Hachi smiled at Velox. "Just making sure."

Hachi opened up the scroll and looked at the first jutsu on the list. The first one is the Cloud Cover Technique. It looks like it just makes a small cloud on the ground, not very useful, but it could help keep something hidden. After taking a minute to memorize the seals, Hachi pocketed the scroll in his pocket and went through the seals of the jutsu. Cloud Cover Technique. A moment later a small cloud condensed in front of him and stayed stationary.

Now that he had that one done, he took out the scroll and unraveled it to see which one he would work on next. Basically all the Thunder Voice Technique does is makes your voice louder, not very effective for battle, but it'll certainly get a person's attention. For this one he needed to use the genjutsu on someone else, so he went through a set of seals to bring out his clone. Lightning clone. He told the clone to give him a thumbs up whenever one of his genjutsus worked, and immediately went through another set of seals. Thunder Voice Technique. Hachi then gave the clone a quick "Hey." to make sure that the jutsu worked. And sure enough, the clone gave a visible twitch at Hachi's voice and gave the thumbs up sign.

Not wanting to further discomfort his clone, Hachi canceled his genjutsu and looked through the scroll again. The next one was called the Thunder Trap Seal, it essentially just warns the user that someone has walked by a certain area by making a large thunder sound. It seemed pretty simple so after Hachi was done memorizing the seals, he went through them to test it out. Thunder Trap Seal. Hachi primed the small cloud that he left on the floor earlier and stepped back. His clone then walked past the clone and immediately a large thunder clap was heard. Hachi didn't need to see the clones thumbs up to know that it worked.

Hachi dispelled both of the genjutsus and looked at the last academy jutsu on the list. The last one was called the Discharge Technique. It was basically another genjutsu that based solely on discomforting the opponent, but having enough of those active at the same time might overload a person's senses. When Hachi was done memorizing the seals, he went through them and touched his clone. Discharge Technique. The clone then touched the raikage's desk and gave a visible twitch before giving the thumbs up sign.

((Ok, it should take me 4 posts to learn genin techniques, but since I'm a genjutsu specialist I can learn it with on less post, and because of my kurama clan's kekkai genkai, I can knock off another two posts. So it only takes me one post to learn the genin genjutsu's =/ ))

Hachi opened up the scroll to see the genin level genjutsus. There was only three of them this time but they seemed a little more useful. The first one is called the Cloud Clone Technique, and essentially makes a bunshin that can't be destroyed. Hachi shrugged and went through the seals after he memorized them. Cloud Clone Technique. Another clone of Hachi appeared in front of him, seeming to be formed out of condensed clouds. Hachi took out a kunai and sliced the clone's head off. The head was separated from the body for a second, but the reattached itself to the body.

Hachi dispelled the jutsu and looked through the scroll again. The next one was called the Cherub's Foot Technique, and what it did was make a foot shaped out of a cloud fall onto the opponent, but dissipates before actually hitting them. Hachi thought it would be better if the person would actually feel themselves be squished, but he couldn't be too picky. Hachi took a minute to memorize the seals and then tried the jutsu out. Cherub's Foot Technique. Hachi made eye contact with his lightning clone but then the clone then noticed something from the direction of the ceiling. It then ducked down, protecting his head, before looking up a moment later. The clone looked around for a moment before giving a thumbs up sign.

Hachi unraveled the scroll again and read through the last genin genjutsu. The last one was a strange technique that was simply called "Cloud Watching". After activating the jutsu, the user says something about how care free clouds are, and then the person under the influence of the genjutsu feels like they become a cloud, then floats up to the sky. Hachi took a minute to memorize the jutsu and then went through the seals. Cloud Watching. A few moments after Hachi activated the jutsu, his clone started to have a more serene look on his face. "The clouds have such a care free life, don't they?" He said to the clone. The clone then looked up at the ceiling and became relatively motionless. Thinking that this was a fairly good indicator that the genjutsu worked, he dispelled it so that his clone would stop having such a stupid look on his face.

((Ok lets see, Jounin jutsus are 8 posts. Minus three for my class and bloodline, so that's 5 posts right there. Then multiply it by three because it's two ranks above me, which means I need 15 posts to learn it...Yay. -_- ))

Now that he had both the academy level, and the genin level jutsu's learned, he sat down on one of the chairs to take a break. The jutsu's by themselves didn't take up alot of his chakra, but doing them all together left him a little tired. After a little while, Hachi took out the scroll and opened it to the jounin section.

The jounin jutsu that Hachi wanted to learn was called the Absolute Weather Control Technique. It essentially made it look like the user could control the weather itself. Hachi could make it look like a hurricane or a cyclone was going through the area, even have a lightning storm striking at his opponent while that's happening. He could even make a firestorm envelop the area, or maybe a flash flood, the possibilities were really numerous, and nearly all of them deadly because of his bloodline.

So he would be at a little bit of a disadvantage if he was in a match that didn't allow deadly force, but then he could use the wind to push the opponent in a more favorable position. So was indeed a pretty versatile genjutsu, but it just had to be something the nature has an ability to make. So he wouldn't be able to make something like a person mad of lightning to fight his opponent, but something that the weather could actually make. So Draco took a few minutes to study the jutsu.

A little while later Hachi put the scroll down and pinched the bridge of his nose. This genjutsu seemed a little more complicated than the ones he learned before, but that was to be expected. He thought he had the gist of the jutsu down, but he needed a guinea pig to use it on.

Hachi looked at his clone, and sighed. He would have to do, since it would be rude to practice on an actual person. Hachi stood up and made a quick run through of the hand seals before doing the himself. Absolute Weather Control Technique. Hachi waited for something to happen, but nothing did.

Hachi frowned, he wanted a lightning bolt to strike near his clone, but it appeared that it didn't go as planned. Hachi decided to try again and went through the set of seals. Absolute Weather Control Technique. Hachi waited again, hoping that a lightning bolt would strike near his clone. But again, nothing happened.

Hachi frowned, usually he had at least a little bit of a result but it didn't appear that he had even a rudimentary knowledge of the jutsu. Obviously he either messed up on some of his seals, or he just missed something crucial when he studied how the jutsu worked. Hachi sat down again and studied the jutsu for another few minutes.

After the few minutes of studying the jutsu, Hachi pocketed the scroll again, and cracked his knuckles. "Alright, I think I know what I did wrong last time. But there's no knowing for sure unless I try it out."

Hachi looked at his clone and went through the seals of the jutsu again. Absolute Weather Control Technique. Hachi waited to see if the lightning would strike, but it didn't. "s**t...Maybe I need to put more chakra into the jutsu."

So Hachi went through the seals again, this time putting more chakra into the jutsu. Absolute Weather Control Technique. This time the lightning did strike a few feet away from the clone. But that wasn't exactly the only thing that Hachi wanted the jutsu to do.

Hachi wanted the lightning strike to cause a small fire to ignite on the carpet. Then he wanted the wind to feed the fire and cause a fire storm to swallow the clone whole. But it seemed like he didn't understand the jutsu enough for that to work.

Hachi sighed, and opened up the scroll again. If he wanted to make it seemed like he had complete control of the weather, he was going to have to learn how to utilize the jutsu better. So Hachi took a few minutes to study the jutsu more.

A little while later, Hachi rolled up the scroll and pocketed it once again. He quickly went through the seals of the jutsu, but he did so in an aggravated way. Absolute Weather Control Technique. Hachi waited for something to happen, but nothing came.

Hachi ground his teeth together, but then took a calming breath. He screwed up on the last attempt because he was and that made him lose focus. So he waited a little bit until he simmered down and made a clear picture of what he wanted in his mind. Absolute Weather Control Technique. This time the lightning bolt connected to the carpet and created a small fire.

Still keeping a clear picture in his mind, Hachi created a wind feed the fire. The fire then grew and spread out around the room. The fire kept on growing until it completely surround the clone, and then finally engulfed him in flames. To the clone, the office was engulfed in flames, but to Hachi and Velox it was just how it was normally. All that could be seen by the two was the clone's skin starting to be burned without any visible fire and the clone exploding into smoke because the genjutsu was actually fatal to him. "Finally, got that one down."

While Hachi was going through the scroll of cloud genjutsus, he noticed two chuunin ones that seemed pretty interesting. "Umm sir." He asked the man, since he couldn't recall if he had given his name earlier. "Can I learn the Lightning Rain Technique, and the Electric Hummingbirds Technique?"
