My Large Vocabulary is no longer Accessable

My words,
they are not elegant.
My thoughts
are quite limited.
Emotions over-rule my thoughts
if you could read my mind - you'd see white space.
Instead of words,
I see the image
and I feel the scene.
I apologize for my lack of expression
you see, I'm trying to ponder.
Instead of dazed, instead of pleased, the look you see
is brooding.
Trying to back-track,
knowing what had occurred,
I've lost the feeling of what it was.
Again, I apologize.

I am not a skilled poet
or a popular romantic;
the only words I have to give
are I love you.

This isn't good at all. Why are you praising it?
There's absolutely no feeling whatsoever in this poem. Absolutely none. If there was, there'd be more of a declaration, more emotion, more soul. There'd be praise of the subject, devotion. But there's not. There's none at all.
