I grew up with the english dub, but I can't stand to watch it anymore after watching the japenese sub.
Subbed is much better although I wouldn't mind if FUNimation re-dubbed it or something.
Or is that the wrong thing to say..?? confused

The only thing I like about the dubbed version is the fact that it was what first introduced me to Sailor Moon, other then that I'm not a fan at all. They changed way to many things to make it "suitable" for a younger audience. Sailor Moon is best in it's original uncut japanese version, with subtitles of course! biggrin

When I re-watched a few months ago, I actually started out with the English dub.
I found it sort of cute.
Like the thread owner, I couldn't stand Usagi's new voice.
When I got to the S arc with the dub, I couldn't take it anymore, and I switched to the subbed Japanese.
I actually ended up liking the Japanese a lot more, and it's more 'inappropriate,' I suppose.

subs, dubs... I can watch both. If I start watching a show subtitled, I can't watch the dub, and if I start to watch it dubed, I usually don't watch it subtitled.

The voices sound like finger nails on a chopping block!
Ugh. And there is more adult humor in the Japanese!

It's a love-hate relationship for me. I hate how much they edited in the dub, but I can't despise it due to nostalgia purposes. The dub was the first version of SM I had seen.
But I love sub. Lotsa funny jokes. heart

I prefer the uncut version. I like the Japanese anime with English subtitles the best.

I prefer the Japanese subbed version but the English dub is what got me into it so I can't say I hate it. Although, the Abridged series makes the English dub worth it sometimes.
