Guardians & Demon King Part III (Ending)

Ryuu growls at him, then takes off as well. She zooms past the vampires, not too far behind from Tarik. Her eyes change color as she looks around, she pulls out a male slave from the tree. After putting him asleep, she puts him on her back then races off. She looks up ahead to see Tarik not too far from her, yet far enough to where it seemed he was winning. She smirks, then runs faster to where she's next to him. "Just so you know...your slave is falling." She says with a smirk, her tail wrapping around the slave's foot and pulled him off of Tarik. Causing him to have to pick the slave up, which was plenty of time for her to speed up and beat him. Which she started to do as she ran faster towards the palace.

Remember those teachers I mentioned having for dreamwalking? I just met them there after quite a while, Onyx thought. "They're kinda harsh and rather wary of others most of the time; if you can attune to ji'e'toh to their minds, they're quite a bit friendlier," he said softly.

Sneaky that assassin, Tarik thinks. But I will not be wearing a dress! He picks up the slave and whips him towards Ryuu, clipping her from behind. He then picks up the man again and flies out of the reach of Ryuu's tail. He laughs as he passes her. "Two can play that game!"

"Oh. You looked...disturbed? No, more like...wierded out." Acos said.

"It's been nearly six years since I've seen them or heard from them; 'We will not assist you in the dream any longer,' was the last thing I heard from Bair. I didn't see them again until now, nor have I heard from them. They apparently have grown strong enough in the dream to sense what we did to get here," Onyx said softly, his tone dry and rather bored. It seemed he was bored, but that was only on the surface. Why now? Why have they returned now to speak to me after casting me out like da'tsang? he thought.

Acos was about to reply, when the crowd pulled her out to dance again.

Onyx started strumming a slow tune he knew well; then started singing softly. "She's got a smile that it seems to me,
Reminds me of childhood memories...
Where everything was as fresh as the bright blue sky...

The musicians began playing along with Onyx's singing, and Acos danced.

Ryuu lets out a large growl as looks up to see him past her. No way I'm being his maid! She runs faster, yet he was far up ahead. She reaches into her sleeve as she runs, pulling out a small dart. She puts the dart in her mouth, then spits it to where it hits a bird flying over them. The bird starts to bleed, throwing off most of the vampires, and falls right on Tarik's face. Ryuu smirks as she uses this to go past him,"Watch out for the vampires.." She warns him as a few of them glance at Tarik with red eyes.

Onyx shifted to a slightly brisker and trickier tune. "I don't know if you'll be able to follow this one, but you can try if you wish," he said softly.
"My best friend gave me the best advice,

Acos did manage to keep up, although the musicianns didn't know it, so they had to stop playing.

Tarik takes the bird and tosses the carcass at Ryuu. He's not gonna be nice now. He wipes the blood from his face with his sleeve. He maneuvers to out fly the vampires. Ryuu is near the temple gate now. He flies faster and when he is close enough, he rips off his cape and throws it over her like a fishing net. "Grrrr!"

I've got a slower one they should be able to follow, Onyx said silently to Acos.

At the end of the song, Acos made some non-harmful smoke come up around her, making her concealed. She them unfurled her wings, and silently took off to the balcony while the crowd was staring at the spot she had been at.

Onyx whistled softly, drawing the peoples' attention. "Ever seen someone simply vanish? I can make things both vanish and reappear with..." he flicked his wrist, lightly tossing a rose into the air. "a flick of my wrist," he finished. He twisted his wrist, then a small coin rolled across the backs of his fingers before he flicked it into the air, where it burst into a bird in a small burst of smoke. The people applauded, some smiling in surprise.
