Cassie suddenly remembered the schoolgirl crush Felicia had on Myth and how selfish she had been. They had thought to save her, she should be thankful, even if it was stupid.
She turned and pulled Felicia into a hug and placed her chin on the younger girl's head and said, "It's okay. Don't worry about. One, Dmitri is an idiot so you probably should be listening to him but what's been done has been done. Emma and Myth know my brother and he'd never hurt me or let anything bad happen to me. But, like I said what is done is done.
Look you tried your best and that is what counts. Emma is one of the most powerful telepaths alive, and we're the X-men. It isn't like the Brotherhood can keep Myth forever. Besides Myth is very competent who knows he might show up even before we can do a rescue mission with half his shirt torn off, his hair wild and start yelling at us for disobeying his orders not to go running off to Genosha to save me."

Felicia smiled a little at the thought of Myth with half a ripped shirt. Despite that she didn't hear the words she was expecting to hear, 'thank you'. The fox girl's ears lowered and so did her tail, she stepped away saying, "Right." she looked briefly at her with her eyes glazed with tears and headed back up to her room.
She simply made it all sound it was a mistake. It was a mistake to risk their lives and Myth to rescue her. It was an inconvenience to interrupt their camping trip to bring her back home. She felt like crud, it really was the wrong thing to do. Myth and Emma were right they shouldn't have rescued her, she was safe and Myth would be home safe and sound if they didn't try. Why did we even try?...
She had a sneaking suspicion that the reason why she didn't say thank you or show any appreciation for her return was because Dmitri was involved. It bothered her so much that she treats him like a jerk even though he hadn't really done anything to deserve that assumption. He was the only one that wanted to save Cassie aside from herself. Even if he's under her influence, it still seemed like he had a mind of his own.

Cassie looked confused as Felicia merely said 'right' to her pep talk. The girl had tears in her eyes and she turned and left. Cassie stood there confused and stunned. What had she done wrong? Was it something she said? What was wrong? She knew it was upsetting to not have Myth there, Cassie wanted to spend a couple hours in the danger room to vent her frustration and upset feelings but...
She let out a long sigh and looked over to Scott Summers who looked as stoic as ever behind his red glasses: at least she wasn't the only one who had to sport eyewear constantly. Oh right, she didn't at the moment because her stalker-or Vlad or Dmitri or some Russian name- decided to disable her powers.
"My powers don't work, right?" Cassie asked, staring at the wall opposite of Dmitri.
"Yeah... why?" He said sounding confused to the point of her question.She didn't answer. Instead, she took off the sunglasses she was wearing and her green eyes kept staring at the wall opposite of Dmitri. It had been a long time since she had been around people without glasses on-or occasionally contacts. It actually felt odd not to have some weight on her nose. She let out a sigh and closed her eyes and balled her fists: what should she have said to Felicia instead? All she kept doing was hurting people. Code name Love... what a joke she brought pain to others more than happiness.Location: Sebastian's Lab

Sebastian nodded. "Then we'll keep Kovac here. Once again, I apologize, Headmistress." Sebastian was grateful for the change in subject and the apparent conversation close, as he wasn't sure if he wanted to tell Emma about the voice in his head or not. I'll run some tests... he thought to himself. He opened the door again and nodded to Scott. "Kovac, you're staying here. Same room as before." He glanced at Cassandra. "Don't worry. It's nowhere near your room." Her sunglasses were off. Interesting. She had really bright green eyes.Inventory:

but you can call me Love or Heartbreaker Dmitri raised a brow at Sebastian's announcement and Cassie's eyes brightening as he entered the room. He smirked and said, "Am I too much of a danger to erase Cassie's power from me then?" He shrugged, "Doesn't matter, I am happy as I am."
He got off the table and said, "I'm going to go talk to Felicia. She went to her room after Cassie's inspiring pep talk about Myth being gone."She turned and narrowed her green eyes at him in disgust.
"Don't worry," Dmitri said with a shrug, "I'm good with people. And I like Felicia as a person. I don't like to see people upset." He threw up his hand and exited the lab and as he went he said, "And I'd say in about half an hour your power will be back on."Cassie looked briefly confused and then turned to Sebastian and said, "On the same continent is too close to my room, I will have you know." She then brightened and a smile formed on her face and she bound over to Sebastian and said, "So, anyways, tell me Mr. Arkain about this story of you lying about some lemur in Madagascar... Felicia gave me the cliff notes version already to me. Oh, and it's good to see you again, even if you disturbed my camping trip."Location: Sebastian's Lab

Dmitri used his power to easily track Felicia to her room and saw the closed door. He took a deep breath and knocked on the door and said, "Felicia? It's me, Dmitri... is it okay if I come in?"
He did want to make Felicia feel better, and apparently, Cassie wasn't that great at thinking of others even when making an effort, though he sort of remembered Warp saying something like that about his sister once or twice. He also didn't want to deal with Sebastian Arkain. But also, he couldn't help but still love Cassie, and he wanted to help her. He figured making Felicia feel better after she messed up counted as helping her. Also, like he had said in the lab he honestly liked making people feel better and did like Felicia as a person.

The door to her room was partially opened in case she felt she needed to gallop around in her fox form some odd hour in the morning. The fox girl sat on her bed, blowing her nose. Everytime she blew her tail would poof and straighten, looking a little frazzled. She heard foot steps nearing her door. While her nose was cleared enough she detected it was Dmitri. "Come in!" she said when he was about to knock.
With sad eyes she looked up to Dmitri, "Did we really do the right thing?
It's as if this whole rescue mission was just a big inconvenience to her. She has yet to say 'thank you' or 'it's great to be back'. Was it worth loosing Myth over this?"

Dmitri pushed the door opened and shut it behind him and walked over to where she was and stood against the wall across from the bed. "Yeah, from what I've heard of Cassie, I don't think 'thank-you' is really in her vocabulary... or 'gracias'... I mean she is technically bilingual."
He forced a smile and said, "I'm totally telling you this not to be told to anyone else, okay? We weren't the only ones going behind Emma's and Myth's back to save Cassie. The lemur story Arkain cooked up was total bull. He planned it so that just he with me as a stowaway could save Cassie. And quite honestly I think there was more to that than even just that but as you probably can tell Arkain and I aren't buddy-buddy."
He glanced away and said, "Cassie isn't stupid. I'm sure she knew her brother was in Genosha when she found out about her powers... if she really wanted to be in Genosha she would have gone then. I mean it wouldn't have been that hard with her power to convince someone to take her there."

Felicia listened to Dmitri. She tilted her head as he confessed that Arkain never needed the lemur in the first place. As for not being buddy-buddy, she thought they may have been butting heads a little here and there but she didn't think it was deeper than that. Then again her thinking the best of people can sometimes blind her to the truth. He had a point about Cassie really wanted to be in Genosha she'd be there already. She wiped her eyes a little.
"Really?... She seemed so nice the my first day here. She let me use some of her clothes and said she would help me shop in New york... but we all know how that went... She even promised to help me find my parents at some point... they were caught by the MRD... I couldn't thank her enough."
"As for Arkain, I thought it was weird that suddenly we didn't need a lemur. But I thought it had something to do with him 'discovering' you were there. I knew you were on board... I didn't want Myth to know because he would have done something about it."
"I suppose you have a point about her and Genosha, she would have been there already if she wanted... Speaking of her power.
I think it's just awful that she just jumps to conclusions and treat you like a jerk. It's like the one thing she knows about you is enough to not even try to get to know you as a person. It bother's me so much you don't deserve to be treated that way. I really wanted to put a good word for you ... but... you told me not to... and odds are she'll think I'm simply taking your side and end up treating me like jerk as well..."her tail looked like it was trying to tie itself in knot. "It's like I really want to help but I feel like I would only make matters worse. I know... it didn't seem to work... for... Shadow Walker was it?"

"I'd rather not speak of Shadow Walker," Dmitri said sounding uncomfortable as he balled his fists. "I mean you think Cassie's a jerk to me, you have no idea what I have done."
He bit his lip and then took a deep breath and said, "Not being able to say thank-you and being a bad person are two very different things, Felicia. Her power is better suited to take things from people, to control people, but she doesn't abuse her power like that. She trained to be an X-men to help people in her own way, I think. That's kind of admirable."
"Anyways, even forgetting everything about her powers and that she believes people who fall under her power can't 'genuinely' love her," Dmitri said with a grimace, "I'd never be the type of guy she'd fall for anyways."

"I don't have to know what you've done. All I know is who I've met doesn't seem to act like the way she's been treating you."
"Yes.. it is admirable of her but still... we've risked our necks for her and all we get is 'what is done is done'? Even I grew up with saying thank you when something was done for me or some one went through the trouble to help me with something and I grew up in a cabin in the woods."
"Don't give up... hopefully she'll get beyond this whole 'he's under my power therefore he's a jerk' and at least you guys can start to get along." she didn't want Dmitri to give up but also she didn't want to mislead him and simply that she'd love him back.

"You're only seeing the best in me," Dmitri said. "I used Shadow Walker in order to reach my objective of seeing Cassie... and you know what the messed up part is... she likes me. And then she goes and tells Cassie to give me a chance."
He let out a humorless laugh, "I know her brother better than I know Cassie to tell you the truth. They grew up with two workaholic parents who weren't around for them. Warp thinks he has to be in control and has to appear without any weaknesses. Is it so weird that his little sister who he practically raised might think the same way? Some people think saying 'thank-you' is a sign of weakness."
He sighed, "And, the thing is Cassie and I... we might someday get along, I mean we'll have to for missions, but that isn't what I want."

She listened to Dmitri and thought about Shadow Walker at his mention. When they confronted her in Genosha. She spoke like someone who was trying to help. After Cassie simply mentioned over and over she had a crush. Which lead her to believe that maybe Shadow Walker and Dmitri are in the same position.
"I know it may not be what you want... but to get anywhere right now she needs to get over that hurtle. After that who knows? I wouldn't give up, not just yet.
Y'know, I can't be sure... but... what if Shadow Walker is in the same position you are with Cassie. Um... just bare with me for a moment. I'm sure it would be obvious from the start that that you wouldn't like her back the same way... so instead she decided to support you, as the least that she could do... Doesn't that sound familiar?"

"Cassie already likes someone here," Dmitri said simply, cutting her off about holding hope about Cassie.
He listened to her explanation about Shadow Walker. It made sense. He knew it already intellectually but it isn't what he wanted for her. "You have no idea how painful it is to sit by and watch while you support someone and they run to someone else. Besides, what she's supporting... I know you are saying stay positive... but what do I have to go off that Cassie will ever like me in the way I want her to? I have nothing."
