I see. o wo I never got around to playing the game, so...

He helps you fight against the Gargoyles, the Gaping Dragon, The Centipede Demon, and is capable of helping you fight against the final boss, The Lord of Cinders, Gwyn...if you know how to save his life and manage to do it.

He also has a Covenant you can join that encourages JOLLY COOPERATION! 8D
i.e. Helping other people in their games by assisting them in boss battles. It teaches you one of the strongest magics in the game if you get to a high enough level...

...He may or may not also be the second son of Gwyn, making him something of a demi-god himself. XD

Oh! He also tag-teams Ornstein and Smough with you...which is just EPIC. ...No other NPC fights more than 2 bosses with you...Solaire will help you with five.
(Though if you save his life, he doesn't get to help you with Centipede Demon...but does help you with Gwyn. It's either-or.)

Never a tough choice for me, since Gwyn is THE boss and Centipede Demon actually becomes optional if you save SunBro. XD

The tougher choice is whether or not you want to spend time collecting 30 Humanity to sacrifice to Queelag's sister in order to unlock the secret path to the Bed of Chaos (and the Sunlight Maggots you have to kill BEFORE they get SunBro). ...30 is a LOT of Humanity to spend. Though there is no more worthy cause than saving a bro of the highest order. v.v -nod-

But yeah, anyway...what else is new this morning? XD
