I'd be a bit iffy about letting my 13 year old son to concerts.

Though my parents are extremely overprotective, they're actually let me (an 11 year old girl) go to a punk show downtown by myself. Very strange, because they usually don't let me go to the mall or something with friends

Yeah I think mainly all families are like that, I think you don't feel accepted for a while but as you grow you find your niche in the family. Do your best and hang in there, it will be fine.

I used to feel like that all the time, I still do but I don't let that bother me. I love them, they love me they are all that I got.
