Does Anyone Know What 55 Fiction Is?

55 fiction is when you write a small story in 55 words or less.

It gets a little complicated because you may not be able to use the exact phrase you want but it's pretty fun.

If you want to give it a try, choose any topic!

I did it for a Creative Writing course in school.

Back in fifty-five words.

sweatdrop That was a lot harder than it sounded.

For the kids on fifty-fourth street, playing “war,” meant running and jumping and shooting, falling, dying, and rising again. Just outside Baghdad and fourteen years later, the child that was Alexander Markham would look up from his scope realize that in the real world, soldiers don’t always walk away.

Looking through the mirror, at the world, he wasn’t content just to peer. He stepped through the mirror, and at the pinnacle of his wonder was shredded along with his hope to be a part of this world. He was to be dispersed into the imagination of all; in the end he got his wish.
