I wanted to get an african chichilid, but at wal-mart (not a verry good place to get fish) they had a side for gold-fish, and a side for warm-water fish. and chichilids were on the side for warm water. In the warm water tanks, they were all cycling water together, and all the little fish were developing small white bumps on their bodies.

Breeding cichlids demand a lot of knowlige about that selective species. The ciclids I have bred are more along the lines of "leave them be and they will take care of it themselfe" like the pelvicachromis, nannacara and haplochromis.
