Green Day or Simple Plan?

I like Green Day in the Kerplunk to Shenanigans era. Simple Plan in my opinion is just a poser band.

Anyway, I like pre-American Idiot Greenday, back when they had a sense of humour and didn't take it seriously at all.

Now they are just another bunch of eyeliner wearing f**-boys who think they have a god-given right to get up on their soap box, and comment on issues that haven't affected them for over 10 years.

i liked untitled (simple plan) and some of songs made by green day...
but now i don't really listen them any more...^^

I prefer Simple Plan to Green Day for the fact Green Day basicly sold out. They went from having fun with their music to getting all preachy and up their own a**es telling you to save the planet. I can understand writing a song or 2 on the subject but they made it their entire focus as a band. Damn U2 for making them suck. I like their early stuff alot better. Simple Plan all I can say is what happened? Did their singer get fat or is that a different guy?

I don't get it why people say Green Day sold out, their sound is the same as it was years ago, only the lyrics are different.
And about those lyrics, they went from "Lets smoke pot" to "A story of my dad in his last moments of life," they are in their mid 30's, I think they can sing about more then pot.

I really don't like both of the bands in this thread, maybe a song or two by Green Day once every year or so.

Im not a huge Green Day fan, I only like a few of their songs. But I perfer them way more than Simple Plan. Im not sure why though...

My opinion is that they neither suck or are awsome.
I think they're just ok.

I only really like about five green day songs..their video for walking contradiction made me laugh though..course simple plan suck a**.
