"Seeing anyone?" Jounouchi repeated blinking, then laughed, "Oh, no. All the girls at my school hate me except Anzu. And dating her would be like dating my sister." he said, shivering slightly at the thought. He walked over to Malik, holding the bowl of chips, waiting for him to finish his arranging, "What about you? Have a girlfriend back in Egypt or anything?"

"What?! They hate you?" Malik exclaimed, slightly taken aback. "Well, I can't see why they'd hate you! You seem nice enough, and you aren't bad looking at all." Malik paused, concentrating on the plates for a moment, " Anyway, I don't have a girlfriend either."

Jounouchi laughed, "It's because I used to be a bully, and I was really obnoxious and disliked. They probably don't hate me as much as they used to, but I doubt that'll ever go away. After I became friends with Yuugi, he turned me around and I wasn't a jerk anymore, but I guess I was still obnoxious and a pervert." he shrugged, "Who know's, maybe I still am? What's important though, is that Anzu is the only girl at my school who tolerates me. And that's probably just because she was already friends with Yuugi when I became friends with him." he then paused for a moment, recalling what else Malik had said, "And I'm not bad-looking?" he asked blinking, then laughed again, "Well that's surprising. I always thought I was a mess to look at. Don't really care though." he looked over at Malik grinning, "I'm surprised you don't have a girlfriend though. You could probably get one easilly here; girls love foreigners." he said with a wink.

Malik picked up the plates to bring them into the other room, as he walked, he continued chatting with the other, "Oh... well, there are a lot of girls who like me. I can't understand why. I'm annoying to be with. They always come to visit me at work though. I work at the motorcycle shop down town and there are always all these giddy little Japanese girls trying to get my number and chat with me about bikes... even though they haven't got a clue about them." Malik chuckled. "It's amusing in the very least. Maybe it is the foreigner thing. In all honesty I'm not very interested in any of them... I'm looking for something else." He set down the plates on the table, without looking up he added, "And shut up Jounouchi, you're very cute."

"C-cute?!" Jounouchi asked, seeming insulted by the supposed-compliment, "I'm not cute!" he practically whined. He then looked away with a slight huff before grabbing the bowl of chips and following Malik into the living room, "At least to Japanese people I'm not..." he mumbled, "Maybe that's why so many girls like foreigners, because you have different opinions. Ah, but you're so lucky having all those girls bug you. You may not like it, but I think the attention'd be nice." he said with a nod, then laughed, "Girls always seem to go after the guys who aren't interested in them and hate the guys who are. Isn't that funny?" he asked, setting the bowl down, then looked over at Malik, "By the way, what is the "something else" you're looking for? You like tougher girls or something?"

Malik chuckled, placing one of the plates full of food in front of Jounouchi. "Here." Once everything was arranged to perfection he plopped down on the leather couch. "Well, perhaps your talking to the wrong Japanese people. And since I'm always right you don't need to listen to those jerks." Malik said with a smirk, taking a bite of a potato chip. He was also amazed that Jounouchi hadn't clued into the fact that Malik wasn't actually attracted to girls. Ah, well, he could figure it out on his own. It'd be funner to mess with his head a little bit anyway. "Well, I like blonds." Malik added with a playful grin while taking another chip.

Jounouchi grabbed an onigiri and bit into it, looking up at Malik with a challenging smirk as he chewed his food, "Always right eh? I could argue against that." he laughed, "And blonds? They can be cute but I prefer black hair." he said with a nod, then laughed, "Ah, but I probably shouldn't say that. Yuugi and Anzu've been trying to teach Honda and me not to be so shallow. Guess I'm not doing a good job." he smiled, peeling the seaweed off his onigiri and eating it.

"Well, they are right. You shouldn't be shallow. The funny thing is, that sometimes we end up dating some one who is the complete opposite of what we had expected. " Malik chuckled taking a carrot stick from his plate and biting into with a loud crunch. "Meaning, you just might end up dating a blond. Actually... we really ought to bet on it..." The Egyptian said with a clearly amused smirk, as he snapped the carrot in half in his fingers with a loud cracking noise. "And I haven't played a good game in a long time..."

Jounouchi raised an eyebrow curiously as he bit into the onigiri again, a couple grains of rice sticking to his mouth as he pulled it away, "Bet?" he blinked, then shrugged, stretching slightly, "I guess we could bet on it, but it might be a while before we can see who wins." he laughed, "But I really don't think I would mind dating a blond. While I like black hair better, beggers can't be choosers." he said with a nod, then laughed slightly, "Funny though that while I prefer black hair to blond hair, I ended up naturally blond, even though I'm pure-blood Japanese. Isn't that weird?"

"Think your a good example of strange? I've never died my hair before either. Blond is a recessive trait not found in many Middle Easterners at all. And yet, I'm 100% Egyptian..." Malik laughed, taking another carrot between his fingers, "As for the dating thing, it might not take as long as you expect it to..." He said slyly, running his tongue along the tip of the carrot. "What do you want to bet for then, Jounouchi? Money? Cards? Or perhaps something more interesting..."

Jounouchi laughed, "Guess we're both strange then." He then blinked, looking over at Malik curiously, "You really don't think it'd take that long? I dunno... I've been trying to get a date for a couple years now..." he laughed nervously, "But anyway, for the bet? I'm fine with money, as long as it's not too much... or maybe just someone treating the other to a burger or something. Cards... that's a maybe but..." he laughed a bit, "I don't think my cards measure up to your's at all, since you used to control the Ghouls and everything. But what is this "more interesting" thing you're talking about?" he asked, raising an eyebrow, seeming interested.

"Hmm... I dunno about that one..." Jounouchi said thoughtfully, "It doesn't seem very clever." he said honestly, "Because if I wanna win the bet, then all I have to do is not look for a date. And if you wanna win the bet, all you have to do is not look for a date. In the end the bet will just end up never ending." he said, nodding wisely as he took another large bite of onigiri. "Finding a date is a lot harder than avoiding a date."
