it always seemed to be Hamish ending up with a giant plate of just buttered pancakes and strawberries happily munching away. Hamish ate quickly compared to Chekov, or anyone else for that matter, but it didn't matter much to him because at least he had food.

Hamish waited patiently for Chekov to eat though before they were both stowing away to their special room with all the marvel movies and Hamish was curled up against Chekov again. It was his favorite place to be and it was rather amazing that someone so tall could fit into such a small space.

Fletcher blinked, turning his cool eyes towards the wolf as the other began tearing things in their room apart, like a puppy gnawing boredly on the furniture legs. "... I am content with my smokes," he said sternly, as if 'enjoyment' were a dirty thing to accuse him of; too much or not. Or even having feelings as such was so impossible the other was stupid to even suggest Fletcher had such things. But the man only sighed as Luis brought up the electronic 'atrocities'. "From what I read it was just glorified nicotine gum. What good is a smoke without the tar, an' the taste of death and chemicals? No good at all," he said, taking a thankful breath of the cigarette he had inbetween his fingers now. He didn't question how the hell Luis had gotten ahold of a pack just yet; right now he just wanted to enjoy his-- ... AHEM. Be content with his need fulfilled.

Fletcher walked over to look over Luis's shoulder, just smoking and watching the other break things apart only to put them back together again in different ways. "What are you doing?” It was less actual interest and more wanting to change the subject to something away from his need for a smoke.

Khan frowned at Jim's reply, not exactly keen on waiting any longer than he already had. "I do hope you realize delaying my due is not entirely a wise decision," he remarked dryly, only to blink at Kirk's explanation. Oh ... so the Captain knew Krell; knew him quite well indeed. Just how did that come about? Khan looked at the comm in his hand after Kirk had hung up, pondering. Krell didn't exactly make his hobbies or ... masochism and sadism public knowledge. The only ones that knew such things were some of the man's superiors and ... Krell's playthings. Interesting; it did not take a genius to figure which one of those Kirk was likely to be. But that was so how had Kirk come to survive and come to be a Captain--

Ah. Khan nodded to himself, a piece clicking into place. So that was it. Oh, this changed quite a few things, and made the current situation ... possibly precarious. Khan pocketed his comm and went to his and John's room, aiming to speak to the other when he saw the doctor was plugging away at ... something or another. Khan walked over, aiming to look over John's shoulder to see what the other had made himself busy with this time.

*

Spock sat up, frown on his face. "Don't like it? Captain that is possibly one of the least logical proposals I've ever heard you put forward. There is hardly any need to speak with him, let alone for you to be left alone with him--" the Vulcan's tone was borderline angry; mostly because he'd felt the scars, and seen Kirk on the edge of breakdown just finding out Krell was Kodos. Allowing Kirk to be alone with that ... well, Spock was completely against it, that was obvious enough.

*

Chekov held back chuckles as he ate, used to Hamish's woofing down of food by now, though the Russian himself took his time getting his pancakes down; not that he was exactly a slow eater. "Plus, there are many many Marwel mowies to watch! We will probsbly not be able to finish zem all today, but we can get through many of zem!" Chekov said, chugging down his glass of orange juice once he'd finished with his half of the pancakes and stood from the table, putting their tray away on the washing station.

"Super heros are much fun! You know, you remind me a little of one, too," Chekov told Hamish with a smile as the two of them settled in to watch the first film: Iron Man. "You hawe a special power too, and everyzing." The Russian did not mind Chekov curled against him; he even liked it. Even though Hamish was taller than him, and could do quite amazing things, Chekov still felt protective of the other male, and enjoyed being able to hold Hamish close. Hamish seemed almost cat-like in his ability to fit where he wished, no matter what most common sense said otherwise.

Some time during their leisure though, Chekov got an idea. Taking Hamish's hand, he moved the other's limb close to his face, so he could give the other a Butterfly kiss, smiling mischievously and wondering what Hamish's reaction might be.

Luis didn't mind the other coming around to watch what he was doing, having a good idea that the man was using this as a subject change, and he just shifted so Fletcher could get a better look. He wasn't a scientist like the others, or a mechanic like Hamish was now, but he could fashion a great many things out of metal and a few other objects. He was a good designer of certain things and with all the technology laying around Luis had an idea that he could make something rather…. Fun. "I am making something… can't tell you what quite yet but you will see it when I am done." Luis grinned then grabbed a spare pad that was laying around and started taking that apart as well.

**

Jim got off the bed, running his hands over his arms, he wasn't an idiot. He knew how bad this all was but they needed to know more about the others and Kodos would speak to Jim, he would give to Jim what he wouldn’t give to others, Kodos had a sick… affection for him and Jim knew that. He knew how to manipulate that, to twist it, make promises and do things he wouldn’t usually do to get what he needed from the man. "Spock I don't want to do this anymore than you want me to but he will not speak with anyone else." Jim started pulling out his clothes to get dressed.

"He found me the most interesting on Tarsus, made me a special project of his, he has a sort of sick fascination with me and I learned how to abuse that to get what I wanted. I have learned very well that my comfort often means nothing in the case of doing what is right and this needs to be done. We are still members of Starfleet and we are obligated to do what we can for the betterment of the fleet and those in the fleet. If that means me needing to talk to a mad man then that's what it means. We have to find out who is still corrupt in the fleet." Jim ignored the way his gut twisted at all of that.

**

John was fiddling away, quite pleased with himself, because it seemed that his previous concoctions that hadn't worked were now working and… well he was happy to say he wasn't too far off from making another little Holmes. John wasn't going to decide a gender, he would let that all go its own way, most of the genetics would decide on their own, but he found the combinations that were working. He had been trying far too hard before, making it all to complicated, it was easier with the new technology. He had just finished a few calculations when he heard Khan come into the room and he decided it would be best to switch to something else.

Of course the only other thing that John had open was a picture he was drawing of a child with reddish hair and his blue eyes. It was a factor John kept forgetting when running through his calculations… Mycroft had reddish brown hair, mostly brown, and John had several members in his family much the same. He had figured the genetics were in there that they could end up with a kid with reddish hair, probably more strawberry blond, and it wouldn’t seem to odd. Darker colors were more common but John liked the idea… He decided to just continue drawing the toddler instead of taking real notice of Khan, if the other needed him he would say so.

**

Hamish sat curled up with Chekov watching the first Iron man and completely invested in the story at first. During the next movie though he wavered a bit on his attention before he felt Chekov grab his hand and then do something… odd. Hamish stared at his hand then up at Chekov before looking back at his hand "What… was that?" Hamish knew what kisses were, he had seen Khan and John kiss plenty of times recently, but something like that was odd. He knew what lips to lips meant but he didn't know what the gesture that Chekov just commited meant. It was very, very, odd and Hamish didn't quite know what to do or say beside be curious.

He knew a few intimate things, he wasn't a complete fool, but Hamish only knew the very basics of everything. Well except the few obscure things he knew about with touching but that was something he had learned just before he was in his pod from a good friend who wanted him to know some affection so he wouldn’t be quite so angry with the universe.

Fletcher's head tilted to the side, and he stood there over Luis watching silently a few moments before he sat down in a chair instead, more comfortably just watching Luis make ... whatever it was. Cigarette held lightly in his lips, Fletcher cross his arms and sighed. "If ya make somethin' that'll cause trouble, I'll likely get put ta work," he stated in a flat tone, though it was clear enough the rugged man just wanted to perch and smoke for as long as humanly possible with no interruptions. And Luis making something to go on a rampage with would count as a 'disruption' because more than likely the sniper would get dragged on over to play damage control like when Luis had woken hurt and freaking out.

*

The Vulcan got up as well, gathering his own things and silently getting dressed. "That is ... Logical," Spock said flatly, but before Jim could hurry off to go get himself hurt the Vulcan took hold of Jim's upper arm. Because there was no way Jim would just sacrifice his 'comfort' in there; Kirk was going to have his state of mind grabbed and shaken around like a jar full of small glass baubles and information gathering or not, Spock hated it, knowing how Jim was going to feel just seeing that man, let alone talking to him. "... You don't have to do this Jim. Talking isn't the only way to get information."

Spock wasn't talking just about torture either. As a Vulcan, he had certain quirks; such as the ability to mind-meld. Though ... the biggest problem with that option was from what Spock could tell from his short time seeing Krell/Kodos the man was far from healthy mentally. And mind-melding with someone that twisted inside-- ... well. The risk was higher than the chance of success. So the proposal was not made for logical reasons, but for the chance to spare Kirk the mental pain he would likely suffer from talking information out of Kodos.

*

"... What are you doing?" Khan asked with a hint of rare bewilderment in his voice; and asking a rare question, though it wasn't like John often answered his rare questions either. Like his middle name for instance; that had taken quite a bit of digging to get at on Sherlock's part. John had kept his artistic habits secret enough for long enough that there were not enough pieces to know what was 'usual' or 'unusual' for John to draw, but this seemed odd enough. What use would John have for drawing a random child? Some more normal people might get the hind, but of course Khan looked in all the wrong places when it came to little things like this.

*

Chekov smiled in his bright, knowing way before asking: "Dis?" and fluttering his eyelashes against Hamish's hand again. "Oh, is a kiss. A butterfly kiss; as if a butterfly had landed on your hand. There are many different kinds of kisses besides just touching lips, you know. How about I show you a few more?" Chekov proposed, and before Hamish could protest, the Russian was already lightly brushing his lips against where his eyelashes had been. "This is more of a, hmm, 'chiwalric' kiss. Like a knight to a lady, in storybooks," Chekov explained. And then the Russian was shifting, lightly turning Hamish a bit so they were facing one another, though Hamish was still largely on the Russian's lap.

The brown haired Russian moved his face close to Hamish's, eyes locked onto the other's and lightly rubbed their noses before grinning. "Zat is an Eskimo kiss. It is done in cold places, where people keep most everything covered from winter's bite."
