You are not the only one, a lot of people get addicted to that game. I think it is a good thing that I don't like it too much.

I'm going to get archery lessons soon but there's many types of bows to choose from,has anyone else ever had any training and if so any suggestions?I like the longbow but the minimum pull strength I've seen for them is 45 lbs and I can't pull that,so I think I may need to start witha recurve(I hate compound bows,they may be easy to use but are fugly as hell)

Why not start off with the small ones until you have the arm strength to use the long bows?

45 is the legal limit for hunting an such on a long bow. I would sugest going to a sportingoods store and requesting a short bow with a pull back of about 15 - 30 lbs.

I have a compound bow set at 45, but I don't get to shoot it anymore. My uncle has one at about 65lbs. eek The think can shoot through solid wood blanks.

My cousin has a fiberglass longbow at 15 lbs. Its fun to shoot.

Don't forget to find out your arm to bow ratio for arrow size. wink

It has been so long since I have fired a bow. I never got to use any of the new style ones with pulley systems - I was stuck with the old (and when I say old I mean old) wooden style bows.

I love long bows. MY compound is nice, but longbows just feel more reel.

Damn, this guild reminded me of a hobby I haven't indulged in, in years. I can't believe I still remember some of the stuff. xd

No place to do it where I'm at. I live in an apartment complex now. I used to do it when I lived out in the country. The Banjo playing opossums and I where good friends. biggrin
