Any other online hangouts?

I'm kind of getting bored of Gaia a bit. Now I'm searching for other sites that are similar, yet more simplistic (my god Gaia used to be so much easier and fun back in '04 and '05). Only ones I've found so far:

-Magivolve
-Menewsha
-Zantarni

Any others you'd like to share?

I tried those other sites...I have an account on Menewsha, Whuddle World, and Magivolve...but I find Gaia to be much easier and more...something.

Menewsha is okay. The only thing I really dislike about it is how the forums are set up. It's REALLY hard to read the topic titles, since they are so damn compacted together. Also, their games are currently down.

Magivolve is great. However, it gets extremely confusing when you have four different item types (Human Male, Human Female, Tibian Male, Tibian Female). I mean c'mon... What sense is there to have four of the same item for four different bases? That, and it's hard to navigate around the site. There are WAYYY too many buttons to choose from. And most of those buttons lead me to places I never even seen before.

Whuddle World I've never heard of. It sounds like a places for Tweens though.

There is Roliana.
It's cool, but it's hard to get gold.
It doesn't work with letters or gems, it works with platina, to get MCs.
You need 2 platina to get an MC, and the forums are like Gaia.

I find Gaia to be better though, better graphics and the avatars look a lor cuter ^^

That's because a lot of sites just take Gaia's foundation and copy off of it. Hence why 90% of recent boards like that are pretty much cheap Gaia imitations.

The only reason Neopets is so successful is because it only deals with "pets" only, while sites like the recently deceased Subeta always try to mix Gaia's avatars and Neopets' virtual pets, usually failing while doing so.

people think that if they make a cheap imitation of a website that is a Hit among people will work... they are awfully wrong u.u

They'll only become successful if they know how to make something new and different from what there's already there
I never played Neopets, but I heard a lot about it
