1. You are welcome to post new topics. Try not to post repeat topics.
2. Post with at least a decent attempt at grammar and spelling.
3. All topic subjects are welcome. They DO NOT have to be about atheists or religion.
4. If someone is breaking rules, PM me.
However, if you have a personal complaint with another member, talk to them outside of the guild.
5. You are still expected to try and be respectful of others' beliefs, whether or not they are present in our guild, so support your arguments. If it's useless flaming in the Extended Discussion, it's still useless flaming here.
6. More annoying things to avoid: No bumping, spamming, or emote posts outside of the Random Sub-Forum. Try not to stretch pages.
7. Be polite to your fellow members.
And for those who aren't atheist..
This should be obvious, but no one should come here with the intention to convert, insult, flame or anything of that ill nature.
Before requesting to join, if you are simply curious about Atheism, or for whatever reason you have for wanting to join, try just looking through the threads first. We have MANY threads about why people are atheist and even more closely related topics.
Also, as it says on the home page, PM G_A_U instead of submitting a join request.
exclaim This sticky is also where you can post banners for the guild, ask questions, and make suggestions. If you think you have something the guild as a whole should discuss then make a topic.

The Breakdown: He is where we are going to breakdown and explain the two sub-forums of this guild. Essentially their purposes are very simple. The Random sub-forum is just a better chatterbox and the Q&A is a place for our theist members to ask questions away from the main page. As you have probably guessed, the sub-forums are here for one reason:
We don't want them in the main page.
They are there to keep silly threads and theistic ideologies out of our primary line of sight. This doesn't mean we frown on silly threads or curious Theists, it just means there is a time and a place for them. The time is whenever, and the place is in one of those two forums.
Examples: This should help you decide where your thread should go. If your thread displays your opinion on a topic and seeks others thoughts, it goes on the main page. If it just presents a topic, it probably goes in the Random forum. If it presents something that pertains to something religious from a theistic point of view, then it goes in the Q&A forum.

That belongs in the random sub-forum, even if there was a link. What would have changed it is if there was a comment on knowledge and a question about it.

That is main page material. Same subject, but a more in depth approach. However:

That belongs in the Q&A. Mind you, topics that pertain to religion do not automatically go in the Q&A. What makes them go there is if the topic is coming from a Theist! The Q&A is the only place in the guild a Theist may ask questions of Atheists about Atheism or anything remotely similar. The End.

Inviting Friends: For those of you who like this guild to send an invite to a special someone that you think would also enjoy this guild, please visit this thread to post you recommendation:
Donating: Please do not donate directly to the guild! As of right now we have no intention of using more subforums, and since that's all we can do with direct donations, we have no use for it. If you feel that need to give a little back, you can always send donations the old fashioned way with G_A_U. These donation will go to raffles, contests, game prizes!
A T.O.S. Clarification: You are welcome to debate any topic in the guild, as long as the reply itself is not written in a way that breaks the T.O.S.

That depends. Whether the issue deals with Atheism or not has nothing to do with where it goes. It all has to do with how it's presented. Example:
Quote: So, this guy, like, totally cut me off today! What a d**k!
Random!
Quote: So, this guy, like, totally cut me off today! What a d**k! And it got me thinking; why do people, like, think they can do anything when they're in their car? Doesn't that piss you off?!
Main!
The difference is that post 2 is not just a statement, but the poster's thoughts on the topic and a question. Sometimes we can bend this a bit, but, as I said, don't worry if you post in the wrong place because it's only 2 clickies of my mouse to fix.
You can absolutely post about life issues in the main forum so long as you present a topic, give your thoughts on it, and whether directly or indirectly offer a question on the topic. Such as:
Quote: OMG! My parents grounded me for no reason!!!
VS
Quote: OMG! My parents grounded me for no reason!!! Why do they have to be like that? Should I run away?
Post 1 = Random, post 2 = main. Does that help?
