Awww, I thought it was cool! D; But anyway, my teacher ended up moving the due date to Monday after the break for the Frankenstein essay so I have some free time tonight. ^^ I only have two more paragraphs to write now anyway, then to type and edit it. And yeah, I tried to pick an interesting topic for the Goverment project. I wanted to do censorship, but someone got to it before me. I agree, people are terrible to animals. I can understand hunting and eating meat and stuff, but the horrible treatment of animals before they are slaughtered and the torture just isn't necessary.

Well, then I'm afraid I must inform you that YOU are the lame one. X3
Oh that is good! Yes, just like my essay not actually being due yet you had a stroke of good luck yourself! =D Gooo luck!!!
I actually had neighbors that abused their pets. They were very cruel to their animals; they kept their pit-bull chained in the backyard and hardly fed him. They also had a cute little dog. One day he escaped from their yard and ran up to me. Not only could I see the poor little guy's ribs cage, I could see his hip bones jutting out from his sides. It was awful. I also had seen the family's son throw their cat into a tree once, and they fed that same cat dog food. Poor thing.
My mom's friend ended up killing her puppy because she abused it. The family tied it up in the backyard one hot afternoon and it died of heatstroke. -.- People piss me off to no end. Not only do we trash the environment, but we trash the creatures that occupy it. I always feel as though we have taken over their land and should give at least some of it back.... *sigh* ...but I can't change the world by wanting something... -.- I do my part by recycling, picking up trash and donating to animal shelters. My puppy is actually a rescue dog as well. An elementary school teacher found her and her litter abandoned in the school yard at two weeks old. They would've died if not for her actions. Once they turned six weeks old she gave them to the SPCA, and we ended up adopting one of them. I luff my puppy so much now! I'm so happy that good people like that teacher do exist. <3

We did have some conditons for turning the essay in later though: we're not allowed to whine for the rest of the semester about work she gives up, we had to still turn in our study guide and other stuff involving the unit on the original due date, and we weren't allowed to leak a word to second hour, who have the same class as us but still had to turn it in on the original due date. XD;; Our English teacher favors us in fourth hour because we're about half the size of second hour. Abuse makes me so sad. D: Most of our pets were saved: one of our cats had been my brother's, but he was living with his wife's (ex-wife now) family at the time and her mom wouldn't let them keep the cat, so they would've had to send her out to the streets as a kitten unless we took her in, so we did. Then one of our dogs we got from the pound, and the other one we were given by these people who didn't take care of her at all. They just left her outside all day (in friggin' Arizona, and she was a puppy at the time!) and hardly fed her and just ignored her. She's half beagle, half basett hound, so she needs a lot of attention or she'll just bark non-stop. When we got her we could see her ribs (and she's half-basett you must remember... they're naturally fat dogs) adn she had never been inside a house before. We had to house break her at about six months old, plus at night she would go out into the back yard thinking she had to sleep out there. She also wouldn't stop eating when we fed her because she didn't think she'd get anymore for a while, and even today (at about six years old), she still has some issues. If she doesn't get enough attention she'll bark and chew things up and do anything she can to get in trouble just to rebel, and she also sucks on her blanket as a means of comfort. (it's kind of like the equivelant of a person sucking their thumb) We do have one other cat, but she was given to us by a friend of my dad's as a kitten when our first cat died, so she wasn't exactly saved.

Aww... but whining is so fun. O_o That's lucky that your class is favored though. =3
Yea, a lot of cats don't got adopted though... people seem to favor dogs over cats... -.- I'm glad your puppy is okay though. She sounds cute. ^^
That is how I got my cat... my first cat was hit by a car, and I was given my grandmother's cat's kitten some time after that. Even if they weren't saved, if we hadn't taken them something bad might've happened to them.

Yeah, there always seem to be so many more stray cats than dogs. D: At least they can survive better than dogs can. When I live on my own though, I'm planning on getting two or three cats. X3 And by the time I'm sixty my goal is to be the crazy cat lady down the street. My sister even got me a crazy cat lady action figure once. <3
