"And what happens if you get stuck in there?"

"Edge, even I understand that you are threatening harm against your creator."

"I won't," he replied simply. "Not the first time I've taken a risk or done something crazy and came back sir."  

[Zahzi]

"Yeah...Like with Prometheus...."  

[cptflint]

"And here I stand," he said. "It's not like I'd be going alone on this mission either."

"It's not harmful, it's a suggestion!" Edge groaned, looking back at Metal Man rather hurt that he hadn't been on her side.

"He wants you to be safe, and I want him to be safe. And the safest place for you two to be is somewhere asleep."  

[Zahzi]

Icarus just gave a sigh, not liking the plan.

"But your father has not been proven to be dangerous."  

[cptflint]

"Yea... I know. I don't really like it either but that doesn't mean I'm not going to do it," he said, then let out a sigh. "The partitioning would be a lot safer in the long run..."  

[Zahzi]

"Just keep in mind that if you get infected in there, I'll have to put you down." Icarus sighed.

"Neither have you! Hell, you woke up and got a fist in your face immediately!" Edge argued, flailing her arms about in frustration.  

[Zahzi]

"I tore him apart when he was still human." Metal Man replied simply.

He nodded. "I understand," he replied as he turned to leave.

"That was an old you though! You've turned over a new tree! Or... Whatever that stupid expression is..."  

[Zahzi]

"Leaf." Hal corrected.

"It matters little."

It didn't take long for Steam to get back to Hal's office. "He agreed but he wasn't happy about it..."
