However, I don't wish to be one of the many soldiers that dies in bloodshed only to be forgotten a year later." It was a natural fact that Shinobi dropped like flies. Jeyan felt that he was smart enough and talented enough to make a longstanding impact on Kumogakure's history. He didn't want to become a statistic. "I wish to become an Oinin, and eventually an ANBU Black Op." He didn't need the gratitude or stress that came with being a Kage. He would have been better suited to protect his home from behind the scenes where success was all the thanks he needed. He didn't expect to be told no. He did expect the test to become an Oinin operative to be one of the most difficult things he would ever take on, though.

Is, not what it used to be. A drawer slid open on the desk, and the clone reached into it, grabbing a single scroll from it's depths. "Here. If you truly with to be an Oinin, then there is no better test than a trial by fire."

The clone split now, forming 2 perfect clones of the Raikage. "Naturally, I will be observing from afar, and will step in if I deem the situation permeits or dictates it. You are to read the contents of that scroll, hunt down the target in it, and return the head of that shinobi and that scroll to the Oinin office in the village. Do you accept this mission?"

((Basically just make up a mission where you hunt some dude down, should be like 2000-5000 words in length for the total mission, and it can start with you reading the scroll.))

Jeyan was almost eccstatic. But he refrained from allowing his emotions to get the best of him, especially with his Oinin mission looming over the distance. He approached the Raikage and extended his arm, collecting the scroll from her desk. He would open it and read it's content when he was at the Gates of Kumogakure, assuming the target was outside of the village somewhere. The Chuunin gave a bow to the Raikage and exited.

The Raikage clones fused back together as the real Raikage entered the building. She waved to the clone, instructing it to monitor the progress of the young Hyuuga. She collapsed in the chair behind her desk, resting her hat on the table. How many days had passed since she had been ordered by the village council to take up the mantle of Raikage? Looking back, Toshiko still wasn't sure if she was ready for such a level of responsibility. What would she do if the village was attacked at this very moment? Could she beat back whatever was attacking and save the village if it came to it?

She spun in her chair, and paced over to the window, looking out over the village. She placed her palm on the glass, thinking silently to herself.

There was a soft knock as the door. A young boy stood on the other side with very odd hair. His deep blue eyes gazed aimlessly into the door as if somehow able to see through it. "I suppose I should come here. I just graduated the academy so I should stop by to get some sort of assignment from the kage." Raiken thought in an aimless tone awaiting to be granted entrance so that he could begin his journey and achieve his goal.

Toshiko removed her palm from the glass, returning to her seat when she heard a faint knock echo from the other side. *sigh* The work of a kage is never really over is it? She took her seat, and spoke in a voice loud enough to be heard outside, but still seemed gentle and inviting. "Enter"

The door opened and Raiken strode through his eyes bolting around to almost every corner of the room before focusing in the kage. "Oh a woman... didn't see that coming." Raiken mused as he entered he looked upon the kage his eyes revealing an insatiable curiosity. The boy was peculiarly dressed but then again this boy was a peculiar one. "Good day, my name is Raiken Ikuza." Raiken said dipping his head slightly to show his respect to the raikage. "I am here to see if there is anything you need me to do before beginning my training I am here." Raiken stated awaiting a response. Raiken wasn't normally this formal but he did not know much about his kage and did not wish to step on any toes before even receiving his first task for the village he wished to serve.

"I had never really looked into who the raikage was. I would be lying if I said I was expecting a woman, but that will not change how I see you." Raiken said with a very playful smile. His tone was not disrespectful but one of playfulness. Raiken couldn't help but be carefree and playful it was his nature since he could remember. He still respected the raikage but would not change who he was no matter who he was in front of. "Very well then, I have no problem training by myself." Raiken said almost pleased at the notion to get to work in peace. It would be faster that way in his mind. Perhaps not in reality but this boy was young and ignorant in more than one way.

"I specialize in metal." Raiken said in an excited tone. Metal was the thing he loved most, it was all he was good at and could not wait to begin learning more techniques from his clan! His goal was to be the strongest metal user in the world and he intended to reach it no matter what.

I make it a habit to learn about every person in my village, before ever I meet them." She raised her hand and a small metal container rose out of the drawer in her desk, turning into Iron Sand that reformed itself into a kunai in midair. "If you ever with to really learn the true limits of our clan, come back to me, but for now, go and train, and I will find you if I need you for a mission young one."

Raikens eyes widened a bit in surprise when she said she was a jiton user as well. What were the odds? A smirk crept across Raikens face in excitement now knowing there was someone who could teach him all he needed to know about their clan. "You are correct, of that clan and another. As I am sure you are aware." Raiken said slyly knowing the Kage had almost every detail on him she could desire to know.

"I will be sure to do that." Raiken said knowing he would take Toshiko up on her offer in time. Raiken turned and raised his left arm as he strode out signaling a goodbye to the new kage knowing the two would see each other again.

The Assassin had made his way throughout the village and towards the Raikage's office after completing a couple of missions. He had been doing enough to be capable of finally achieving his Chuunin rank as well as getting in his needed amount of new techniques. It was time he asked the Raikage for some form of higher duties. A squad? Oinin? He wouldn't know till he asked but did not care about which he was placed in.
The Kaguya knocked gently upon the door before deciding to simply walk in after an assistant gave him a reassuring nod. Stepping through the threshold he looked up to see a Raikage he was not familiar with, nor was expecting to see. Truth be told, he did not expect the leader of Kumogakure to be a female.
Nonetheless, he did not doubt the strength of his leader. Especially if it were her that everyone would&could possible go to for advice. The sixteen year old cleared his throat before speaking as proper as he could muster. "Excuse me, Mi'lady. I would not happen to be intruding upon anything important, would you?"

She placed it atop one of the many stacks of paper that covered her desk and the ground around it. "No, I welcome any excuse to not have to deal with this mountain of paperwork. Don't just stand in the doorway, come in, you aren't intruding on anything. Is there something you need?" Truth be told, most people who stopped in her office wanted one thing or another. Looking at his forehead, she was reassured that it wasn't another new shinobi hoping to get a headband.

He hesitated. "No ma'am. There is not a thing to do, to tell you the truth. I was just looking for something to keep me rather.." He paused for a moment as he thought of a word, "Occupied. Possibly,,,a squad? I am a Chuunin so.." He sat for a moment and merely admired the Raikage herself. She deserved this rank, didn't she? "I am willing to follow any order you see best suited for me to fulfill." He really was a bit, scattered brain, when it came to just exactly what he wanted to do with his ninja life.

xxxxxToshiko stared hard at the boy for a moment, sizing him up. She slowly began to ponder all the possible things that she could assign the boy to do, but quickly found it necessary to cut down the number of options. "I can't very well assign you to a specific task without first knowing your specialties and other traits." It was an honest answer. There were a myriad of tasks that needed to be compeleted and slots that had to be filled one way or another. Without knowing more about the young chuunin standing before her, she had little clue what task he would preform best at. Her eyes turned towards the mountains of paperwork, and thoughts of turning him into a paperboy flashed across her mind for a second as she waited for him to speak.
