As the bus rattled down the road, Lizz was fiercely tapping away at her laptop, sitting indian-style in the ragged bus seats. She'd been playing her favorite online game, World of Warcraft, "Oh viens!" she blurted out as she'd been killed in the silly little game, "Hackers." she commented quietly in a slight accent, rolling a green lollipop around in her mouth. While she continued to play her game, the bus pulled to an abrupt stop as it got to the bus stop, jerking her forward without warning. She didn't have her feet on the floor to stop her, so naturally she smacked into the back of the seat in front of her as her laptop fell from her lap and hit the floor with a distinct crack as she fell onto it, "Ack!" she cried out, struggling to wiggle her body out of the awkward position it'd fell into, stumbling to her feet after a few moments. She looked down to see her laptop's screen blackened, "Oh non.." she muttered quietly under her breath, she leaned down and picked it up, it's hinges were nearly snapped at the middle where it folded, broken after the beating it'd taken from falling then being crushed by a teenage girl. She folded it back up and sighed, grabbing her black satchel out of her seat as she began to walk up to the front of the bus, she passed the driver and said "Merci monsieur." which was only met with a questioning glance by the man, "Oh, my apologies, thank you?" she corrected herself in an accented English, the man nodded at her and welcomed her as she got off of the bus.
She slung her bag strap around her shoulder as the bus drove away, letting out a sigh as she looked back down at her ruined laptop, "Just great." she said to herself, looking up at the twins with a shy wave of her hand, "Hi," she said quietly, quickly making an exit from the bus house before they had a chance to respond, she was never confident around more than one person, freezing up with the simplest questions and greetings.
She looked up at the night sky as she left the protection of the bus house, standing against the side of the building, she sat down and leaned her back up against it. She opened her bag and rummaged around in it, looking for her gameboy SP, "Where are you hiding now?" she quietly asked as she searched around the large black satchel. After a few minutes of searching, a quiet rustling sound came from the bushes of the neighboring forest, Lizz whipped her head up and looked towards the treeline. She focused for a moment as the noise grew louder, causing her to stand up, gripping her laptop tightly as the slightest thumping noises followed the rustling. When the noise reached it's peak, a the bus stop fiend revealed itself as it stepped out from the blanket of trees. Lizz backed up against the bus house, "Oh mon dieu!" she cried out as it stepped forward, the ground trembled under it's footsteps. Lizz shakily reached into the pocket of her baggy cream sweatpants, pulling out her switchblade knife and clicking the handle to send the blade swinging up and open. The ogre didn't seem to be fazed by the pathetic knife, thumping towards her and raising his massive fist to the girl. She screamed and held up her laptop like a shield, having it bust in half as the ogre slammed his fist through it. She ducked away and let go of her destroyed laptop, tripping and quickly stumbling to her feet as she ran away. She'd never seen anything like this in Europe.
As she ran down the road in the dark of night, she looked back only once, unable to see anything in the distance, she slowed to a walk, eventually falling to her knees and panting, taking a rest, 'What was that?' she thought as she stood to her feet, closing her knife and putting it back into her pocket. She decided it was best to keep walking, just to make sure she wasn't being pursued by the beast. She eventually made it to the gates of a town, looking up, a large sign read "Havencrest.." she announced quietly to herself. She started feeling like she was in the Wizard of Oz. She walked down the dirt road, letting the path take her wherever it led. Hopefully not to another ogre.
