1) Reasons for being atheistic:
There are more than one answer. Your capitalized one is a very good one. Other radical ones are: the world will be a much better place without god; if god actually exists, we won't be as ******** up as we are; religion is for suckers who can't accept the simple fact that s**t happens...

Less radical ones: I don't need a god to tell me to do good things; I don't see any evidence of god in human affairs; religion oversimplifies the world into two contrasting sides, ignoring the entire gray area in between; even religion doesn't have the answer to everything (if the person insists it does, tell them the answers are too sucky), etc, etc, etc.

2) I know I'll be going to hell; might as well have some fun on my way there. (or just say "I don't believe in hell", duh.)
