What is Emo music?

I've been wondering, what is Emo music and what's not? I saw these two videos from this guys saying what is and isn't Emo music. I want to know if he's accurate.

stare first off that was a waste of time to watch second i don't like the guys voice... although i do like his hair and his shirt confused and i wouldn't say thats emo.. maybe some lyrics and very few parts of the songs.. this guy doesnt know emo music burning_eyes

but he is right the other bands in "not emo" arnt emo id call some scremo but not emo.. and btw those songs r good stare
