I never do that two second thing. I just pop it for around 2 minutes and it's usually fine. After that I can adjust if it's under or overcooked just by shaking it, so I will remember for next time what time is best. I will agree with Puppet though about the burning popcorn. It's easy to do.
Personally, I use a popcorn popper that's older than I am.

I used to not do the 2 seconds thing, but i've started to. it actually works. I dont actually count 2 seconds, but i just wait for a significant pause between each popping.
i eat popcorn often, so i've started to become a sort of a pro at cooking it. biggrin

DX my 2 year old cousin is a pro at making popcorn shoxie
its sad
I dont think I will be making my own popcorn anymore
